Australian marketing and advertising association Adma has appointed a new board, with six new members taking on state representative and board responsibilities.
The announcement:
The newly appointed board members are:
· David Bowie, Managing Director, Sas Australia and New Zealand · Chantal Walker, Marketing Director, Foxtel · Emily Amos, General Manager-Customer Engagement, Woolworths.
Also new to the Adma Board are the following state and board representatives:
· Wendy Walker, Chief Marketing Officer, iiNet (West Australia) · Julie Dormand, Managing Director, MercerBell (New South Wales) · Craig Wallis, Business Development Manager, Database Consultants Australia (Victoria).

Internet provider iiNet has launched a campaign to push its customer service and new product launches based around the slogan ‘Life upgraded’.
The campaign – created by ad agency Bwm – includes TV, cinema, radio, print, online and outdoor activity.
The company’s Cmo Wendy Walker said: “We (iiNet) love technology but it’s really always been more about how that technology can enhance people’s lives. There’s this intrinsic importance of customer experience to absolutely everything we do so when I was looking at developing a new brand campaign, I wanted to ensure that our organisational DNA was really at the heart of it.”
“This integrated campaign delivers a message about what iiNet does best. The breadth of our product offering, our passion for innovation and our focus on awesome customer service,” she said.
The campaign – created by ad agency Bwm – includes TV, cinema, radio, print, online and outdoor activity.

Advertising agency Bwm has been appointed to all creative duties on the iiNet roster, taking the whole of the business from Perth agency Meerkats where the brand was the foundation client.
The appointment returns a telco to Bwm’s portfolio after losing Telstra last year. iiNet’s chief marketing officer Wendy Walker joined from Telstra nine months ago.
Meerkats told Mumbrella that it resigned the account last week. Meerkats MD Gavin Bain said in a statement to Mumbrella: ”Over the years we have enjoyed a close, trusted and inspiring relationship with the iinet team so obviously this decision was not an easy one for us. It is a reality in our industry that relationships change and we believe it is both professional and appropriate to acknowledge when it is time for both parties to move on.
