The critical burst of momentum began last month, with Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson gossiping about a prominent Republican’s penis. It has climaxed, for now, with one the most egregiously zealous converts to the cult of authoritarian Trumpism finally on the inside track to securing a seat in the United States Senate.
J.D. Vance won Ohio’s Republican primary for Senate on Tuesday, riding Trump’s home-stretch endorsement to best fellow Maga devotee Josh Mandel and state Sen. Matt Dolan, who ran a more traditional conservative campaign while Vance...

In the days before Donald Trump endorsed J.D. Vance in Ohio’s Republican Senate primary, the former president huddled with his son, Don Jr., and several staffers at Mar-a-Lago. On the phone was Fox News host Tucker Carlson, a major ally of Vance’s.
After promising Trump that Vance was with him on the issues despite the candidate’s past anti-Trump comments, Carlson — according to three sources familiar with the matter — turned to a lurid closing argument. “You can’t trust” David McIntosh, the president of the conservative Club for...

“Once the pandemic hit, we prepared for the worst,” says David McIntosh, Director of Marketing at Tastemakers, the parent company of Arcade1Up. “We tightened up our staff, we let go of some of our external partners…as most people did. We did go into survival mode and started getting back to our roots of being a startup.”
Steeped in nostalgia, Arcade1Up has been developing and manufacturing 3/4 scale arcade cabinets of some of the most iconic arcade titles in history, releasing them through major retailers like Best Buy and Walmart since 2018. James Jordan has spoken of his shock at being booed by the Celebrity Big Brother crowd.
The former Strictly Come Dancing professional received strong boos from the live eviction crowd, who watched David McIntosh exit the house last night (August 28).
Despite claiming that he would not let being unpopular with the crowd bother him, he admitted that the booing had got to him. He speculated with fellow housemates that fans may dislike him because he winds people up, or because he spends a lot of his time with female housemates.
However, Leslie Jordan argued that James had also been mean to him, which may have also made him unpopular with viewers.
James went on to admit that he would be "f**ked off" if it was "the other thing" that had led to the booing. But when pressed by Gary Busey, James said that he could not discuss what he hinted at,...

Audley Harrison has attempted to explain why he nominated fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemate Kellie Maloney.
Big Brother sprang surprise face-to-face nominations on the housemates last night following David McIntosh's eviction.
The former boxing champion nominated Kellie, explaining that he thought she should be evicted as the world is not ready for her, and admitting that he sometimes feels uncomfortable around her due to having previously known her prior to her gender transition. Upset with his admission, Kellie refused to hear what Audley had to say.
Audley was later given a warning about his nomination reasons, prompting him to claim that he needed time to accept Kellie for who she is.
"I think anyone would be crazy to suggest that you just switch and make the adjustment, it's going to take time," he said.
This morning (August 28), Audley addressed the situation, apologising for upsetting Kellie with his nomination reasons.

There was bitter disappointment in the Celebrity Big Brother house yesterday (August 26) after its famous inhabitants failed their latest shopping task.
Gary Busey was unable to convince fellow housemates of his supposed phobia of balloons, which he was instructed to fake by Big Brother as part of an acting skill test.
The 70-year-old Point Break star entered the Phobia Test room to act out his fake fear of balloons - known as globophobia - and had to pretend to be so frightened that housemates would be compelled to press the panic button and save him.
While Stephanie Pratt showed concern for him, David McIntosh and White Dee suspected that he was acting. Audley Harrison suggested that they press the panic button, but Angelique 'Frenchy' Morgan and James Jordan seemed reluctant.

Celebrity Big Brother housemate James Jordan has admitted that he is not a fan of Frenchy.
After Frenchy saved herself from eviction and chose James to replace her, the former Strictly pro went to the Diary Room to complain to Big Brother.
"The games have begun now," he said.
James added that he is "gutted" to be facing eviction but vowed to take it on the chin if he leaves tomorrow (August 27).
However, he seemed to be angry with Frenchy, saying that it was "unfortunate" that she was in the position to pick someone to replace her and adding: "I can't stand her. I despise her as a human being."
James also later joined a conversation about Frenchy with David McIntosh and Edele Lynch, who suggested: "[Frenchy] knows she's a nutter."

Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight (August 26) at 10pm on Channel 5.

Sam Faiers has claimed that Celebrity Big Brother's Lauren Goodger may not fare well in the house.
She described her former Towie co-star as a "loose cannon", before adding that Goodger has "been through a lot in recent years".
Speaking to Ok! magazine about Goodger, Faiers said: "I don't dislike her, but she's a bit of a loose cannon. I think it could go one way or another and, unfortunately, I don't think it's going to go the best way.
"I hope it does because she's been through a lot in recent years. I hope she comes out well, but I don't know."
Goodger entered the Celebrity Big Brother house alongside the likes of Leslie Jordan, Kellie Maloney and Gary Busey last Monday (August 18).
Geordie Shore's Ricci Guarnaccio recently confessed his feelings for Goodger, but fellow contestant David McIntosh urged him to "take a step back" so he doesn't overwhelm her.

