Linda and Mr. Fischoeder are teaming up to sing an ode to bananas in a new sneak peek at Sunday’s episode of “Bob’s Burgers,” and who doesn’t love a good duet?
With lyrics like “I like bananas in muffins and scones / I like bananas when I’m making a phone,” the song appears not to be the Hoosier Hot Shots novelty song “I Like Bananas (Because They Have No Bones),” but a completely different song about a different set of reasons to be fond of the yellow fruit.
The clip comes from Sunday’s episode “Copa-Bob-bana,” in which Bob (H. Jon Benjamin) agrees to be the temporary chef at the Fischoeders’ new nightclub. Meanwhile, the kids get a hold of a stock tank and decide to throw a pool party in the restaurant basement.

Exclusive: Fox has locked in two of the tentpoles of its Sunday animation block for two more years. The network has renewed flagship Family Guy for Seasons 19 and 20 and the Emmy-winning Bob’s Burgers for a 12th and 13th season. The two long-running series, along with animated stalwart The Simpsons, come from 20th Television.
The Simpsons was picked up for an unprecedented 31st and 32nd seasons in early 2019 as former Fox sibling 20th TV was about to move to Disney as part of a $71.3 billion asset acquisition. I hear talks are underway on a major Simpsons renewal too.

“Bob’s Burgers” is back with a new season later this month and, much like the rest of us, the Belcher family is facing a public health crisis.
A new promo for the upcoming 11th season released by Fox on Tuesday, teases an upcoming episode titled “Worms of In-Rear-Ment” in which a pinworm epidemic hits the local community, derailing Linda’s plans to take her family to the symphony. Maybe not a global coronavirus pandemic, but still pretty bad.
The new season of “Bob’s Burgers” premieres Sunday, Sept. 27 on Fox.

Updated: Animated series writers are protesting a decision by the Television Academy to allow NBC’s Community to compete for Emmys in animated categories, arguing that they should be allowed similar cross-genre privileges.
Community made it onto the Emmy nomination ballot in several categories, including best animated program — along with 33 entries from full-time animated shows. The episode, “Digital Estate Planning,” features the cast rendered into 8-bit characters to compete in an old-school-style video game.

Sarah Silverman's getting two new friends for her NBC pilot. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Lost" star Ken Leung and comedian Tig Notaro will appear alongside Silverman in the comedy project loosely based on Silverman's life.
Leung, who played Miles on "Lost," will play Gene, a tenant in Silverman's building who spends most of his time with a blanket in front of his TV. Since the end of "Lost" in 2010, Leung made a guest appearance on "The Good Wife."
Notaro, who appeared on Silverman's Comedy Central series, "The Sarah Silverman Program," will play a mother and fellow tenant in Silverman's character's apartment building. Notaro's character is described as an eccentric woman.
The show follows Silverman's character as she adjusts to life as a newly single woman after ending a committed, decade-long relationship. Silverman co-wrote the project with fellow "Sarah Silverman Program" veterans Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder.

When there’s two rival Beauty and the Beast projects, you gotta think a trend is forming. Following the success of ABC’s top-rated new drama Once Upon a Time (and to a lesser extent, NBC’s Grimm), broadcast-network pilot season seems to have a greater than usual number of projects with fantasy or supernatural elements — along with a ton of shows about federal agents, everyday cops, doctors, conspiracies, and cults. The magical-realism trend is partly a continuation from last year’s pilot season. This time around, however, there seems to be fewer head-turning TV reboots ideas in the mix...

