Gordon Ramsay’s hit reality TV show “MasterChef” was given the spin-off treatment in 2013 when an all-kids version, dubbed “MasterChef Junior,” debuted on the Fox network. Young chefs with a dream of cooking for a living were allowed to compete on the reality TV show as long as they were between the eligible ages of 8-13. The first-ever champion was Alexander Weiss (age 13), who beat out a dozen others to claim the trophy and the $100,000 cash prize. He along with other judges Tilly Ramsay, Aarón Sánchez, and Daphne Oz had the difficult job of choosing who walked away with the $100,000 prize, all the accoutrements for a dream kitchen, coveted trophy, and the title of MasterChef Junior. After deliberation the panel of pros chose McGlynn! The now 12-year-old grillmaster from Opelika, Alabama brought the wow factor to his marinated red...

Turns out Gordon Ramsay’s almost as critical of his own family’s cooking as he is with the people on his reality television shows—but there’s less cursing involved. At least, we hope so.
His daughter revealed as much on a morning talk show appearance promoting her first cookbook, Tilly’s Kitchen Takeover. Tilly first displayed her cooking expertise on Gordon Ramsay’s Ultimate Home Cooking, and later hosted her very own cooking show, Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch, for BBC’s children channel. Real comedy still happens on late night, we can prove it. If you like Conan comedy gold, Fallon friendliness, cutesy Corden, kneedy Kimmel, and all the rest, I hope you’ll enjoy this column too.
The muddled on-again off-again summer schedule of late night shows continues, and last week Kimmel sat out again. There was still a lot to talk about, though. First, Jon Stewart, intrepid and incredible host of The Daily Show for sixteen years, retired. We’ll take a look at some of the interesting content The Daily Show has made for his exit. Other than that, John Oliver delivered an incisive and pointed report on sexual education in Us schools, Don Rickles told Jimmy what’s what, and Conan had a lark with a TV-ma rating. Plus, more from the already-amazing The Late Show with (starring) Stephen Colbert.