It's the day after Ricci Guarnaccio confessed his feelings to Lauren Goodger, and the Celebrity Big Brother house is full of chatter about the potential relationship.
In the garden, David McIntosh asks Ricci whether he would be as attracted to Lauren in the outside world, to which Ricci replies: "I really like her". David then advises Ricci to "take a step back", and not overwhelm her with his feelings.
Elsewhere in the house, Edele Lynch and Lauren discuss Ricci, with the former B*Witched singer telling Lauren that Ricci likes her "like that".
Despite feeling embarrassed, Lauren admits that it's "nice when someone likes you…it's quite cute".
Edele comments that it's hard to form a relationship when there's pressure involved and suggests they could get together over time.
As Lauren and Ricci continue their will they/won't they relationship, it seems they could have competition in the form of George Gilbey and Stephanie Pratt.

Fear is the name of the game in the latest Celebrity Big Brother task.
Housemates will come face to face with various phobias, but must resist pressing the panic button if they are to win the task.
What they don't know, however, is that the real task lies in the hands of Gary Busey, who must convince the others he has a huge phobia of balloons before entering a room full of them.
If housemates take pity on Gary and press the panic button on his behalf, the group will win a luxury shopping budget.
As part of the fake task, Stephanie Pratt will face the fear of smells (osmophobia) by entering a room with a perspex box full of smelly socks, raw fish, mouldy food and live flies.
Stephanie will need to move closer to the box and eventually end up inside it to pass the task.

Nominations are set in the Celebrity Big Brother house, following one housemate being saved from the Celebrity Scrapheap.
Angelique 'Frenchy' Morgan, Gary Busey, Kellie Maloney and David McIntosh have all been sent to the garden residence in recent days by 'Star of the Show' Leslie Jordan.
Celebrity Big Brother's Leslie and Kellie reconcile after argument
One housemate was given the chance to be saved from the Scrapheap earlier today (August 24), when housemates took part in the 'More or Less a Celebrity' task.
The Scrapheap residents were asked a series of questions about each other's talents and levels of fame, and were required to match Leslie's answers.
Frenchy emerged victorious in the task, and was allowed out of the Scrapheap as a reward from Big Brother.

Celebrity Big Brother's Leslie Jordan has chosen to send fellow housemate David McIntosh to the Scrapheap.
Kellie Maloney, Angelique 'Frenchy' Morgan and Gary Busey were previously banished to the garden residence by 'Star of the Show' Leslie.
Edele Lynch, Claire King and David were forced to compete against one another in a talent competition judged by Leslie earlier today (August 23).
Edele sang the B*Witched hit 'C'est La Vie', Claire acted out Romeo and Juliet and David flexed his muscles, before Leslie made his decision.
"From the heart, Edele had at her disposal many, many years of doing this routine. David has at his disposal this… body," Leslie joked.
He continued: "Claire was at somewhat of a disadvantage… As an actor, I know what it's like to do a cold read in which there are no costumes, there are no lights [and] there's no anything! You're just up there naked.

Tonight's Celebrity Big Brother will see three housemates battle it out to avoid the Scrapheap.
Edele Lynch, Claire King and David McIntosh have been voted the least entertaining housemates so must put on a performance to prove they don't belong in the Scrapheap.
They will be given 30 minutes to prepare after which they will be called on stage one at a time to put their talents on show in front of the other housemates.
Edele will be singing 'C'est La Vie', Claire will be acting out a scene from Romeo and Juliet and David will be flexing his muscles.
Leslie Jordan, who was voted 'Star of the Show', will then be given the power to decide which one will join Angelique 'Frenchy' Morgan and Gary Busey in the grim Garden residence.
The pair have already been forced to change into jumpsuits and haven't had any access to their beds or suitcases.

Celebrity Big Brother's James Jordan has been given a warning in the Diary Room after getting into another confrontation with Gary Busey.
The two were involved in an argument earlier this week when Gary questioned James if he was gay. Later, Gary said he didn't mean to "harm or defame" James and James admitted that he may have taken his comments the wrong way.
However, things became heated again later on in the week. After Gary tried to explain to James and David McIntosh that "the proper way to converse is to listen to what the other person has to say before you speak", David got annoyed that Gary pointed directly at him.
"Don't point at me... Don't hey me... I'll try and speak clearer but I don't have to speak to you, man!" fumed David. "Don't tell someone to 'Shhh' and put your finger in their face... It's starting to wind me up.

The Celebrity Big Brother housemates were feeling nauseous as Gary Busey and Stephanie Pratt took part in their disgusting toothpaste shopping task yesterday.
Gary and Stephanie competed to be cast in CBB's 'Taste Away Toothpaste' advert, with the best audition to be selected by Celebrity Agents Leslie Jordan and Kellie Maloney.
The toothpaste promised to not only keep your teeth clean, but to make unpleasant foods taste pleasant.
Sadly for Gary and Stephanie, the toothpaste was actually wasabi paste, and the pair were then subjected to eating jellied eels and extra hot curry washed down with a white wine vinegar and fishy milkshake (Stephanie almost got her donkey balls).
Despite the fact that Stephanie was sick during the task, her audition was picked by Leslie and Kellie and will be made available to view on social media sites. If they accrue enough hits collectively, the housemates will pass their task and secure their shopping list.