Harris Wittels, who was a writer on Silverman’s Comedy Central series, will play Harris Wittels, a version of himself, in a role created for him. Also cast is June Diane Raphael whose writing credits include the feature comedy Bride Wars. The untitled single-camera comedy, from 20th Century Fox TV and Imagine TV, is loosely based on Silverman’s life and stars the comedian as Susan, a woman readjusting to the single life after a decade-long live-in relationship. Wittels’ Harris Wittels is a short, hipster, endearing and good-natured tenant in Susan’s building who happens to be a huge fan. NBC Greenlights New Sarah Silverman Pilot
NBC has ordered a new pilot from the wonderfully smutty mind of comedian Sarah Silverman. The single-camera sitcom is loosely based on Silverman’s life and is to be executive produced by Ron Howard, who has adopted the show as his new pet project, much in the same vain as he approached Arrested Development.
Howard has apparently attended all of the pitch meetings and this half-hour show will be produced by 20th Century Fox TV and Imagine TV and will see Silverman readjust to single life after a decade-long live-in relationship.
Silverman scribed the piece alongside Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder, who were also writer and producers on her self-titled Comedy Central series.
Silverman, Sterling, Howard, Brain Grazer and Francie Calfo are executive producing and the shows announcement comes on the back of several other shows being picked up by the peacock network.

Sarah Silverman Pilot Picked up by NBC
That saucy comedienne is in the news again. This week Sarah Silverman must be sitting on Cloud 9. Did you know she was developing a pilot? It’s true! Guess what. Her series just received a green light from NBC.
According to the Deadline exclusive, there was quite a bidding war over Silverman’s series! NBC became the victor back in August. Now the half-hour long, 20th Century Fox TV and Imagine TV backed series has even garnered the attention of Imagine helmer Ron Howard! Say what!? It’s just a little comedy right?
Well, kinda sorts based upon Silverman’s real life story, the so-far untitled “single-camera comedy” stars Silverman as a woman learning to adjust to the single-life once more after a ten-year live-in relationship comes to an end.
As if starring in it and having it mimic her life aren’t enough,...

NBC has ordered a pilot for a comedy script with Sarah Silverman as the main star.
The pilot will star Silverman as a woman readjusting to single life following a decade long live-in relationship. That sounds like her real life a little bit maybe?
Silverman is set to co-write the project with Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder, who co-wrote her Comedy Central series The Sarah Silverman Program.
Executive producers on the comedy include Ron Howard, Silverman, Sterling, Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo.
I think Sarah is pretty funny actually. Did any of you watch her on The League this past week? That was hilarious!
So what do you all think? What's your favorite Sarah moment? Who here thinks she is a terrible Comedian/Actress? I would love some feedback.

[1] NBC has won the bidding war for a new comedy series by Sarah Silverman, beating out competing networks ABC and Fox. Loosely based on Silverman's own life [2], the untitled single-camera show will star the comedian as a woman getting back into single life after getting out of a ten-year relationship. Silverman is set to co-write the pilot with Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder, both of whom worked on her previous series The Sarah Silverman Program. Also on board with the project is Ron Howard, who has been "deeply involved" with the show's development, and his Imagine Entertainment partner Brian Grazer. Worth noting: The last time Grazer and Howard collaborated on a single-camera network comedy series, the result was Arrested Development. I'll be keeping an eye on this one. [The Hollywood Reporter [3]] After the jump, a Daily Show writer plays with Henson puppets, a Sopranos actor returns to organized crime, and Clone Wars' fourth season gets a trailer.

Los Angeles, California (X17online) - Sarah Silverman is returning to TV. The comedian sold a sitcom to NBC. The plot is said to be loosely based on her life, focusing on a single woman who's trying to get back into the swing of single life after ending a decade-long, live-in relationship. The project went through an intense bidding war before being picked up by the peacock network. It is being co-written by Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder, who worked on The Sarah Silverman Program with the comedian, and executive produced by Ron Howard, Silverman, Sterling, Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo. This is the third female-focused comedy NBC is working on this year. Whitney Cummings series Whitney will air this fall while Chelsea Handler's Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea, based on the comedian's book, will premiere mid-season. Sarah's sitcom is currently untitled. Her last show, The Sarah Silverman Program,...

