Christian Walker, son of Senate candidate Herschel Walker, tweeted a blistering criticism of his father following his loss Tuesday to Democrat Raphael Warnock in Georgia’s runoff election.
“Don’t beat women, hold guns to peoples heads, fund abortions then pretend your pro-life, stalk cheerleaders, leave your multiple minor children alone to chase more fame, lie, lie, lie, say stupid crap, and make a fool of your family,” Christian wrote. “Then maybe you can win a senate seat.”

The woman who accused Herschel Walker of paying for her abortion in 2009 is now revealing that the Republican senate candidate from Georgia urged her to have a second one.
On Friday, Walker’s ex-girlfriend told New York Times that Walker asked her to terminate her pregnancy in 2011, but she refused, kept the baby, and ended her relationship with Walker. She also claims that Walker has been absent from the child’s life.

Herschel Walker, who has vehemently opposed reproductive rights throughout his senatorial campaign in Georgia, denied he had paid for a woman’s abortion in 2009 and also denied he knew who she was. Thing is, she apparently shares a child with him, according to The Daily Beast who first broke the story on Monday about the abortion payment claim.

Jimmy Kimmel applauded Herschel Walker’s son, Christian Walker, Tuesday for calling out his father’s alleged lies on his “family values” and his ongoing abortion scandal from 2009. The late night host then drew a comparison to Donald Trump’s sons, Eric and Don Jr.
“Eric and Don Jr. are like, ‘Holy crap, you can do that?'” Kimmel joked after playing Christian’s video in which he condemned his father for lying about paying for a girlfriend’s abortion. “Herschel’s like, ‘Oops, I should’ve aborted that one, too.’ It’s gonna be a fun Thanksgiving at the Walker’s.”
Kimmel’s jabbing at the ongoing controversy surrounding the Georgian Senate candidate comes in the wake of the Daily Beast’s report earlier this week that Walker paid for a girlfriend’s abortion in 2009, despite claiming to be pro-life. The evidence was in a 700 check and a get...

Christian Walker, the son of U.S. Senate candidate Herschel Walker, has gone on a tirade accusing his father of several indiscretions including cheating on Christian’s mother and fathering several children outside of his marriage, and even encouraging an ex to get an abortion despite him currently taking a pro-life stance on the campaign trail.
Walker’s social posts came after a bombshell report from The Daily Beast that showed evidence that Walker not only encouraged, but paid for an abortion his ex received back in 2009. After Greg Berlanti and Geoff Johns, few creative types have had as big an influence over the current state of superhero TV than Brian Michael Bendis. Netflix's current line of Marvel Comics shows may as well be called the Bendis Cinematic Universe, since in the comics he co-created Jessica Jones, promoted Luke Cage from Marvel's C-list into the vital character he is today, and wrote one of the definitive modern Daredevil runs. (He also put Iron Fist into the Avengers, though it remains to be seen what comics influences his upcoming Netflix show will draw upon.) He's also co-creator of Powers, a comic about human cops who investigate murders tied to superheroes and villains, and an executive producer of the TV version, which is in the midst of its second season on the PlayStation Network. And during an appearance at the Atx Television Festival earlier this month, Bendis let slip...

PlayStation’s is keeping its Powers. The freshman drama, which is based on Brian Michel Bendis’ comic of the same name, has been renewed for a second season. The Hollywood Reporter was the first to report the renewal news. Powers follows Sharlto Copley’s Christian Walker, a former super-powered individual who now works as a cop in the Powers division of the police force, a special group that deals with crimes involving those that possess extraordinary abilities. The series’ cast also includes Susan Heyward, Noah Taylor, Olesya Rulin, Adam Godley, Max Fowler, Michelle Forbes, and Eddie Izzard. Although Powers was originally developed at FX, the network ultimately decided not move forward with the series. Eventually, Powers ended up at PlayStation and was given a 10-episode straight-to-series order. The show’s entire first season is available for free to PlayStation Plus subscribers; it will return for its second season in 2016. “The...

PlayStation Network jumps into the original programming game by offering a fresh perspective on the nearly oversaturated superhero market. “Powers” is based on a long-running comic book series by writer Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming. While set firmly in the world of spandex-clad heroes and villains, it is not these colorful characters at the center of the stories. Instead, homicide detectives Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim take center stage, as they tackle powers-related crimes. Rather than flying through the air with the superheroes, or witnessing their tussles with super-powered foes up close, we are instead treated to what.

Not sold on the concept of Sony’s foray into live-action television with Powers? Fear not, for the publisher has uploaded the premiere episode of the PlayStation-exclusive series to watch free of charge.
Coming by way of Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming’s eponymous comic book series, the show follows Christian Walker and his partner in superhero crime, Deena Pilgrim (played by Sharlto Copley and Susan Heyward). Specializing in all things out of the ordinary, the pair are tasked with keeping the superpowered denizens of their city in check.
Powers marks the first slice of original television from Sony as the Japanese giant looks to compete with the medium’s heavy-hitters: Netflix, Hulu and the like. To date, the company has greenlit one season of the crime series, though there’s every chance that the show will continue into a sophomore season should viewing figures reflect its appeal.

