Over the course of its 11 seasons and 259 episodes, Married… With Children attracted plenty of famous and soon-to-be-famous guest stars, including Matt LeBlanc, Kathleen Freeman, Pamela Anderson, Milla Jovovich, and Jerry Springer, to name just a few. But one of the most memorable guest-starring appearances came from one of the era’s leading comedians, Sam Kinison, who appeared in an episode as Al Bundy’s guardian angel. Katey Sagal, who starred as Peg Bundy on the show, spoke at a fan event and said that Kinison’s presence on the set was both surprising and unforgettable. Jerry Springer, one of the pioneers of tabloid talk shows, has passed away, leaving a legacy and impact on pop culture never seen before his time. He was as big a pop icon during the ’90s as Stone Cold Steve Austin, and their rule at the top of trash TV is recognized in many forms. For Springer, his legacy shines through his long-running television show, The Jerry Springer Show, and his litany of cameo appearances throughout TV and film. Below, we look back at Springer’s most memorable appearances throughout the ’90s. Which were your favorites? Let us know in the comments below. Married…With Children A hodgepodge of Q-Anon and members of the Manosphere, Al Bundy (Ed O’Neill) creates a men’s rights group called No Ma’am to hijack Springer’s show and make demands — or else they’ll torture him with masculine programming. In his scripted TV debut,...

The classic TV series Married…With Children had a talented cast, including Ted McGinley. The former Happy Days star joined the sitcom in later seasons as Jefferson D’Arcy. But before landing the big role, the actor had a guest appearance on the show.

When "Wayne's World" came out in 1992, it was a hit. Starring Mike Myers as chipper Wayne and Dana Carvey as shy Garth, the movie follows their lives as two music-obsessed young adults with a public-access television show that gets a chance to go big. The film got its start as a popular sketch on "Saturday Night Live" in which Myers and Carvey also starred, and even now, over 30 years after its original release, it still makes our hearts go schwing!
In the film, Wayne and Garth constantly frequent a local donut shop, Stan Mikita's Donuts, where they like to kill time. The place is managed by Glen, an older man with a shady past. Glen, who is played by Ed O'Neill, is an extremely disturbing individual, and even though his donut shop has "excellent munchables," those who eat at Stan Mikita's should definitely be asking some serious questions about him.

His family released a statement on his Facebook page, saying, “It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share with you the news our beloved Larry passed away in his sleep overnight. We are shocked and at a loss for words at the moment. Please remember he loved each and every one of you and wouldn’t want you to cry over his passing. It might feel as though it’s a stretch, but the theory that Jay Pritchett and Al Bundy could be the same person is a fun theory all the same. When one takes a look at it, one could possibly figure that Al might have found a way to finally experience a bit of success that might have led him to lead a double life and possibly get a heads up when one of his family members was coming to the shoe store. Then, he could tell his other family that he had to travel for business, in which case he

Exclusive: Another classic 1990s comedy is making a comeback. An animated revival of Married… with Children headlined by the original series’ stars Katey Sagal, Ed O’Neill, Christina Applegate and David Faustino is being pitched to networks and streamers and is getting strong interest, sources tell Deadline.
The new take on the 1987 Fox sitcom is written by Family Guy executive producer Alex Carter, who serves as showrunner. Sony Pictures Television, which owns and distributes the original series, has been working on the animated project for over a year and closed deals with the quartet of Married… with Children stars before taking it out.
While it is unclear yet where the animated Married… with Children would land, Fox, Hulu and Peacock are considered logical destinations.

Married…With Children is the example of an imperfect and average family dominating the television landscape. Introducing a new era of sitcoms, the longest-lasting live-action show on Fox is about Al Bundy, a former high school football star who must deal with lows in life, which is he’s stuck at a dead-end job as a women’s shoe salesman with a lazy wife, and two kids who aren’t exactly role model citizens. Married… With Children made its debut on April 5, 1987 and has seven Primetime Emmy nominations. Nearly 30 years later, the landscape of television has vastly changed, does the Married…

F is for Family Season 4 is coming soon to Netflix.
The animated sitcom, set in the U.S. suburbs in the 1970s, brandishes adult-themes that render it not quite fit for primetime network television. Yet, its driving force has been its central character, irascible family man and Korean War veteran, Frank Murphy, a La-z-Boy-riding bell-bottom-era bygone generational mouthpiece for the PC-pulverizing rants of comedian Bill Burr; a character who could be described as an animated amalgam of Archie Bunker and Al Bundy.
Burr co-created F is for Family with Michael Price, a writer and co-executive producer on Fox’s The Simpsons and Lego Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles and Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales. Along with the creative duo, the show’s array of executive producers consists of Vince Vaughn, Peter Billingsley, Katie O’Connell, Elisa Todd Ellis, Sidonie Dumas and Christophe Riandee.

