"He isn't a stranger to himself anymore, he can see inside himself." Strand Releasing has unveiled a new US trailer for an indie drama titled Minyan, which originally premiered at last year's Berlin Film Festival. It also played at Outfest last year, and stopped by the New York Jewish Film Festival earlier this year. The film stars Samuel H. Levine as a young Russian Jewish immigrant caught between thrilling private trysts and his repressive family. Set in 1980s Brooklyn, he develops a close friendship with his grandfather's neighbors, two elderly closeted gay men who open his imagination to the possibilities of love and the realities of loss–and explores the East Village where he finds a world teeming with the energy of youth, desire, and risk. The cast includes Ron Rifkin, Christopher McCann, Chris Perfetti, Elizabeth Loyacano, and Zuzanna Szadkowski. Looks like a distinct coming-of-age film with intense passion carefully worked into the story.

The stars of the new “Gossip Girl” have revealed their favorite moments from the original series, which ran for six seasons on the CW before coming to an end in 2012. Whitney Peak, who plays Zola, said the storyline where Chuck (Ed Westwick) tries to drop his identity by briefly becoming Henry Prince was one of the funnier parts of the series.
“I thought that whole Chuck personality identity crisis thing was hilarious, like when he goes to Paris and gets mugged,” Peak said. “He gets shot and then he just decides to just throw away his life and he doesn’t want to be Chuck Bass.”
Evan Mock, who plays Aki, laughed while remembering how Serena (Blake Lively) threw her phone away in the trash during the second episode of the show after a fight with Blair (Leighton Meester). Executive producer Joshua Safran, on the other hand, said one of...

The series, to be released on an as-yet-unannounced platform, begins filming this month in New York City and New York’s Hudson Valley.
Written by Bedlam artistic director Eric Tucker and Musa Gurnis and directed by Tucker, the series will combine characters and plots from King Lear, The Merry Wives of Windsor, The Merchant of Venice and other plays in an all-new story.

Zuzanna Szadkowski, who played Blair Waldorf's Polish housekeeper and confidante Dorota in the original Gossip Girl series, is just as underwhelmed as you are about the true identity of Gossip Girl. Fans long suspected the character was the narrator and gossip blogger, a theory disproved on the CW series finale, which aired in December 2012 after six seasons. It was announced last week that HBO Max, the new streaming destination from WarnerMedia, is rebooting Gossip Girl with a new main cast. Szadkowski, a Polish-born American who unlike her character, sports an American accent, read some fans' tweets for E! News and shared some thoughts on Gossip Girl, then and now. "Can we all...

Whether you like them or not, Lena Dunham and company are currently prepping for the upcoming fourth season of their HBO comedy series Girls. Today, the network released the first teaser for the season, which will arrive next year, though fans will likely be a little disappointed with the dearth of footage.
Essentially, the clip just shows creator/actor/writer/director Dunham, possibly in character as Hannah Horvath, riding her bike and taking a bit of a tumble. Because even though Hannah takes risks and ventures out into the world, it wouldn’t be Girls if she didn’t crash and burn every so often.
Honestly, the clip is more of a reminder to viewers that Girls is still kicking than anything else. It’s also slightly dishonest – production on the fourth season officially wrapped last week, so the show is actually in post-production right now.

Suffering through the condition, Bill resorts to a new, yet dangerous technology that has serious mind-altering side affects.

When The CW's teen drama Gossip Girl leapt onto television screens in 2007, it served the purpose indicated by its title. Simply put, it made millions of girls gossip. The chief, but not sole, demographic was high school females, who buzzed about the "scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite." The program, based on a Cecily von Ziegesar's bestselling book series of the same name, revolved around the privileged prep school students on the Upper East Side, and the titular character -- an omniscient, anonymous blogger who chronicles their very public lives. The show's stars -- notably Blake Lively -- skyrocketed to fame.
Now in its sixth and final season, Gossip Girl has, most would admit, fallen from grace. While it was never a lauded Emmy-winning series, even devoted fans note the superiority of the scandal depicted in the first two seasons, when the characters were in their final years of private high school.

After six years of backstabbing, gossiping & betrayal, 'Gossip Girl' will come to an end in a two-hour finale Dec. 17. And we'll finally get an answer to the series' big question: Who is Gossip Girl? We are edging ever closer to the end of Gossip Girl, and on Dec. 17, Manhattan's elite will close their doors to us forever. We know that Kristen Bell is the voice of Gossip Girl, but which one of our favorite Upper East Siders is the face behind the menacing blog? Read on for my top five guesses. 1. Dorota It's so obvious! Like Gunther on Friends or Rosario on Will & Grace, Dorota (Zuzanna Szadkowski) is the recurring background character who often steals the show. Blair's faithful maid is always waiting in the wings, and because she is not part of the main gang, she observes much more than they realize. Plus, no one would suspect her; its the perfect crime!

