We weren't sure this series would ever see the light of day, but NBC has finally set an air date for its sitcom "Friends With Benefits." Perhaps unfortunately timed given the highly publicized upcoming film of the same name, the series is set to begin airing with back-to-back episodes on Saturday, June 25.
If the network's lack of confidence in the series wasn't made obvious by its delayed premiere (it was supposed to launch midseason), the Saturday night time slot and back-to-back "burn-off" airing schedule speaks volumes. 13 episodes will air.
Starring "One Tree Hill's" Danneel Ackles, (formerly Danneel Harris) and Ryan Hansen of "Party Down" and "Veronica Mars" fame, the show follows a group of friends as they navigate the treacherous modern dating world.
Ackles plays Sara Maxwell, a successful doctor who eases sexual frustration with her best friend, Ben (Hansen), while she searches for "the one" rom-com style.
Also starring are Jessica Lucas,...
