Tenacious D’s Kyle Gass has shared the cameo-filled video for “Vaccinated,” his spoof on the Ramones’ “I Wanna Be Sedated.”
Over the video’s 90 seconds, a bevy of famous friends — including Samantha Bee, Evanescence’s Amy Lee, John C. Reilly, Toto’s Steve Lukather, Kathy Najimy, and (in medical scrubs) Gass’ bandmate Jack Black — all drop in to sing along to Gass’ take on the punk classic. The video also features appearances by the Protomen, Danko Jones, Black Stone Cherry, and more.

'It's So Easy and Other Lies' movie: Biographical documentary of Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan. 'It's So Easy and Other Lies' movie review: Biographical documentary of Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan fails to develop unique idea Any rock and roll documentary that begins with a quote from Upton Sinclair's The Jungle and ends with a reference to Norman Rockwell is gunning for something uncommonly rich and thoughtful. Here, the high-toned references are awkwardly applied to the story of Duff McKagan, Seattle-born bassist of the loud and legendary Guns N' Roses and subject of the documentary It's So Easy and Other Lies. In the annals of rock music, McKagan's tale is sadly typical, at least for those who survive long enough to star in a film about themselves: young rocker bounces from band to band before joining a soon-to-be world-famous group, enjoys a rapid ascent to the top,...

Jane's Addiction leader Perry Farrell has been on the vanguard for almost every important musical movement in the last three decades — alternative music, Lollapalooza, the rise of Edm, and Coachella, to name a few. Nowadays, though, it would seem the 54-year-old singer has different priorities — hanging with friends.
One of those friends would be Alice In Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell. The Chains have experienced a revival since hiring William DuVall to replace the late Lane Staley in 2007. That comeback trail has led to the also-reactivated Jane's Addiction and Alice In Chains teaming up to cross North America under the Rockstar Uproar touring festival banner.
Farrell couldn't be happier about reconnecting with Cantrell.
"I performed with Jerry at Sing Sing prison [for a benefit documented by MC5's Wayne Kramer] probably two years ago. That was the last time we hung out," says Farrell about Alice In Chains' central figure. "But other than that we had really lost touch...

Next month, the kids and young adults of "Kick-Ass" are back for more foul-mouthed, envelope-pushing action and to help in their quest to stop The Motherfucker, they've got a batch of rockin' tunes to push their adventures to the max. So who's along for the ride? Well, things kick off with boy band Union J, who we didn't know existed until this moment, and now we regret everything. Douches Glasvegas take up the second slot on the disc but don't worry, things get sorta better. Famed producer Diplo teams with some folks for "Motherquake," Canadian rocker Danko Jones does his no nonsense thing, while former hipster faves The Go! Team make an appearance to remind you of what you were listening to in the mid-2000s. Granted, we may not be fans of the music here, but they'll definitely do their job of amping things up on the big screen.

Hailing from Fayetteville, Arkansas, three-piece hard rock unit Spoken have been playing since the late '90s, and over that period their sound has evolved from rapcore/metal to a more melodic, pop-based hard rock. Their ambitious new concept album Illusion, which dropped earlier this year, represents a creative turning point for the band and has won over a new group of fans. Just before they set out on a tour this month with Volbeat and Danko Jones, we caught up with the Spoken crew – frontman Matt Baird, bassist Ryan Pei and drummer Oliver Crumpton – to talk about the reinvention of their sound, the making of the new album, and the influence of Rob Zombie on their early career. Of course we also had to know about the movies that freaked them out as kids – or as adults, for that matter – and they were happy to oblige. Check out our...

Ralph Macchio might be focusing on hoofing it to a "Dancing With the Stars" victory, but he reminds the world that he is, at heart, an actor in "I Think Bad Thoughts," the new video from Canadian rock trio Danko Jones. The latest in a trilogy of videos, the clip is a star-studded, gritty offering that features Macchio, Elijah Wood and Jena Malone in a high-octane tale of guns, adrenaline and intrigue. (Previous installments of the video trilogy have featured Selma Blair and Motorhead rocker Lemmy Kilmister.) Watch the former Karate Kid's...

I’m not much of a fan of films that are sequels but are actually prequels, this is one of those movies. This film is overly campy and much like the first film in the series, it’s poorly written. Not much more to say about this film other then it was complete and utter trash.

Saw 3D The Final Chapter (Blu-Ray)Lionsgate Home Entertainment2010/90 mins/UnratedList Price $39.99 – Now AvailableThe Saw franchise is actually a guilty pleasure for me, I like these films. Strange, since the first time I saw the original, it didn't click with me. I grew tired of its many subplots and flashbacks plus trying to guess exactly who the Jigsaw killer was. Once his identity was revealed, it gave the brilliant Tobin Bell the opportunity to create one of the most iconic villains in the horror genre. Except when you look at it from a certain point of view, Jigsaw isn't really a villain. He's not a serial killer either, but a scientist and philosopher, hoping to give people a new appreciation for their lives through trials by fire. At least that's how he looks at it. But you have to hand it to Jigsaw. Those few who survive his deadly traps...

Cleveland, Ohio’s pioneering rock vaudeville act Mushroomhead fresh off a successful summer trek with Hed(pe) and Straight Line Stitch, as well as dates on Mayhem Festival resume recording at their Filthy Hands Studio. Their 7th studio album will be completed this fall for a 2010 release via Megaforce/Sony Music. Produced by co-founding member and drummer Steve “Skinny” Felton, the band promises this will be their most ferocious and ruthless sound to date! The band recently released their “Vol. 2” DVD last year which debut at #7 in Billboard’s “Top Music Videos” chart.
In the meantime the band will debut a new song called “Your Soul Is Mine” to be released on the upcoming Saw VI movie soundtrack available everywhere on October 20. Back for the sixth installment of the Saw horror series this Halloween (in theaters October 23), moviegoers will once again cringe in their seats as blood, guts and body parts are up for grabs.

"Hello... I want to play a game," those are the immortal words Saw's sadistic purveyor of self-imposed twisted justice Jigsaw utters to his victims as they come to. And if you hear those words you're soon to find yourself in a world of hurt. Back for the sixth installment of the Saw horror series this Halloween (in theaters October 23), moviegoers will once again cringe in their seats as blood, guts and body parts are up for grabs.
In Saw VI, Special Agent Strahm is dead, and Detective Hoffman has emerged as the unchallenged successor to Jigsaw's legacy. However, when the FBI draws closer to Hoffman, he is forced to set a game into motion, and Jigsaw's grand scheme is finally understood.
What started out as a "little" indie horror movie back in 2004 has turned into a juggernaut go-for-the-throat franchise so gruesome you want to turn away, yet so compelling you just can't.
