Adl Leader Says That Tucker Carlson “Must Go” Following Fox News Host’s “Replacement Theory” Remarks
The Anti-Defamation League’s CEO Jonathan Greenblatt condemned Tucker Carlson for defending “replacement theory” on his show Thursday and said that it’s time for the Fox News host to be taken off the network.
“Tucker must go,” Greenblatt wrote on Twitter. He also fired off a letter to Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott, in which he wrote that Carlson’s “full-on embrace of the white supremacist replacement theory on yesterday’s show and his repeated allusions to racist themes in past segments are a bridge too far.”
.@TuckerCarlson: “replacement theory” is a white supremacist tenet that the white race is in danger by a rising tide of non-whites.
It is antisemitic, racist and toxic. It has informed the ideology of mass shooters in El Paso, Christchurch and Pittsburgh.

Members of the U.S. Space Force will now be called “guardians” — and of course, the internet had a field day.
Vice President Mike Pence made the announcement on Friday, and the United States Space Force tweeted that the name was settled on “by space professionals, for space professionals” after a yearlong research process.
Today, after a yearlong process that produced hundreds of submissions and research involving space professionals and members of the general public, we can finally share with you the name by which we will be known: Guardians. pic.twitter.com/Tmlff4LKW6

“The opportunity to name a force is a momentous responsibility,” the U.S. Space Force tweeted. “Guardians is a name with a long history in space operations, tracing back to the original command motto of Air Force Space Command in 1983, ‘Guardians of the High Frontier.’”

President Donald Trump isn’t pleased with this year’s Oscar wins.
Thursday night, at a rally in Colorado, Trump, 73, mocked both Korean film Parasite and Brad Pitt for their victories.
“The winner is a movie from South Korea. What the hell was that all about? We’ve got enough problems with South Korea, with trade. And after all that, they give them best movie of the year?” Trump said, The Hill and Variety reported.
Trump’s rant was also shared by Vox journalist Aaron Rupar.
In the clip, Trump is heard saying, “Can we get Gone with the Wind back?...

Sixteen years ago this week, the United States invaded Iraq. We went in on an unconvincing excuse, articulated by George W. Bush in a speech days before invasion:
“Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised. This regime has already used weapons of mass destruction against Iraq’s neighbors and against Iraq’s people.”

One of the first things you learn covering American politicians is that they’re not terribly bright.
The notion that Hill denizens are brilliant 4-d chess players is pure myth, the product of too many press hagiographies of the Game Change variety and too many Hollywood fantasies like House of Cards and West Wing.
The average American politician would lose at checkers to a zoo gorilla. They’re usually in office for one reason: someone with money sent them there, often to vote yes on a key appropriation bill or two.

“What’s wrong with elitism?” asked Washington Post columnist Max Boot this week on Twitter. Boot posed this in a discussion about the merits of centrism, raised in the context of the “yellow vest” protests against the government of Emmanuel Macron in France.
American media seems to be confused by the protests. Few seem to understand what protesters want, or even who they are. Some outlets describe protesters as Trump-like nationalists aligned with Marine Le Pen, others as antifa-style leftists aligned with Jean-Luc Melenchon.

“If I were to run, I’d run as a Republican. They’re the dumbest group of voters in the
country. They love anything on Fox News. I could lie and they’d still eat it up. I bet my

“It is better to live one day as a lion than 100 years as a sheep.” – Benito Mussolini
Perhaps this is “bad business,” but before you do anything else, I want all of you to go over to Michael Davis World – yes, that Michael Davis, who happens to be my loooong time friend and fellow ComicMix columnist – and read Martha Thomases’s latest piece, entitled “Trump Card.” Then sit and think. Then read it again.
Then be afraid. Be very afraid.
