Last night Dread Central was invited to the infamous Linda Vista Hospital in Los Angeles for a special haunted tour as well as to be amongst the first to view the highly anticipated trailer for Insidious Chapter 2.
Before the trailer was screened and director James Wan took to the Internet stage to answer some fan questions, we had the opportunity to explore the reportedly haunted hospital on a tour led by the Boyle Heights Paranormal Project, an organization that specializes in extensive investigations of Linda Vista as well as detailed tours for the brave souls out there who dare to enter the facility.
For those not familiar with Linda Vista, it’s an abandoned hospital that has been the shooting location of many horror films, most notably being one of the boiler room sets used in the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, and the upcoming Insidious Chapter 2.

The famed horror team of director James Wan and writer Leigh Whannell reunite with the original cast of Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, and Ty Simpkins in Insidious Chapter 2, a terrifying sequel to the acclaimed horror film, which follows the haunted Lambert family as they seek to uncover the mysterious childhood secret that has left them dangerously connected to the spirit world.
Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions is producing (with Alliance financing). FilmDistrict will distribute the film theatrically in the United States, with Sony handling the majority of domestic ancillary rights.

Our favorite Canadian film collective, the mighty Astron-6, is on the move!Today Astron-6 announced the IndieGoGo crowd-sourcing campaign for their upcoming film, The Editor. Back in February it was announced that Astro-6 had won a Telefilm Canada grant to assist with production on The Editor, a film that has been in the works for a while. However, now that they've begun, they realize that it's time to step up their game and make a real goddamned movie. In the service of that goal, they've begun an incredibly modest IndieGoGo campaign to supplement their production on the film.In their pitch video, Astron-6 performers/writers Adam Brooks and Matt Kennedy state that they'd already begun shooting The Editor, but have realized that now with the added (well-earned) attention...
