The chaotic adventures of Joker’s psychopathic girlfriend and partner in crime, Harley Quinn are set to come out soon, as the DC animated black comedy superhero show’s Season 4 is marked for a July release.
The last season of ‘Harley Quinn’ began going deeper into her newly branded romantic relationship with Poison Ivy. When the season ended, Harley joined the Bat-Family while Ivy was poised to lead the Legion of Doom. In a funny twist, Batgirl is now the head of the Bat-Family as Bruce Wayne ended up being arrested for tax evasion.
Talking about the upcoming season and Harley’s new heroic role in the show with TVLine, showrunner Justin Halpern said, quoted by Collider: “Things are so binary in the superhero world. Like, there’s a bad guy, there’s a good guy, and the feeling you have to be one of those things. There’s also the idea of,...

Woe betide anyone who stumbles across the Harley Quinn Valentine’s Day Special without any prior knowledge of the animated TV series, because it’s safe to say they’d be in for something of a shock. Created by DC animation veterans Paul Dini and Bruce Timm, and written and exec-produced by Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey, the show specialises in a raunchy, adult-themed and decidedly sweary take on the familiar DC Comics characters, and the Valentine’s Special pushes those limits to even further extremes.

“Harley Quinn” Season 3 just launched on HBO Max, and it appears fans won’t have to worry too much about the longevity of Harley and Ivy’s relationship. The two villains romantically linked up in the Season 2 finale of the animated comic book series, much to the delight of fans. Showrunners Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker recently confirmed to the Av Club that Harley and Ivy are in for the long haul. The duo have no intentions to ever break up the couple.
“We still have the occasional fan reaction of ‘I don’t like Harley and Ivy together. She should get back with the Joker,’ which we’re never going to do,” Schumacker said. “Harley and Ivy will never break up in the series as long as we have a say. That’s something that we never want to touch again.”

Harley Quinn reverts back to her (and the show's) worst tendencies in "The Final Joke."
This Harley Quinn review contains spoilers.
Harley Quinn Episode 13
There really couldn't have been a more appropriate title for the final episode of Harley Quinn. After three months of solid humor, violence, and appropriately foul-mouthed jokes, the season came to a rather disappointing end as Harley Quinn (temporarily) fridged Poison Ivy, killing off one of the best parts of the animated adult series as well as cutting off any potential closure around the relationship at the heart of the show at the proverbial roots.
Since the very first episode, Harley (Kaley Cuoco) and Ivy (Lake Bell) have been the best thing about the DC Universe series. That's not a bias but simply because it was built into the core of what the show was about: Harley emancipating herself from the Joker (Alan Tudyk...

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Veep” Season 7, Episode 7, “Veep” — the series finale.]
In the end, President Selina Meyer did the impossible. It wasn’t that the power-hungry politician managed to recapture the White House (for one unsuccessful term), but how she managed to wreak more havoc than Drogon in doing so. In the final season, Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ ex-vp showed her true colors, eviscerating everything and everyone around her; just when it felt like even Selina wouldn’t stoop that low, she found a new bottom — again and again again… until Gary.
Poignant yet unflinching, hilarious and heartbreaking, the series finale of “Veep,” written and directed by David Mandel, sees Armando Iannucci’s original intent through to the bitter end: The American political system is a bloody mess made bloodier by the self-serving “public servants” at its center. Years of roasting them over a spit has only appeared to make them stronger, but the intent of such vicious satire is change rather than...

In what is purely coincidental timing, Anna Chlumsky is on the phone with Et to discuss Veep as former FBI director James Comey is testifying before the U.S. Senate Intelligence Committee. In the days leading up to it and as it was happening, the testimony was covered with the kind of fanfare that seemed more likely to happen on the HBO political comedy than in real life. But there it was, #ComeyDay, happening as we spoke.

"So, what are we supposed to do now?" Gravitas Ventures has released the trailer for an indie comedy titled Brave New Jersey, from filmmaker Jody Lambert. The film tells the true story of a small town in New Jersey that freaked out during Orson Welles' legendary 1938 "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast, believing it was real. They decided to make this a comedy, which may work better in the end since playing this serious would be a whole other thing. Brave New Jersey features an ensemble cast including Tony Hale, Heather Burns, Anna Camp, Sam Jaeger, Raymond J. Barry, Dan Bakkedahl, Mel Rodriguez, Grace Kaufman, Matt Oberg, and Erika Alexander. This looks totally goofy but still heartfelt and fun. Enjoy. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Jody Lambert's Brave New Jersey, direct from YouTube: "An alien invasion comedy where the aliens never show up." Brave New Jersey is...

Welcome to Lullaby, NJ, population 506, the fictional town at the center of Jody Lambert’s delightful comedy Brave New Jersey “where strangers are friends and no one is a stranger.” Home of the Rotolactor, a robotic milking machine, the central New Jersey town is only a few hours from Grover’s Mills, the “epicenter” of the great October 1938 martian invasion chronicled in Orson Welles’ legendary War of the Worlds broadcast. Depicting this evening of misconstrued alien invasion, Lambert’s comedy is far more modest affair than the Tom Cruise film as Lullaby comes together for the biggest night in its history.
Reluctantly led by mayor Clark Hill (a restrained Tony Hale) who cautions against panic, he’s overruled by old Captain Collins (Raymond J. Barry), who is quick to formulate a plan based on his time in War War I. The do-or-die night also gives characters a chance at reflecting on their own lives,...