Sarah Silverman's upcoming comedy series has found a home at NBC, an individual familiar with the project confirms to TheWrap. The single-camera comedy, which is being co-produced by Imagine TV and 20th Century Fox Television, has received a put-pilot commitment from NBC, following a bidding war between multiple networks. Silverman is co-writing with Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder, both veterans of Comedy Central's "The Sarah Silverman Program." Silverman will co-executive produce with Sterling, Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo. The series had also sparked interest from ABC and Fox.

Fans of Comedy Central's ill-fated "The Sarah Silverman Program" can take comfort in the fact that the star's next project seems almost destined to make it to the tube.
NBC has acquired a new comedy from Sarah Silverman after what Deadline reports was a "major bidding war" between the peacock, ABC and Fox.
The untitled single-camera series secured a put pilot commitment from NBC, meaning once the script is delivered, it's contractually required to go into production -- significantly boosting its chances of making it to air.
Where Silverman's first series seemed to be more of an absurdist take on her life, this next loose adaptation of her own experiences follows a woman reentering single life after leaving her live-in boyfriend of a decade.
Fellow writer-producers of "The Sarah Silverman Program," Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder, will write the pilot alongside Silverman, with Imagine TV's Brian Grazer and Ron Howard producing.

Sarah Silverman, Whitney Cummings and Chelsea Handler will now be under the same roof. After a bidding war, NBC has snagged Silverman’s single-camera comedy project with a hefty put pilot commitment. The comedy, a pet project of Imagine principal Ron Howard, drew strong interest from all networks it was pitched to, with two, NBC and ABC, offering major commitments. Loosely based on Silverman’s life, the untitled single-camera comedy stars the comedian as a woman readjusting to the single life after a decade-long live-in relationship. Silverman is writing with Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder, who were writer-producers on her self-titled Comedy Central series. Silverman, Howard, Sterling, Grazer and Francie Calfo are executive producing. At NBC, Silverman, joins two other female comedians known for their raunchy, no-holds-barred standup: Cummings, creator and star of her own eponymous comedy series on NBC, which launches this fall, and Handler, who is behind another upcoming sitcom on the network.

Exclusive: We have the first major bidding war of the season -- I hear ABC, NBC and Fox are in pursuit of Imagine TV/20th Century Fox TV's untitled Sarah Silverman comedy co-written by and starring the irreverent comedian, with at least 2 networks, ABC and NBC, offering major commitments. (CBS has not heard the pitch yet). What's more, the single-camera comedy loosely based on Silverman's life has become a pet project of Imagine principal Ron Howard. Imagine's TV division is under the oversight of Howard's partner, Brian Grazer, who serves as an executive producer on all TV shows. Very rarely has Howard taken personal interest in a TV project, becoming deeply invested in its development as was the case with Imagine TV's Emmy-winning Arrested Development. That is now the case with the Silverman project, and Howard has gone along to all pitch meetings at the networks. Co-produced by Imagine TV and 20th TV,...

Hollywoodnews.com: It has been years since comedian Sarah Silverman had a television platform for her intelligent, provocative material. But the wheels have been set in motion that might return Silverman to the small screen.
She’s currently working on a new project with Jon Schroeder and Dan Sterling, collaborators on Comedy Central’s “The Sarah Silverman Program,” that is part of a deal Silverman made with Imagine Television, THR reports. No network is in play at this time.
Silverman’s Comedy Central program last three seasons. In it, she played a fictionalized version of her own personality (much like Jerry Seinfeld, Tim Allen and Roseanne Barr all have tried in the past).
Over the years, Silverman also has had success in film, starring in “The School of Rock” and “School for Scoundrels.” She’ll next appear with Seth Rogen and Michelle Williams in Sarah Polley’s “Take This Waltz.

HBO led all TV networks in attracting nominations in the 60th anniversary WGA Awards, fetching two noms for dramatic series writing and three for comedy series writing.
In the dramatic series category, HBO's The Sopranos and The Wire are joined by Showtime's Dexter, NBC's Friday Night Lights and AMC's Mad Men.
In the comedy series category, HBO attracted noms for Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage and Flight of the Conchords. Also nominated in the category are NBC's The Office and 30 Rock.
