Michael Trucco has been cast as Abby Whelan’s abusive ex-husband on ABC’s hit Washington, D.C. drama Scandal.
Michael Trucco On 'Scandal'
Trucco has landed the part of Charles Putney on Scandal, who beat Abby (Darby Stanchfield) when they were still married years prior, breaking her jaw and a number of ribs, reported Entertainment Weekly. Olivia (Kerry Washington) ultimately took matters into her own hands and attacked him with a tire iron.
As of yet, it hasn’t been revealed exactly what brings Charles to Washington.
Trucco is likely best known for starring as Ensign Samuel Anders on Battlestar Galactica and Justin Patrick in Fairly Legal. He’s also had recurring roles on One Tree Hill, Castle, Young Justice, How I Met Your Mother, Revenge and Criminal Minds. His last starring TV role was in the short-lived Killer Women.

Olivia Pope came back to the White House to help the first daughter bury a sex tape, while Jake lost a battle with Command on Scandal’s “Like Father, Like Daughter.”
The First Daughter's Sex Tape
Jake (Scott Foley) is late for a dinner date with Olivia (Kerry Washington) after narrowly escaping a car bomb planted by Command (aka Rowan), who is now trying to kill him. Liv, trying to create a relationship with Jake, orders take-out for the strange pair, but their dinner is cut short when Liv gets an urgent phone call from Karen Grant, the President’s daughter.
Liv and Quinn (Katie Lowes) manage to get Karen (Mary Mouser) out of the rave party she’s passed out at without any eager attendees getting a photograph or recording a video on their cell phones, and, just as Karen thinks she got out without incident, she gets video text.

There’s a new First Daughter in town. Scandal has tapped Body of Proof’s Mary Mouser to play Karen Grant, who was previously portrayed by Madeline Carroll, EW has learned exclusively.
Carroll first appeared on the ABC political fixer drama during season three as the First Family’s daughter visiting from boarding school. However, the actress could not return in season four due to scheduling issues. Mouser will take up the mantle in an episode slated for October.

Immediately following the shocking shooting on “Scandal” Thursday, the actor who plays President Fitzgerald Grant appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and admitted another shocker: His character is a terrible parent. “We're just like the worst parents ever,” Goldwyn joked after showing a clip (above) from next week's episode, in which two of the President's children appear for the first time on the ABC series. “Our show's been on for three years, and we've never seen our kids.” See photos: ‘Divergent’ Premiere: Shailene Woodley, Theo James and Kate Winslet Dylan Minnette (“Prisoners”) and Madeline Carroll (“Mr. Popper's Penguins”) play Jerry and Karen Grant,...

TVLine reports that the little Grants will appear on the fifteenth episode of the season, which is currently scheduled to air at the end of March. Jerry is described as "quiet, smart and intense," and Karen is "polished, self-assured and older than her years." Meanwhile, baby Teddy is still largely absent, though every once in a while when he pops up he looks a little bit like Pubert, the baby from Addams Family Values.

At 17, not many people can attest to having multiple certified platinum albums, a 3D movie about themselves, and millions of fans screaming their name, but yet again, Bieber has just raised the bar.
According to Terry Lundgren, president and chief executive officer of Macy’s Inc., Justin Bieber‘s Someday fragrance “has now become the biggest celebrity fragrance launch on record.” The mad mob of Bieber fans at Macy’s Herold Square location launch of the fragrance on June 23 may have had something to do with it! Celebrity fragrances are released left and right. Beyonce, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Lopez are just a very miniscule glimpse at the celeb fragrances currently on the market, but it seems that these stars have some serious competition in the form of Justin – and it doesn’t sound like he’s stopping anytime soon.
