Marc Rousel's spooky short The Last Halloween is available in full and the director even passed along four haunting new character posters to share here. The film, which takes place at Halloween in a time of societal collapse is fast become a holiday staple around these parts.
The film stars Ron Basch, Emily Alatalo, Angela Besharah and Julian Richings as "Chatterbox."
Synopsis:
The city is quiet; the streets, deserted. It doesn’t much feel like Halloween, and yet four young trick-or-treaters – a Ghost, a Devil, a Grim Reaper and a Witch – make their way through the night, door to door and house by house, gathering up an unlikely harvest of kindness amid the devastated wreckage of society’s collapse.

Halloween is my favourite time of year, and so while we don’t normally post trailers for short films (sorry but there is only so much time in a day), I couldn’t resist passing up the opportunity to promote the latest short from Canadian filmmaker Marc Roussel. According to Twitch, Roussel is putting the final buff and polish on his latest film, but so far it is looking spectacular. The film follows four young trick-or-treaters who set out on a door-to-door adventure during what seems to be a post-apocalyptic setting. Adapted from the comic by Mark Thibodeau, The Last Halloween stars Ron Basch, Emily Alatalo, Julian Richings, Angela Besharah, Brendan Heard, Drew Davis, Jake Goodman, Zoe Fraser, Kritty Uranowski, Adrian Griffiths, Alastair Forbes, and Ali Adatia. Watch the teaser below. Enjoy!

Stars: Aaron Poole, James Gilbert, Ian Anderson, Angela Besharah, Bruce Clayton, Laura de Carteret, Peter Apostolopoulos | Written and Directed by Christopher MacBride
“For you see, the world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined…” – Benjamin Disraeli, British Prime Minister 1874 – 1880
The Conspiracy is directed by Christopher MacBride, who makes his feature film debut behind the camera to tell this tale. The story follows two guys named Aaron (Aaron Poole) and Jim (James Gilbert) who are making a documentary about people who believe in conspiracy theories. It begins as a basic documentary as we follow the shoulder’s of these two filmmakers as they speak with people who believe in these ideas. It is striking, to begin with, by how realistic these opening scenes are where the camera rests on talking heads who are speaking about the topic at hand.
This Canadian made film feels authentic and I love...

There’s a reverence for John F. Kennedy that sits deep in the American psyche. It’s commonly said that JFK’s assassination in 1963 signaled the end of American innocence, while his administration has come to be seen, by some, as a modern-day Camelot. But time has a habit of whitewashing history, while it’s human nature to grasp positives tighter than negatives. The Kennedys is an eight-hour miniseries (airing in four parts) that intends to show a different side to America’s First Family, as we see them rise to power while dealing with their personal and professional problems on the world stage. It became a controversial project earlier this year, after original broadcaster The History Channel refused to air it, claiming it wasn’t “historically accurate” enough — an excuse refuted by producer-director Jon Cassar (24), who publicly assured critics every script was checked by a historian for inaccuracies.