Sony PlayStation enters the original scripted drama world on Tuesday with the premiere of "Powers."
The story follows Sharlto Copley's Christian Walker, a man who used to have superpowers, but lost them. Somewhat disgruntled with his new place in life (as a regular human), he's now pounding the pavement as a detective, investigating homicides involving people with extraordinary abilities.
"He's working on the police force as a kind of tokenistic face because he was very famous. He was kind of a rock star superpower at the time," Sharlto told Access Hollywood.

Early in Brian Michael Bendis' career in comics, before Marvel gave him the chance to reinvent Spider-Man, Daredevil, the Avengers and the X-Men, he wrote a terrific autobiographical comic called "Fortune and Glory," about his struggles to get his early film noir-style comics adapted into movies. He runs through the usual inside showbiz stories of near-misses and ridiculous studio notes, but is also very open about how much he had to learn about the differences in writing for the page and the screen. (He's embarrassed to realize, for instance, that much of his dialogue is too dense to come out of the mouths of actors and sound natural.) Bendis has been on a much longer and more convoluted journey with "Powers," the comic he and Michael Avon Oeming created about a pair of human homicide detectives in a world overrun by superhumans, and which debuts today as the first...

The PlayStation Original series—adapted from the gritty graphic novel universe created by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, and produced by the studio that brought you Breaking Bad—is based on a compelling premise: what if the world was full of superheroes who aren’t actually heroic at all? Powers, an edgy dramatic series, follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who are assigned to investigate cases involving people with superhuman abilities, referred to as “Powers.” Set amidst today’s paparazzi culture, Powers asks the questions, what if the world was full of superheroes who aren’t actually heroic at all? Eisner-winning comic Powers is making its live action debut via PlayStation Network this evening, but how will it differ to the original?
The first run of the Powers comic, which picked up an Eisner award for best new series back in 2001, was subtitled Who Killed Retro Girl?. It saw detectives Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim team-up for the first of many superhero-based investigations, the murder of Retro Girl. However, the upcoming TV show will be taking a different route.
“Brian [Michael Bendis, who wrote the comic] has said they never expected to do more than a half dozen issues because they didn't think anyone would buy it, so they killed Retro Girl right away,” said the show’s executive producer Charlie Huston.
“The weakness is, you are killing a huge hero in your world, depending on everyone talking about her and telling you how awesome she is to have an impact. […] Then we were like, ‘Why...

Powers, PlayStation's foray into original programming, finally made its debut, with streams now available for the superhero drama's first three episodes (the pilot, gratis). The next seven installments will continue to roll out, one by one, every Tuesday. There's also a new trailer, which sets the gory backdrop of Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming's graphic novel turned TV series: A deadly, super-powered villain has escaped a federal containment facility and an underground, power-enhancing drug dubbed "sway" is all over L.A. streets. It's up to Detective Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley) and his partner to stop those using their powers for ill. Fun!

Sony Pictures Television unveiled a new look at “Powers” on Monday, the upcoming superhero drama debuting exclusively on the PlayStation Network. The action-filled trailer follows two police officers, Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley) and Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward). But this isn’t a typical procedural; this one has a twist. The two homicide detectives are part of the Powers division and are tasked with solving murders committed by the super-powered individuals who populate their world. Sony is gearing up to release their upcoming original PlayStation show, Powers. The show is based upon Brian Michael Bendis/Michael Avon Oeming graphic novel series, which follows a pair of crime solvers; Christian Walker & Deena Pilgrim. Both stars will be Sharlto Copley and Susan Heyward. Their characters will be a group of special detectives who find themselves up against an evil force. You can catch their trailer that they released for it down below.
The show will be right up the alley of current popular shows. I will be interested to see when they choose to release it since it will have a touch of superheros in it. Plus the trailer does a good job at picking at people’s interest enough to where we want to see more of the show and how the story will unfold. They clearly have PR on their side with that amazing trailer.

As a former superhero, Christian Walker (played by Sharlto Copley) has his work cut out dealing with all things supernatural as part of his city’s Powers Division, a no-nonsense force that attempt to establish a sense of equilibrium between the everyday folk and the superhumans that soar across the sky above them.
It’s a conflict that will underpin Walker’s arc throughout the show’s first season, and his inner conflict is alluded to in Sony’s latest clip for the PlayStation-exclusive series. Adapted from Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming’s eponymous comic series, Powers will follow Walker and his partner Deena Pilgrim (Susan Heyward) as they find themselves caught amidst the two factions.
David Slade, the man behind 30 Days of Night, helmed the first two episodes of the company’s fantasy series, which also stars Noah Taylor, Eddie Izzard and Michelle Forbes.

Get your first look at Powers, the TV adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis’ Eisner-winning comic book, here…
As PlayStation Network’s first foray into original TV content, and an adaptation of an Eisner Award winning comic, starring District 9’s Sharlto Copley and comedian Eddie Izzard, Powers comes very highly anticipated here at Den Of Geek Towers.
It’s based on the central concept that Sharlto Copley’s character Christian Walker is a former superhero, now tragically depowered and working as a detective. “This guy, when he had his powers, he was a bit of an ass-hole,” says Copley. “So losing them humbled him, and he’s wondering how would he be if he could get them back? Would he be a better person this time?”
This brand new featurette tells you plenty more, if you’re intrigued…

Sharlto Copley took on the lead role of homicide detective Christian Walker who investigates cases involving superheroes and supervillains in the aptly titled division, Powers.
