"The Twlight Saga" has dominated the book lists, the box office, the music charts and even the fast food industry. Now it will turn it's attention to the small screen, but not in the fashion you might think.
The Wrap has reported that there are talks to produce a reality show based on the small town of Forks, Washington, which serves as the back drop of the action of "The Twilight Saga", Stephenie Meyer's immortal bestselling series that is an entity in it's own right. The show would be along the lines of The Real Housewives and follow either families or a group of kids around and chronicle their lives in light of the town's newfound celebrity. According to Zig Gauthier, the show's producer, the exact premise isn't shaped out just yet, but he knows the basis of what he wants the premise to achieve; which is "to peel...

Before you immediately think that folks are scheming up a reality show based on real-life teenage vampires and werewolves, let me lay this one on straight: it’s not happening. While I’d personally love to see a reality show based on the lives of those who obsess over all things Twilight morning, noon and night, it seems producers have something else in mind. WENN reports that producer Zig Gauthier wants to piece together a reality show based on Forks, Washington, which, as those Twi-hards out there probably already know, is the very real town where author Stephenie Meyer decided to set the Twilight series. Since the books and films have reached a level of ridiculous popularity, folks have been flocking to Forks to check out the place for themselves (even though no...

Remember Forks? That little Washington town that Stephenie Meyer chose to set her Twilight Saga in? As the craze continues, the area's vampire population continues to increase with stores relishing in everything Bella and Edward, and themed restaurants getting into the groove. And now, unsurprisingly, there's going to be a reality series.
But wait -- it's not going to be a fang-fest full of teeny boppers going overboard about their favorite Forks couple. According to WENN, producer Zig Gauthier is cooking up a series based on the real folks of Forks. The producer says: "Obviously we won't be out on the ocean or dealing with that kind of danger, but the idea is to show what life here is really like. There are a variety of ways we could do this, but of course this is at the very beginning stages." Nothing supernatural will be in this mix: "We want...

Most tweens have become familiar with the town of Forks, Washington because of the Twilight Saga series. And now the real town of Forks is getting its own reality show! According to The Wrap, producer Zig Gauthier is developing a series based on the real people of Forks. The producer says: "Obviously we won't be out on the ocean or dealing with that kind of danger, but the idea is to show what life here is really like. Reality TV producers are planning a new series based on the Washington state town where the Twilight films are set.
Casting is underway for a new reality show about the everyday lives of the residents of Forks, Washington - which now calls itself 'The Home of Twilight'.
Twilight author Stephenie Meyer used the town of 3,000 as the backdrop for the vampire series.
Producer Zig Gauthier tells the local Peninsula Daily News, "Obviously we won't be out on the ocean or dealing with that kind of danger, but the idea is to show what life here is really like. There are a variety of ways we could do this, but of course this is at the very beginning stages."
However, the show will not focus on locals' claims to the supernatural.
Gauthier adds, "We want people who have a true connection to the community. We want to avoid people with outlandish claims."...

No, this is not a Real World Vancouver staring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and the cast of Twilight. But the newest reality show to hit the air might be based on Forks, Washington — the town where Bella Swan, Jacob Black, The Cullens, and the rest of the fictional Twilight characters live.
But as Zig Gauthier found out, it’s a real place, where about 3,200 real people live. And he’s been hanging around the small town, trying to “cast for an unscripted project” that geared towards Twi-Hards, according to The Wrap. ”But don’t expect to see Forks townies pretending to be vampires and werewolves,” he said. (Or any appearances from the heart-throb cast-members.)
“We’re not going up there looking to cast people who have claims to the supernatural,” Gauthier says. “We want people who have a true connection to the community. We want to avoid people with outlandish claims.

I’m pretty sure this is one of the signs of the apocalypse: greed, famine, reality shows based on shallow teenage vampires and werewolves. Read the Bible, it’s in there and it’s happening! Thankfully, the show isn’t going to be as outlandish as it sounds, since there are obviously no supernatural beings living among us, but producer Zig Gauthier is still gonna try to capitalize on the popularity that the Twilight movies and books have brought to the sleepy town of Forks, Washington.
