Catcher and third baseman with the Pittsburgh Pirates, 1953-1954.
Halfback with the Washington Redskins, 1954-1955. Career was cut short owing to injuries received in an automobile accident.
Inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1976.
1950 Heisman Trophy winner.
Halfback on the Ohio State University football team, 1949-1951.
Inducted into the Ohio State University Men's Varsity "O" Hall of Fame in 1977.
Inducted into the Elyria [Ohio] Sports Hall of Fame in 1972 (inaugural class).
Vic Janowicz Memorial Park, named in his honor, is on Stargate Drive in his hometown of Elyria, Ohio.
His football jersey number (31) was retired by Ohio State University in September 2000.
