Inspired by U.S. teen dramas such as “Gossip Girl,” “Made in Chelsea” was originally conceived in 2011 as a reality TV series chronicling the lives of wealthy 20-somethings in one of London’s most upmarket districts.
Ten years and 22 seasons later, the show — which airs on Channel 4’s digital channel E4 in the U.K. and on streamer hayu in the U.S. — has acquired soap status among audiences young and old, who still tune in to watch cast-members (many of whom are now 30-somethings) as they grapple with not only make-ups and break-ups but also weddings, childbirth and even death.
“The show started off being about dating and friendship — that is its foundation — but it’s about a whole lot more now basically,” says David Granger, an executive producer on “Made in Chelsea” and co-founder of Monkey Kingdom, which makes the show.

Last Week’S Review: Review: ‘Outlander’ Says a ‘Hail Mary’ and Prepares for the End
That’s What She Said
After spending much of the back half of the season on the Jacobite rebellion and the upcoming Culloden battle, this week’s finale surpassed it all by bringing viewers into the far future – 1968, to be exact. There we picked up with the Reverend’s funeral, which new character Roger oversaw just as an aged Claire and her grown-up daughter Brianna entered the scene. Rather than focus on the present, the remainder of the episode jumped back and forth from there to that fateful day in 1746, when Prince Charles commanded all of his men to death. Although it felt like a cheat to not see the actual battle go down, that is how Claire experienced it, and given that this is the story of her journey, piecing history together through artifacts...

The 27-year-old reality TV star, who joined the show late as a contestant on Tuesday night (17.11.15), left the jungle ''on medical grounds'' just three days later and Lauren Hutton took to Twitter to hit out at him. She wrote: ''Well that lasted long ... Even your relationships last longer (just). I think I'd make a better contestant (sic).'' Spencer's furious friend Jamie Laing hit back saying: ''F**k off you leaching random.'' Lauren - who dated Spencer for a year before they split up in September...

Made in Chelsea star Jess Woodley has admitted that she's disappointed that Jamie Laing said he wished he could sack her from the show.
The duo finally called an end to their will-they-won't-they relationship on Monday's episode and Jamie later admitted that it "really sucked" that he had to keep filming with her.
"I don't have the power to [get her fired from Made in Chelsea] but I wish I did!" he joked.
But the comments didn't go down too well with Jess, who told Ok! Online that she was disappointed to hear what he'd said.
"Wow, that's really spiteful of him," she said. "We fell out really bad. I guess he didn't get his way but, you know, there wasn't much I could do."
She added: "It's a shame he would feel that way. I have nothing but love for him."
Made in Chelsea continues on Mondays at 9pm on E4.

The Made in Chelsea La summer spin-off saw heartbreak for Binky, a love triangle for Jamie, and a long-overdue reunion with the blue-hued and totally "crazy" Gabrielle.

Love was in the air on the special Stand Up To Cancer edition of First Dates tonight as Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter found romance on the show.
Jorgie was set up with 31-year-old personal trainer Craig and opened up about her belief that men will leave her because she grew up without her father around.
But there were lighter moments, too, as Jorgie tried to play it cool and the duo giggled about whether or not they fancied each other.
They eventually agreed to meet up again - and are now dating, with Jorgie even taking Craig to the Soap Awards.
Less successful in the First Dates restaurant was Anthea Turner, who said she had a "lovely lunch" with 50-year-old Jeremy but decided he was too well-behaved - and his dislike of brown sauce proved to be a dealbreaker.
Elsewhere, Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing had a shaky start...

Made in Chelsea's Spencer Matthews and Jamie Laing have always had a close relationship, but they've taken it to new levels in 'Undercover Strip'.
In an exclusive In Bed with Jamie Laing clip, the pair are seen cavorting under the covers as they attempt to change clothes.
An unfortunately placed mirror (or should that be conveniently?) gives us the odd cheeky topless view of the pair.
They eventually manage to swap shirts, trousers and - judging by Jamie's comment "There's penis everywhere!" - underwear.
In Bed with Jamie is available to watch on All 4, with the episode featuring the clothes swap going live on Monday.

Made in Chelsea's Fran Newman-Young hits out at Binky Felstead: 'She's been brainwashed by the show'
Former Made in Chelsea star Fran Newman-Young has hit out at Binky Felstead, suggesting that she has been "brainwashed" by the show.
Newman-Young admitted that she was "very angry for a time" about the effect Made in Chelsea had on her friendship with Felstead, Bang Showbiz reports.

Jamie Laing has well and truly revealed his posh credentials, announcing a rather fancy nickname for his, well, you know.

Hosted by Jones, Young, Free & Single is a dating show following six young single people's lives as they live in an apartment in London's East End searching for love.
Throughout the week, each person goes on a date - which is then watched back and analysed by the friends who give their advice.

Tuesday - The Gamechangers, BBC Two at 9pm
Daniel Radcliffe continues his quest to completely lose the Harry Potter tag by starring in this Social Network-style drama about Grand Theft Auto-makers Rockstar. Bill Paxton and Joe Dempsie also appear in the story surrounding the game's violent influence on kids.
Monday - Made in Chelsea: La, E4 at 9pm
After five weeks of squabbling in the sun, the privileged Londoners enjoy one final episode in the Us before heading back to Chelsea. With Binky and Jp's relationship in the balance (savage), Jamie's loyalties being tested (gash) and the wonderfully welcome return of Ollie (yeah, boi!), the finale is bound to be explosive. Please say there'll be a cameo from Spenny too?

Jamie Laing could be stirring trouble when he guests on Young, Free & Single next week.
The Made in Chelsea star may not be warmly greeted by Aj, as Laing has a massive crush on Lana.
Young, Free & Single: How to make the show even more cringeworthy
Laing - also a friend of Laura - will pop into the studio for Monday's (September 14) episode.
Hosted by Steve Jones, Young, Free & Single is a dating show which follows the lives of six young single people living in an apartment in London's East End and seeking love.
Throughout the week, each person will go on a date - but afterwards will watch it back at the same time as viewers, who will then give their own takes on the situation.
Young, Free & Single airs on E4.

This is Brutal ... and also very, very awesome. British reality star Jamie Laing -- one of the stars of "Made In Chelsea" -- got absolutely annihilated during a charity rugby match in London ... all thanks to a former member of the All Blacks. The guy who delivered the blow is Brad Thorn -- who just retired from pro rugby 3 months ago ... but decided to participate in the Rugby Aid charity match. Long story short ... Laing...
