The Last Ship: “Lockdown” - Sunday, July 27 at 9 Pm
“Lockdown” is a fairly mellow episode for The Last Ship, even when a potential outbreak of the deadly virus threatens to kill everyone on-board the ship. It’s certainly not like the rest of the episodes, which have featured explosions and gunfire and destruction of other cultures.
But at least we’re actually talking about the virus here and not terrible stereotypes. When one of the soldiers comes down with what might be the flu, the ship goes into the lockdown that the title suggests. But there’s more!

We're not going to lie - when we found out that Zoe Birkett was entering the Big Brother house earlier this week, the Digital Spy office got very excited indeed. What a blast from the past - and how much the "little podgy kid from Pop Idol with the dreadlocks" (her words, not ours) has grown up in the last 13 years. But it got us thinking - what happened to the other contestants? We put on our deerstalker, pulled out our magnifying glass and started digging...

There’s a moment in one of comedian Simon Amstell’s stand up shows where he recounts a conversation he once had with the executive producer of Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks. Trading on the commonly held opinion that Hollyoaks is “rubbish”, Amstell enquired as to why the producer didn’t try to make it better. The answer came that they did make it better, but people stopped watching.
Even by the not-so-great standards that soaps are measured, Hollyoaks has always been firmly towards the bottom of the ladder. The fictional Chester suburb where the majority of inhabitants are extraordinarily good looking but also extraordinarily stupid has been identified by its often wildly outlandish storylines and impossibly pretty people.

It's a make or break year for Big Brother. The celebrity version of the reality show is a rare hit for Channel 5 and has a secure future on the channel. But the original format with Joe Public is no longer the ratings grabbing/watercooler TV that it once was.
Gone are the days of Jade, mad Nikki Grahame, Fight Night and Nasty Nick. It feels like a long time ago when going in the Big Brother house was a guaranteed route to five minutes of fame, a slot on Hole in the Wall and a tacky magazine deal, even if you just spent 34 days belly-down on a beanbag.
Any of the contestants from last year's series would have been happy with five seconds of fame, let alone five minutes.
Shievonne. Luke A. Caroline. Ashleigh. Victoria. Lydia Louisa. These names probably mean nothing to you. They are a selection of last year's utterly unmemorable housemates,...

Big Brother's Lydia Louisa suggested tonight (June 29) that her eviction was partly down to her famous fiancée and personal success. The dancer was greeted by boos as she became the fourth contestant to leave the Big Brother house. Asked by Brian Dowling why she thought she had been voted out, Lydia replied: "To be honest, I think I always expected it, I have to be honest. "I thought coming on here, it was a massive risk for me. And I knew that just having someone who was in the public eye as a partner, and the stuff I'd done before, I know that some people... sometimes they don't like that kind of stuff. "I just wanted to represent people my age that are successful or whatever." When asked to elaborate on why Deana Uppal had been saved over her, she said: "I can't second-guess it, I've not seen it.

One user explained that they would be voting for Lydia due to her being "so manipulative, scheming and confrontational", however another argued that the 26-year-old is more "entertaining to watch".
