But trouble arises when the two pals and a group of friends take a detour on their way to a rock concert, finding an old abandoned barn and awakening the evil inside. Finally, after a wait so long people were wondering if it would ever happen, The Barn Part II, Justin M. Seaman’s sequel to 2016’s The Barn has finally arrived after a run of festival screenings and some limited theatrical showings. The question is, as with any long-delayed sequel, can it recapture what made the original so popular?
It certainly gets off on the right foot as Troop Leader Plums and his scouts sitting around the campfire fill the viewer in on the basic plot of the original as well as a few things we’ll need to know for the sequel, before finding out the hard way the stories were all true.

The Lashman
Written and Directed by Cameron McCasland
Starring Stacey Dixon, Shawn C. Phillips, David Vaughn, Jeremy Jones, and Kaylee Williams
The Lashman has been making it's Festival run for a bit now, and has been getting some love. I will start by saying I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but I know that the slasher film is my favorite sub-genre of horror, so I was excited to get a chance to check it out.
What McCasland, and Co., have constructed here is every bit a love letter to a specific time period in horror history. Films such as “The Town that Dreaded Sundown”, “Texas Chainsaw Massacre”, and “Friday the 13th” all came to mind, while viewing the movie. I have to admit here and now that this is not my favorite time period for horror. So to say that I...

The folks at Bdhr Entertainment are proud to announce that they're about to begin production on their new three-part anthology film entitled Urban Legends. Read on for the details!
Just to be clear, this new movie has no affiliation with any other previous Urban Legend entitled film, lest anyone be confused. However, judging by some of the early promo images, this project certainly looks like it has promise. The three segments are "Deadly Girlfriend", "Dead Man's Bluff" and "Bloody Mary"…combine all three, and it sounds like an average Friday night/Saturday morning for Doctor Gash!
Urban Legends starts filming on July 6th in the state of Virginia. It is written and produced by onetime horror blogger Brandon Sites (Big Daddy Horror Reviews) and is directed by Travis Legge. For more check out the official Bdhr Entertainment website.
Each segment of the film has its own Facebook page as well.

There's just something about a giant killer carrying a huge weapon while wearing a pig's head over his own that sends a shiver down the old spine. That's exactly what we're gonna get and more once Porkchops starts swinging.
Director Eamon Hardiman's Porkchops is actually a sequel to his previous film Porkchop while at the same time being a bit of a "reboot." Kind of like Evil Dead 2.
The film stars Sam Qualiana, Angela Pritchett, Kaylee Williams, Missy Dawn, Shawn C. Phillips and Brian Gunnoe as Burt Fleming along with a host of fresh newcomers to the genre who hopefully will be sliced up in truly heinous ways.
Synopsis
When young Simon Robertson moves with his family to a new town, he thinks the biggest peril will be the local bullies. Unfortunately, Simon's friend Meg informs him that this town has a much darker secret: a body count stretching...

Cory J. Udler is a horror fans director. This indie director makes the movies the fans want to see without giving in to "the suits"pressure. He has Incest Death Squad 1 and 2 that are already out and available and now he's working on his next film Mediatrix that we dive right into and talk about. Check out my latest Versus with director Cory Udler.
Brian S- First off, tell me about Mediatrix.
Cory Udler- Nobody's going to believe me, but it's based on a true story. Our story is about Mary Ann Van Hook, born into a world of false spiritualism, opiated by her mother. She basically parlays her manipulation skills into power over people, inevitably over someone who has done her wrong in the past. But she not only ruins things for that person along the way, she leaves a trail of broken bodies and bruised souls as well.

Kaylee Williams Remember this actress by the name of Meg Tilly who got her start in horror with One Dark Night and Psycho II? She went on to star in this little film known as The Big Chill and she just happened to score an Oscar nomination for her performance in Agnes of Kid. Or how about this other actress known by the name of Renee Zellweger who starred in Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre? She went on to star in Chicago, Jerry Maguire and she happen to win an Oscar for Cold Mountain. So what does Meg Tilly and Renee Zellweger have to do with Kaylee Williams? Both actresses can come across as quiet and introverted, but when you put a movie camera on them, they have this compelling screen presence. Joe Hollow
From Joe Hollow, the director behind the indie slasher event of 2011 – “Cut”, and executive producers Shawn Allen & Debra Lamb comes "Mountain of the Flesh Eaters". Inspired by a short story written by Shawn Allen, Mountain of the Flesh Eaters follows in the terrifying tradition of such horror classics as The Hills Have Eyes & The Texas Chain Saw Massacre as a series of brutal, unrelenting murders plague a small town and the sheriff that gets caught up in the chaos.
Looking to join the ranks alongside those classics, Mountain of the Flesh Eaters will actually be told from the point of view of the flesh eating, blood thirsty cannibals themselves. With Mountain of the Flesh Eaters, film writer Joe Hollow is looking to get beyond the stereotypical characterizations and get to the heart of what makes these cannibals who they are. What makes them tick? What makes them engage in these cannibalistic activities?...

Well, this is my first post here on Geek Tyrant, so I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Deneen Melody, and I am an actress that has been given the opportunity to write here on Geek Tyrant, yay! It is pretty darn cool to have the chance to do something like this, so I would also like to thank Geeky Bastard himself, Brian Shirley, and the rest of the Geek Tyrant team. I hope that my blog will gain some new followers to the site and give an insight to the world of an independent actress. (Who just happens to be a huge Geek. So, expect plenty of posts about Geek Culture as well.)

Joe Hollow spent 16 years working in the music biz. Wanting to expand beyond that, he jumped full fledged into directing horror films. With Bloodstruck he teamed up one generation of scream queens, Linnea Quigley and Brinke Stevens, with the next generation; Devanny Pinn, Deneen Melody and Tara Cardinal for what is sure to be one hell of entertaining film. Next up, he is following that with Cut which just started filming. Need some reasons as to why you should be looking forward to this project? Slices of Life is a new anthology that opens with the wrap around "Sketcher" begins with young amnesiac Mira (Kaylee Williams) being awakened by her boss Irma (Helene Alter-Dyche) who's singing adds to this scene superbly and her trusty handy man Tiny (Marv Blauvelt). There, she is shown back to her desk in the motel that they also call her home. There she finds three books of sketches (Work Life, Home Life and Sex Life) which set this story in motion along with flashbacks and voices in her head and ends with her feeling "all new inside". This wrap around joins each story perfectly! Tinycore Pictures have just finished the post-production stages on independent horror feature 'Slices of Life' and have already begun leaking some truly creepy and disgusting stills from the movie. The movie scripted by Anthony Sumner, Eric Richter and Alan Rowe Kelly is a good old fashioned anthology tale. Check out the horrific images, the official one sheet and the trailer below. 'Mira (Kaylee Williams) awakens in front of a seedy roadside motel with amnesia. She searches for clues to her identity in the pages of three bound sketchbooks, in which each book represents a different aspect of everyday life, maybe her life. Convinced that the characters from these books are roaming around the motel, Mira's reality begins to crumble. Are these visions real or is she going insane? Desperate, Mira turns to the motel caretakers, only to discover the true evil bound in the flesh covered books and the destiny they hold for her.
