- Samba Schutte is a Dutch-Mauritanian actor, comedian and writer who was born in the Sahara Desert and grew up in Ethiopia. He is known for HBO Max's Our Flag Means Death (2022) starring and executive produced by Taika Waititi. Samba starred in Sunnyside (2019) (NBC) from Mike Schur, The Tiger Hunter (2016) (Netflix), wrote for acclaimed video game Battlefield V (2018) as well as performed for award-winning games Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2019), Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (2018) and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (2017). He was also a writer and correspondent for the Dutch version of "The Daily Show" called De nieuwste show (2007). Samba speaks 4 languages: English, French, Dutch and Amharic. He got his BA in Theater at the Utrecht School of the Arts in Holland. He won the Jury & Audience Awards at the Leids Cabaret Festival, Holland's biggest national comedy competition. What followed were 3 comedy specials (Kun Min Woni An, Hakili Jambar and Je Maintiendrai) with successful tours throughout Europe, Asia and Africa.