With the Gossip Girl computer returned to its rightful owner, chaos is about to rain down on the Upper East Side. And the first victim of this new order appears to be Queen B herself, Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester).
In a preview clip of the "Gossip Girl" season finale, we learn that, due to Serena's carelessness, pages of Blair's diary have been acquired by the gossip maven. Once these pages are posted online, this immediately wreaks havoc for Blair, not only in her relationship with Serena (Blake Lively) but with her new love Dan (Penn Badgley).
"You better find a way to stop this before I lose everyone I ever cared about," she warns Serena. After this, Blair goes into damage control mode with the help of Dorota (Zuzanna Szadkowski).
This may just be leading up to a heck of a season cliffhanger.
Uh oh. Uh oh.

Tonight on Gossip Girl: Friendship and Romance are Tested
The big moment of last week's Valentine's Day episode of Gossip Girl is one that divided fans and co-creator Josh Schwartz summed this up perfectly on his Twitter "According to gossip girl fans last night was the best/worst and they can't wait for next wk/will never watch again. Got it!" This reaction is indicative of how fans of either 'Chair' or 'Dair' are feeling with this story development and it will be intriguing to see where they will go from here.
There are complications not just because it would seem that Blair (Leighton Meester) has feelings for both Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Dan (Penn Badgley), but because Serena (Blake Lively) has also recently declared her love for her ex-boyfriend Dan. This creates tension between best friends Serena and Blair, especially as Serena walked in on the big Blair and Dan kiss last week.

It looks like our Upper East Siders are maturing just a little. But how long will it last?
In a sneak preview video of Monday's (Feb. 20) "Gossip Girl," we find out that Serena (Blake Lively) is more than a little peeved at Blair (Leighton Meester) for smooching with Dan (Penn Badgley). While this normally would result in a knockdown, drag out fight, the ladies are acting ladylike, whether they want to or not.
But It doesn't start pretty as the two engage in verbal jousting.
"Why would I ever kiss Humphrey?" Blair asks.
Serena, who is still hung up on Lonely Boy, responds, "So that's your excuse? Multiple personality disorder. Or did an alien take over your body?"
Dorota (Zuzanna Szadkowski), the only one on the show with common sense, decides to lock the two in the room until they can come to some sort of agreement.

Tonight on Gossip Girl: Blair Tries to Understand Chuck's New Good Side (Sneak Peeks)
At the end of last week's Gossip Girl, Blair (Leighton Meester) realized that Chuck's (Ed Westwick) good guy act wasn't an act after all. In tonight's episode she tries to figure out the key to this change, as she wants to save Louis (Hugo Becker) from the bad guy that he has become. We will also see the return of the Rhodes matriarch Cece (Caroline Lagerfelt) who is having a Studio 54 party being thrown in her honor. This is sure to bring out some fabulous fashion and disturb some deep and dark secrets that one Rhodes women (who isn't really a Rhodes woman) is trying to keep hidden.
Blair is determined to find the key to Louis' virtue that he possessed when she first met him and has since disappeared since his time on the Upper East Side.

And now the excitement really begins.
When "Gossip Girl" returns Monday (Oct. 4), word slowly leaks out that there's not one but two pregnancies.
In a preview video, Blair (Leighton Meester) confides in Dorota (Zuzanna Szadkowski) and likewise. But how long can Blair keep the news out of the hands of mysterious "Gossip Girl" and her legions of followers?
To make matters worse for Blair, her future sister-in-law is now in town. It's pretty clear that these two won't see eye-to-eye on much. Plus it would be a downer if they did.
We also find out that Serena (Blake Lively) isn't going back to school in New York quite yet as she continues to give Hollywood a bit of a go.
Then there's Diana Paine (Elizabeth Hurley) who is starting to line up the pieces to get whatever she wants. And the seemingly malleable Nate (Chace Crawford) looks like he's completely unaware that he's being played.

"Gossip Girl" kicked off its fifth season Monday (Sept. 26) with more dirt than ever.
Much of the crew has relocated, albeit temporarily, to the Left Coast. But that hasn't slowed them down at all. They're still up to their scandal- and intrigue-filled ways.
Here's a recap of what you missed, if you missed it.
[Major Spoiler Alerts]
Blair and Louis: Well, the cat is out of the bag and Blair (Leighton Meester) has a bun in the oven. The only question is, "Who's the father?" According to Ep Josh Safran viewers will find the answer some time during the first half of the season. And while the future princess attempts to keep this news a secret, Safran adds, "Blair will try to hold on as best as she can alone, and find that's not possible." If that isn't enough for the happy couple, there's the ongoing conflict between Blair and her future mother-in-law.

