Without any surprises, one of the most popular Canadian reality shows is back. For that matter, the Toronto Star revealed yesterday the identity of the competitors for the second season of this show that has been compared to Dancing with the Stars.
Here's the concept of Battle of the Blades: this reality pairs up eight retired NHL players with eight female figure skaters. Each week, each team will have to perform a choreography on Sunday nights live in Toronto. The next day, three team facing elimination will compete. At the end of this result day, the public's choice will be revealed. With that said, the winning team gets to donate $100,000 to a cause of their choice.
For this year, the Toronto Star revealed that participants, among the hockey players, include Theoren Fleury, Kelly Chase, Russ Courtnall, Valeri Bure, P.J. Stock, Patrice Brisebois, Todd Warriner and Georges Laraque.
