I don’t do this too often, but I feel this is a for a good cause and needs to be seen by the masses. Director Greg Sucharew and producer Felicia Jamieson have embarked on an incredible journey to Nicaragua where they helped the small city of Rivas regain itself after years of war and poverty tore the town apart.
Thanks to the non-profit charity Pedals for Progress, over 20,000 bicycles have been given to the people of Rivas in the last 20 years. The bicycles have successfully helped people with their everyday lives and helped them make a better living for themselves. The film, The Bicycle City, is currently in need of donations to help it get past the post-production stage. Check out the trailer and more information on the film after the jump.