So, the Dair vs. Chair argument has been put to bed (or, rather, left dry-Humphry-ing out of bed) on Gossip Girl. Dan (Penn Badgley) kissed a girl, Ms. Blair (Leighton Meester) and he liked it. Blair, however, did not.
“Why kiss anymore toads?” – Blair
“Dan more Labrador than toad.” – Dorota (Zuzanna Szadkowski)
Blair’s eyes were once again opened to Mr. Chuck (Ed Westwick). I’ll admit it. I wanted to see a Blair and Dan fling. Personally, I’m tired of Chair. There is no doubt that the couple has chemistry. The unbridled sexual frustration the Blair and Chuck exhibit towards each other has kept fans and myself watching for four seasons straight. But, times must and always do change. The truth is, I’ve come to loathe Chuck’s abusive nature. Seeing Blair remiss from moving on has been painful to watch. She’s grown up; Chuck has not.

When Zap2it spoke with "Gossip Girl" executive producers Josh Safran and Stephanie Savage earlier this week, we asked them a question that seems to be on a lot of fans' minds: When will Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) be redeemed?
"Redeeming Chuck... that's a term that I've seen on Twitter. There's a big redeem Chuck and Blair and redeem Chuck Bass tweet thing. My thing is, and I know Stephanie believes this and Josh [Schwartz] believes this as well, the drama from shows comes out of characters doing things necessarily that aren't always right," Safran explained. "It was always the thing about "Sex and the City" and Carrie always made mistakes constantly and you understand it because that's what life is. We all make mistakes. No one goes through perfectly. I don't think that Chuck necessarily needs to be redeemed so much as he actually needs to find his way, which is different.

Her small screen pals, Blake Lively and Chace Crawford, have already returned to filming and they've welcomed a new cast member, Tika Sumpter, to their crowd. Leighton's back to work on the series after taking a break to promote her other project, Country Strong, with a stop by The Tonight Show and an appearance at the People's Choice Awards. Blair (Leighton Meester) sets her sights on becoming the new face of Anne Archibald’s (guest star Francie Swift) foundation for girls, but Anne is concerned that Blair’s friendship with Chuck Bass may be problematic. Katie Cassidy guest stars as Juliet.

Zuzanna Szadkowski had always imagined a certain career path for herself: character parts, lots of theater, very little television. "I thought I was a theater actor and TV was for, like, 20-year-old girls who are blond and size 2," she says, chuckling. "I didn't think that was a place where I would find employment."All that changed when Szadkowski met teacher-director Sam Weisman, who was brought in to helm one of her Mfa classes at Harvard University's American Repertory Theater Institute. "He was very different from the other faculty we had," she recalls. "He has almost like X-ray vision: He can see the way that you work, and he can talk to you and make changes in your process in a very precise way. It resonated with me because he helps you see how you're perceived, gets you out of your head, and gives you direct advice."Some of the advice...

Stars of The CW programs turned up at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, May 20 for the network's upfront presentation. Among other networks, The CW has fewer new series in the 2010/11 season, thus there's less new faces spotted in the crowd.
The familiar ones are Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, the stars of "The Vampire Diaries" which is the network's best child currently. Also coming in a pack are the cast of "Life Unexpected" such as Austin Basis, Kerr Smith, Shiri Appleby and Kristoffer Polaha. Over in the "Gossip Girl" camp there are Chace Crawford, Connor Paolo and Zuzanna Szadkowski.
"One Tree Hill" has Robert Buckley and Robbie Jones, the latter who is also starring in new series "Hellcats". AnnaLynne McCord and Gillian Zinser came in support of "90210" while Jay Manuel came solo for "America's Next Top Model".

The whole business with Serena's dad felt kind of anti-climactic, didn't it? Or is it just me? He wasn't really evil or nasty, he just fell in love with his ex-wife and wanted to break her and Rufus up. Okay, whatever, dude. Little bit lame, but whatever.
More importantly, I think that Jenny is due for a serious ass-kicking, because she's behaving like an annoying brat (and has been for a long time). Throw in a little Georgina, who's returning to town with either a horrible wig or a bad dye job, and you've got the season finale of Gossip Girl, which will be airing on May 17. The CW has released a promo and two sneak peeks, which you can see below.
