George Clooney and frequent co-star Julia Roberts appeared together on the latest edition of Bruce Bozzi’s “Table for Two” podcast.
During the course of the conversation, Clooney looked back on how becoming the breakout star of medical drama “ER” — then one of television’s hottest series — propelled him from TV to the big screen.
Becoming a movie star, however, was not assured, and Clooney recalled the level of skepticism that greeted a TV actor embarking on a prospective film career.

Andy Cohen is calling out The Late Late Show with James Corden for ripping off his Watch What Happens Live set. The Bravo star went on the Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi podcast where he said his late-night show set a new standard.
“I’m not a comedian [and] I think [Wwhl is] a different type of talk show. I think there has been a traditional idea of what a late-night talk show is, and I would argue that Watch What Happens Live redefined what the late-night talk show is,” Cohen said on the iHeartMedia podcast that dropped on December 27.
Cohen continued, “[Wwhl] was the first bar on late-night [then] James Corden got a bar. James Corden kind of wound up [copying our set]. It is what it is.”
The podcast host added, “Ripping off your set,” to which Cohen said, “There you go. I am so glad we’re still going. That [the show] is, like, great, copy my set … go with God.

Scarlett Johansson opened up on how she “got stuck” playing “bombshell” roles, in which she claims her old management team “groomed” her into taking at the beginning of her acting career.
“I kind of became, like, an ingénue,” the actress told Bruce Bozzi during Tuesday’s episode of iHeartRadio’s “Table for Two” podcast.
“Young girls like that are really objectified, and that’s just a fact, so I think whatever box they’re put into, it sort of sets you on this trajectory for how your life will go. Now, obviously women really are able more now to choose their own path,” she continued.

Scarlett Johansson has opened up about being “groomed” to be a bombshell actor early on in her career.
In a new interview, the Black Widow star opened up about how she was typecast from the beginning of her career.
“I did Lost in Translation and Girl With the Pearl Earring and by that point, I was 18, 19 and I was coming into my own womanhood and learning my own desirability and sexuality,” she said.
The 38-year-old continued: “I was kind of being groomed, in a way, to be this what you call a bombshell-type actor.”
“I was playing the other woman and the object of desire and I suddenly found myself cornered in this place. I couldn’t get out of it,” Johansson explained.
“Right around that time is when I met Bryan [Lourd],” the actor said referring to her longtime agent, who helped her break out of the “bombshell” pathway.

Daniel Craig has talked about the recent confirmation that his Glass Onion character is gay, saying “it’s normal. But we don’t make a song and dance out of it”.
The actor reprises his role as master detective Benoit Blanc in the Knives Out sequel, which was released in cinemas in November and will arrive on Netflix later this month.
Blanc’s sexuality was the point of much speculation given that the film features a particular scene that suggests Blanc is living with a man. Director Rian Johnson has since confirmed the character is queer.
Speaking about the revelation of his character’s sexuality in a new interview with The Sunday Times, Craig said that when making films, “you are supposed to reflect life. And that [gay] relationship reflects my life”.
The 54-year-old added: “It’s normal. But we don’t want to make a song and dance out of it.

Reed Newman, the 28-year-old owner of Revival Roots, first discovered his green thumb during childhood trips from Los Angeles to his family’s Santa Ynez ranch, where his parents, entertainment attorney Jeanne Newman and former Fox Broadcasting Co. chairman Gary Newman, grew grapes, olives and other vegetables. After getting his bachelor’s degree at Cornell University’s school of agriculture, Newman was inspired by a backyard dinner at a family friend’s house, where he learned that the vegetables they were grilling not only came from their own home garden, but that their garden was tended to by a woman who specialized in growing produce.
“[I thought], ‘Let’s create a service that helps people accomplish the goal of growing [their own] vegetables,’ ” Newman says of his company that builds and maintains organic vegetable gardens, fruit tree orchards and edible landscapes for homeowners in Los Angeles.
