When Teen Wolf opens with a shot of an actual swastika, you know some bad stuff is about to go down.
And down it went on Tuesday’s exceptional episode, which claimed the existence of five beloved characters, dropped a heap of mythology in our laps, and officially promoted Mr. Douglas to Big Bad status.

Let’s start with the victims: Each in their own heartbreaking fashion, several members of Scott’s extended pack — Peter, Argent, Melissa, Mason and Hayden — fell prey to the Ghost Riders’ whips and/or bullets.

With more action and more focus, this week's Teen Wolf, Codominance, is a big improvement on the previous episode...
This review contains spoilers.
5.13 Codominance
After the unfocused efforts of Damnatio Memorae, it's nice to see Teen Wolf focusing a little bit more on specific characters and a specific topic. The topic itself takes a couple of different forms, but for this week, Teen Wolf casts its attention on the idea of relationships, and the various forms they can take. That's one of Teen Wolf's strongest points. The writers and actors are able to work together to establish realistic-feeling relationships, be it between the titular Teen Wolf and his sidekick or the newer characters and the familiar faces. However, one of the more interesting relationships that the show has explored is between the characters and their respective powers.
That's what the bulk of the relationships studied this week involve.

Teen Wolf's central group is slowly but surely fracturing in season 5, making for great drama alongside all the gore...
This review contains spoilers.
5.8 Ouroboros
Teen Wolf continues to double down on the two advantages it has over other shows of its ilk on television: a large cast that is actively developing chemistry, and a willingness to slaughter extras by the dozens in the name of body horror and gore. Teen Wolf makes great use of both things this week, splitting the team up on various missions while highlighting the growing fractures in the group. Some want to go on a brave rescue mission, others opt for protecting the weak, and still others are actively working to take the fractured group and shatter it completely. There's a lot going on and the conflict grows with every passing moment. All the while, people die horribly.
