Multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer vaultboy continues his recent string of releases with his new single, “where tf have you been?”. The song follows vaultboy enjoying the rush of a new love, while simultaneously dealing with the frustration of not finding said love earlier.
“This song is about loving someone so much that you’re actually mad that they didn’t come into your life sooner. It’s sarcastic and dramatic and was a lot of fun to make. I hope it can be one of the songs people blast in the car when they’re with their significant other having a good time,” said vaultboy.
Dubbed “the King of Sad Songs” by Rolling Stone, vaultboy is no stranger to being vulnerable and wearing his heart on his sleeve. This time, vaultboy takes a more playful and comedic approach, delivering an uptempo track with electronic tendencies. His latest release follows “everything,...

Leading up to the Grammy nominations on Nov. 10, Rolling Stone is breaking down 16 different categories. For each, we’re predicting the nominees, as well as who will (and who should) win on Grammy night.
This is a moment overflowing with worthy country songs, so even though this category makes room for six nominees, there are others worth considering. Megan Moroney’s “Tennessee Orange” has to be in the conversation, according to CMT’s Leslie Fram. “I listened to all her songs and was like, ‘Ok, she is a real songwriter,...

Oliver Anthony set foot in Nashville for the first time this weekend, making his Music City debut not at the Grand Ole Opry or the Ryman Auditorium, but at the annual birthday-party-slash-block-party thrown by Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. The honky-tonk marked its 63rd anniversary with its usual shut-down-the-street blowout and a lineup featuring Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser, Lee Brice, and X-rated country character Wheeler Walker Jr.
But it was Anthony who brought the most buzz, as well as his Bible. After joining Johnson and Houser onstage for a rendition of Johnson’s “In Color,...

The recording industry has certainly transformed since 98 Degrees came onto the scene 25 years ago, but one thing remains the same: "There's still some great music being made," Nick Lachey tells Popsugar. Ahead of a 98 Degrees reunion concert at all-inclusive resort Beaches Turks & Caicos in late August, the R&b group chat with Popsugar about nostalgia's impact on their revival, all things '90s boy bands, and what members Nick and Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons, and Justin Jeffre have been up to since they first started adorning posters.
Last summer, the band released new music for the first time in eight years: an upbeat track called "Where Do You Wanna Go" that was "great for the moment." "Everybody had been in lockdown for so long, and when things were opening back up, we thought the song was incredibly catchy and just represented fun," Jeffre says. "Everybody was ready to get back out and have some fun.

Vaccinations, masks and Covid tests are out at this year’s Coachella and Stagecoach festivals, according to postings on their respective official web sites.
“In accordance with local guidelines, there will be no vaccination, testing or masking requirements at Coachella 2022,” reads the “Health & Safety” page for the Goldenvoice-produced event. Ditto the same page on the Stagecoach site.
Face coverings are, however, “recommended to protect against desert dust.”
The changes follow a slew of similar announcements from the State of California, which will lift mask requirements at outdoor mega-events tomorrow, and Disneyland, which just today indicated it is lifting masking requirements in the park on Thursday.
Queried yesterday what precautions he would take at such an event, California Director of Health and Human Services Dr. Mark Ghaly said, “If you’re asking my advice, keep your mask near you [and] try to be in a group where you know other people are vaccinated.

Like the Billboard Music Awards handed out earlier this year, these Ama contenders are based on fan interactions with music like record sales, streaming performance, and radio airplay. But unlike the BBMAs, winners are decided by fans voting online for their favorites effective immediately. And this time those fans can vote on TikTok, which could potentially skew the winners younger. Scroll down for the complete list of nominees.

The 2021 Country Music Association Awards are about a month away, airing on Wednesday night, November 10 live on ABC. So let’s take a look at who will win the six CMA artist categories, including the biggest award of the night …
SEEWomen underrepresented in the CMA Awards nominations … again Entertainer of the Year
It’s been 10 years since Taylor Swift won this award for the last time in 2011, making her the last woman to win to date. A decade before that, Shania Twain and The Chicks won this award back to back in 1999 and 2000, which made them the first women to win since Reba McEntire had done so in 1986. So perhaps enough time has passed for the CMAs to be gracious enough to award a woman this time around; after all, it’s pretty wild that neither Miranda Lambert nor Carrie Underwood has ever won this category.

The Grammys can be a little unpredictable, to say the least. And there isn’t a whole industry of precursor award shows designed to build up to an eventual Grammy win, like the SAG Awards, Golden Globes, and BAFTAs do before the Oscars. That said, there are still awards that can help you out with your Grammy predictions, and a couple we might even be able to look to for consistent guidance moving forward.

Luke Bryan won the top prize, entertainer of the year, at Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards, accepting the honor via remote from Los Angeles, where he had just made a surprise return to his “American Idol” hosting duties after recovering from Covid-19.
Bryan had publicly announced only six days ago that he was diagnosed with the virus. The 2021 Academy of Country Music Awards aren’t until April 18, but on April 8 they announced a couple of the ACM Awards winners early: Jimmie Allen as New Male Artist of the Year and Gabby Barrett as New Female Artist of the Year. In addition to their victories, they’re also joining the list of performers scheduled to appear during the broadcast. Watch ACMs host Keith Urban surprise the winners with the news here and here.
This was the second nomination in this category for Allen, who defeated Cody Johnson, Hardy, Parker McCollum, and Travis Denning. His victory makes him the first Black winner ever in his category at a time when the country music industry has been confronted with how overwhelmingly white the genre has been over the course of its history. The ACM ceremony itself will be co-hosted by Mickey Guyton, who is the first Black woman ever to emcee the event.