Shudder’s upcoming Scare Package is a love-letter to genre obsessions inked in blood by horror-loving filmmakers. Any anthology comes with ups and downs, but thankfully the “ups” here swing bigger than expected. Seven directors submit a collection of meta-spoofy spooks which share a collective heart that is forever in the right place. The bigger the horror fan, the harder the jokes land as recognizable structures or archetypes are roasted over an open flame. Sometimes to a charred, smokey Texas flavor that is worth drool-dribble reactions, other times overdone and burned to a bitter aftertaste that’s easier to forget.
So, let’s talk “package.”
Together, shorts double as old-school bites of horror nostalgia that populate a VHS rental joint owned by the film’s Randy Meeks replicant. As a new employee learns the ropes, titles are “explained” by either “Rad” Chad (Jeremy King), regular horror-bro customer Sam (Byron Brown...

While watching Modern Family over the past ten years, have you ever looked at the opening credits and thought it was so cool that Christopher Lloyd was the executive producer, thinking all the while that it was the lovable Christopher Lloyd from the show Taxi, and the Back to the Future movies? Yeah, me neither. I definitely didn’t just figure out that the producer of Modern Family was a totally different guy. But this Lloyd is no schlub. He has worked on the hit series Modern Family, as well as Frasier, which are two of my favorite shows. And now he and star and patriarch of Modern Family Ed O’Neill are creating a new spy podcast called The Undercovers.
Deadline describes the podcast by saying, “The Undercovers combines the truth about what it’s like to be an undercover agent with the drama of being a covert operative.

Phew! That was quite a ride! Say what you will about “Stranger Things 3,” but it’s not lacking in forward momentum. Quickly edited, densely populated, and bursting with vivid images, Season 3 of The Duffer Brothers’ Netflix original feels like it’s playing in an old arcade, where if X number of seconds pass without a rat exploding or a blob oozing across the floor, it’s game over.

Worst dads on tv and film
Homer Simpson, “The Simpsons”
Homer Simpson is TV’s most famous dad but not exactly a role model. He may be good at heart but some of his favorite past times include drinking, laying on the couch, and strangling his son Bart whenever he gets out of line.
Daniel Plaineview, “There Will Be Blood”
Daniel Plainview (Daniel Day-Lewis) says it straight out, “he’s an oilman”; he puts family second behind his own greed. That becomes abundantly clear as his relationship deteriorates with his adopted son throughout the movie.
Al Bundy, “Married With Children”
Ed O’Neill was a very different kind of family man on “Married With Children” than he is now on “Modern Family.” Al’s cynical outlook on life has a hard time not having an effect on his kids.
Frank Gallagher, “Shameless“
Frank Gallagher (William H. Macy) is a drunk,...

Indeed, we understand Joe and Anthony Russo drafted up an iron-clad kill list early on in production, and while the directors have largely kept a lid on spoilers, some believe a character’s fate can be determined by their respective Marvel deal.

Aside from constant airings around Christmas, It's A Wonderful Life often appears in other movies and TV shows.
Thanks to the long-standing tradition of airing Frank Capra’s 1946 festive fantasy drama every December, It’s A Wonderful Life has become a popular culture touchstone, and for many, re-watching the film is a Christmas tradition. The film’s story of a small town family man facing financial ruin being coaxed back from suicide by an angel who shows him how important he is to the world is now as festive as overspending and overeating.
Its ubiquity means that It’s A Wonderful Life is one of the first ports of call when shows and movies want to inject a festive feel into their fictional worlds, hence it having been subject to more on-screen references, quotes, parodies and homages than you can shake a jingle bell at.
