One of horror cinema's most notorious antagonists has been let loose from the Sawyer household to terrorize collectors' shelves. Now available to pre-order, Sideshow Collectibles' impeccably detailed Leatherface Premium Format Figure is displayed in a batch of new photos.
From Sideshow Collectibles: "He's got some family issues.
The meat business is pretty good, unless you're actually the meat. It's safe to say that we're not entirely sure which is the worst fate if you're the victim of Leatherface - you might become barbecue, could become chili, or you just might end up becoming a mask for a deranged chainsaw-wielding killer.
Sideshow's collection of classic horror villains grows by one with the introduction of the Leatherface Premium Format™ Figure. Capturing the deranged killer's likeness in horrifying detail, this statue looks as if it ready to lunge off of its base - which is adorned with the portraits of Leatherface's victims.

Here's a fun piece of Batman fan art created by concept artist Alex Tuis (Dark Shadows) that gives us a look at what actor Benedict Cumberbatch might look like as The Joker. Cumberbatch would definitely make for an interesting choice to play the Joker, but even though I think he makes an amazing villain, I don't think this villain would be a good fit.

"We cross and re-cross our old paths like figure-skaters." Whoa! Even a year later, I am still preaching high praise for Tom Tykwer & The Wachowskis' Cloud Atlas, which I've watched multiple times on Blu-Ray since it was released. The film is slowly earning a cult following and the best part of that kind of following means that we're starting to see some incredible artwork for the film. Earlier this summer I bought a Cloud Atlas print by Alex Tuis from Bottleneck, one of the first prints I've ever seen for this movie. Now one of our favorite artists, Paul Shipper, has created a nice trilogy of posters for an upcoming Hero Complex Gallery show. Beyond the Marquee posted the gorgeous prints online for our viewing pleasure. See all three below. "The Pacific Journal of Adam Ewing" "Half-Lives: The First Luisa Rey Mystery" "The Revelation of Sonmi-451" Thanks again to Beyond...

Last fall, Shock Till You Drop was very fortunate to have exclusively presented some concept art from the Hellraiser remake in development at Dimension Films. What we shared were designs from the Patrick Lussier/Todd Farmer (Drive Angry) pitch with art stemming from FX artist Gary Tunnicliffe's team.
Later, even more designs were revealed, this time from Alex Tuis. Now, more artists are unleashing their Hellraiser-themed pieces onto the Internet, including Paul Gerrard (Battle: Los Angeles).
Where the previously released concept designs revealed "what could have been" - as they were connect to pitches that Dimension ultimately did not roll with - Gerrard's art gives us a peek at "what could be." You see, he aligned himself with filmmaker Mike Le Han to cook up a teaser trailer they will submit to Dimension Films in an effort to score the Hellraiser remake gig. Whether they get the job or not remains to be seen.

Artist Alex Tuis has designed some sweet art that reimagines a number of famous actors as Marvel superheroes. Here is a description from his Blog:
I had always dreamed that one day we could see a Marvel Super Hero movie.
Now we have the Spider-Man movies, the X-Men movies, Thor and now the Avengers. But they don't have my dream cast.
I hope you will enjoy this original take on these famous characters.
My personal favorites are Rutger Hauer as Thor and Bruce Lee as Spidey. Check out the images below thanks to Cbm.

Artist Alex Tuis put together several pieces of art of his favorite Marvel characters. The only difference is that Robert Downey Jr is no longer Iron Man, and Andrew Garfield is not Spider-Man. Tuis replaced the actors with ones that he would like to see in the roles. He wrote: "I had always dreamed that one day we could see a Marvel Superhero movie. I love these. Alex Tuis has put together these great portraits depicting various actors as Marvel characters. How can you argue with a younger Keitel and Hauer as Wolverine and Thor? I must admit I have no idea who Guy Williams is though! Let us await the inevitable "but Spider-Man is not Asian!".. From Tuis' Blog.. If superhero films were as popular 30 years ago as they are today, perhaps some of these fantasy casting concept sketches would've actually come true. Alas, that's not to be the case, but we can still have fun with them. Courtesy of French artist/creature designer Alexandre Tuis (who's done some concept art work on the upcoming Tim Burton movie Dark Shadows) comes these images of legendary actors dressed up as your favorite superheroes. Harvey Keitel as Wolverine? Definitely. Bruce Lee as Spider-Man? We would've loved to see that happen. Joe Pesci as the Penguin? It's not on there, but it just feels right. Right? Check out the images below, and more over at Movieline. Also see Tuis' site for additional sketches.

If we got hold of a time machine, would we go back and kill Hitler, ride a dinosaur, or have brunch with Jesus?
No, in true movie geek fashion we would fan cast our favorite actors as Marvel superheroes, which is coincidentally what French concept artist/creature designer Alexandre Tuis has done.
Saving us the hassle of powering the Flux Capacitor in our DeLorean, Tuis has revealed several of his retrofit designs (via Movieline) that dream cast such badass icons as the late Bruce Lee in Spider-Man mode, Dutch movie god Rutger Hauer as The Mighty Thor, and, perhaps most enticingly, Harvey Keitel as a Japan-era Wolverine.
Tuis, whose own resume includes work on upcoming blockbusters like "Silent Hill 3-D" and Tim Burton's "Dark Shadows," clearly has a lot of affection for the Marvel universe. The "what if?" itch drove him in fleshing out these photo-real renderings, which also...

Around the time we learned Dimension's Hellraiser remake was losing steam, we exclusively brought you a look at how some of the Cenobites might have looked in the film.
Today, I swung by the website of one of my favorite concept artists, Alex Tuis, and he had posted his own take on Pinhead, which I thought was worth sharing here. Now, I have no clue if these were commissioned for Dimension at one point or if the pieces were done independently and on Alex's own time to use as a calling card.
Check out more of Alex's stuff right here. Great stuff awaits including his take on the Hulk and a series of Blade Runner pieces where it appears as if Michael Fassbender was the artist's inspiration for a new Deckard.

Earlier this month we told you about Fever , a new film in the works with Catriona MacColl. Today, we were provided a piece of concept art, by Alex Tuis, for Romain Basset's film. Tuis' credits include Dark Shadows , Silent Hill: Revelation and Blood: The Last Vampire . The horse-headed freak you see below is said to be the "bogeyman" of the tale. Says a press release: Although it stays away from the more traditional slasher-esque scenery, HorseHead accounts for a true devilish boogeyman, one of the dark entities that frequent Jessica's nightmares. Click here for more details on the film!

We've been fans of up-and-coming artist Alexandre Tuis for a while, so we jumped at the chance to speak with him about his work and share exclusive concept art from his latest project, the live-action manga adaptation Blood: The Last Vampire, which is out already in the UK and debuts stateside July 10. Tuis also graciously shared additional original art from his personal collection of pop culture-based work (including his rendering of Doug Jones as Frankenstein, created in honor of Guillermo del Toro's potential film adaptation) and concept art from films such as Dragonball: Evolution and Xavier Gens' horror film,...
