Updated, Monday 12:06 p.m. Pt: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tried to prepare his country for a long war, saying in a televised speech that “this battle will not end until we end and eliminate our enemy.”
“The pictures that you see from Hamas are just the beginning. We have killed many of those fighters. Every place where Hamas is active and working will be completely destroyed.”
Portions of the speech were carried on major cable news networks, with translation. CNN featured a split screen of Netanyahu and network correspondent Hadas Gold translating for viewers.
“We all want results right here, right now, but it will take some time,” Netanyahu said. “But I promise you dear citizens: At the end of the war, all of our enemies will know it was a terrible mistake to attack Israel.”
Warning of “hard days coming,” Netanyahu called on opposition leaders to form...

The Salmon Ladders have all been scaled and the Summer 2021 season of “American Ninja Warrior” is in the books. Season 13 was the lucky one for winner Kaden Lebsack, who banked $100,000 in the strength and agility competition.
“American Ninja Warrior” winners can win up to $1,000,000 in prize money.
When Monday’s episode began, 20 ninjas were still technically in contention — and 19 of them hadn’t even run Stage Two ahead of the finale.
In addition to Lebsack, the Top 20 consisted of Jake Murray, Kyle Soderman, Isaiah Thomas, Joe Moravsky, Josiah Pippel, Tyler Yamauchi, Sean Bryan, Matt Bradley, Austin Gray, Brian Burkhardt, Vance Walker, Jesse Labreck, Kai Beckstrand, Isaiah Wakeham, Mike Silenzi, Jonathan Godbout, Ryan Meeks, Enzo DeFerrari Wilson and Adam Rayl.

In July 2012, the remains of Keith Anderson, father of Jake Anderson, until recently a deckhand on the crab-fishing boat F/V Northwestern, were found in the forests of Washington State.
The elder Anderson had been missing for more than two years, and fans of Discovery's Tuesday-night reality hit "Deadliest Catch" had watched Anderson struggle through, first, the premature death of his beloved sister, and then his father's disappearance.
So, when Jake Anderson -- who just got married the previous May -- went back to work on Northwestern on Alaska's Bering Sea last fall for blue-crab season, he may not have been in the best place mentally. After an on-deck dispute, he started throwing punches at fellow longtime deckhand Matt Bradley.
This got him in hot water with blue-crab Capt. Edgar Hansen, and with the boat's regular skipper, Edgar's older brother -- and Anderson's mentor -- Sig Hansen. At the same time,...

The good folks at Discovery Channel were kind enough to pass along to Zap2it fans this exclusive clip from Tuesday's (June 4) "Deadliest Catch" episode, showing the Bering Sea crab-fishing fleet enjoying audio of a Seattle Seahawks playoff game from January.
But when the crew of the F/V Time Bandit -- captained, for opilio-crab season, by Andy Hillstrand -- decides to celebrate in the usual way, something goes very wrong.
Watch:
Also, as "Deadliest" devotees know, Jake Anderson, a deckhand on the F/V Northwestern -- and the protege of its captain, Sig Hansen, who performed his wedding ceremony -- decided to seek advancement by moving over to the high-end fishing vessel Kiska Sea.
Anderson is still at sea, fishing (you'll have to keep watching to see on which boat), but he did have something to say on Twitter in May after his fight -- seen in the May...
