While Elena having her memories wiped clean of Damon allows for her to live the rest of her life without feeling the grief of his loss, her lack of love for the departed Salvatore brother also opens her up to potentially falling for another guy. If the photo above from the November 13 episode of The Vampire Diaries is any indication, it looks like Liam (Marco James) may be a new romantic interest for Elena, as the two of them appear very couplely sitting together. Elsewhere in the episode (which is titled “Do You Remember the First Time?”), it looks like Bonnie may be running scared from something as she comes out of the Mystic Falls Medical Center. Perhaps she’s getting some blood for Damon, assuming the two of them are still trapped in the 1990s together, and Kai (Chris Wood) is going after her? Meanwhile, Stefan and Caroline seem to…...

The Vampire Diaries has offered up a steady stream of casting news this week, and they’re not done yet. Earlier today, the CW announced that former star of The Carrie Diaries, Chris Wood, has been cast in a recurring role for the upcoming season.
According to TV Guide, Wood will be playing a character name Kai, who is a charmingly unstable newcomer with the unsettling ability to seem normal as the situation demands. He can be both playful and obsessive with a mix of adolescent angst. Considering this is a show where vampires pretend to be normal humans on a daily basis, it seems like he’s going to do just fine. In fact, he may be the perfect candidate to join the supernatural club.
This comes on the heels of news that four other characters have been added for season six. Eureka’s Craig Ferguson will be playing...

The Vampire Diaries has really cleaned house over the course of the last season and cut down to a core group of characters. With season six premiering this fall, the show will introduce several new characters as it attempts to do what executive producer Julie Plec calls an “organic reset.”
The CW has just announced that included in this new start will be Julie C. Chang (Days of Our Lives, Total Recall), who will play the quintessential girl next door, Ivy. Ivy is pegged as sweet and innocent on the surface, but with a wild side just waiting to come out. Her character will debut in the season premiere, and it’ll be interesting to see if she gets along with the other female characters who aren’t exactly known for playing well with others.
Along with Chang, The Vampire Diaries has also cast The Client List alum Marco James in a recurring role.
