Fans of Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch Season 19 know Johnathan Hillstrand well. The fisherman has been part of the series for years, and he once was the captain of the F/V Time Bandit. However, the series no longer features the Time Bandit. So, where is the fishing vessel in 2023? Here’s what to know about the crab fishing boat and what Hillstrand has mentioned about it in the past.
Where is the F/V Time Bandit from ‘Deadliest Catch’ in 2023?
Fans keeping up with Deadliest Catch Season 19 continue to see some of their favorite fishing vessels out at sea. But several boats that were once featured are no longer in the show. Johnathan Hillstrand’s boat, the F/V Time Bandit, no longer makes appearances in the Discovery Channel reality series despite having regular appearances from seasons 2 through 13 and then again in seasons 17, 18, and 19.
So, what happened to the Time Bandit?...

The American Cinema Editors have taken the time when most of us are still enjoying a little bit of downtime before truly getting back into the swing of things this new year to announce the film and television nominees for the 65th Annual Ace Eddie Awards. Among the nominees are a couple of personal favorites in Whiplash (Tom Cross) and The Imitation Game (William Goldbenbrrg). I also think something must be said for Boyhood, though editing a film over the course of 12 years doesn't really leave much wiggle room. You're essentially editing 12 short films because once you're a year removed... you're a year removed. There are six nominees in the Best Edited Feature Film (Dramatic) category as a result of a tie providing for one additional nominee for the second time ever. Among the comedy/musical nominees I would like to believe The Grand Budapest Hotel (Barney Pilling) would be the front-runner,...

Maybe you have the day off, are still recovering from New Year's Eve, or are lucky enough to have a few more days to relax before returning to work on Monday, but the awards season can't waste a moment. This morning, the American Cinema Editors gang revealed their nominees for the 65th Annual Ace Eddie Awards, and there's a small bit of history-making going on in 2015. For the second time ever, voting has resulted in a tie, meaning there are six nominees in the Dramatic category instead of the usual five. Meanwhile, the Comedy/Musical category also allows for more films to get recognized, even if come Oscar time they likely won't make the cut ("Guardians Of The Galaxy," we're looking at you). Over in the television category, "True Detective" dominates the Dramatic One-Hour series category with two entries, including the seminal episode "The Secret Fate Of All Life." And...

Other nominees for the top dramatic film honor at the awards known as the Ace/Eddies are “American Sniper,” “Gone Girl,” “The Imitation Game,” “Nightcrawler” and “Whiplash.” The category had six nominees instead of five because of a tie.

If you were looking for things to be shaken up a little bit in this year's Oscar race, the American Cinema Editors (Ace) offered a slight jolt Friday with the organization's 65th annual list of nominees for film editing. And if you were wondering if "Nightcrawler" might make a serious play on the circuit, well… I will say I was wondering that. So much so that I had a piece prepped focusing on its potential before today's announcement, which included the film in a dramatic feature category that featured a tie for the first time ever. (The animated field saw a tie yielding four nominees in 2012, while "Babel" and "The Departed" actually tied for the dramatic win in 2006, but there hasn't been a tie leading to an extra nominee in the dramatic or comedy/musical categories before.) Powerhouse Oscar players "Boyhood" and "The Imitation Game" unsurprisingly joined the party, and ditto Sundance hit "Whiplash.

Discovery Channel’s Emmy-winning reality show Deadliest Catch returns April 22, and as you’ll see in our exclusive first-look at the premiere’s cold open, which previews the landmark tenth season, there is no shortage of compelling stories. Josh Harris has the Cornelia Marie back crabbing, Sig Hansen has his 18-year-old daughter Mandy working on the Northwestern, boats are seen on fire and flooding, someone is heard yelling, “Man down! Man down! Man down!,” and both the Coast Guard and the Alaska State Troopers make appearances. “You, of course, want your tenth season to be awesome, like any other. But...

When it's not battling wild autumn and winter weather fishing for crab on Alaska's Bering Sea, the fleet of boats featured on Discovery's reality hit "Deadliest Catch," which recently ended its ninth season, keeps busy with other fisheries.
The F/V Time Bandit -- captained for crab by owners and brothers Andy and Johnathan Hillstrand -- is currently seeking salmon off the Panhandle of Alaska in the southeast of the state.
According to a report from the news division of Juneau public-radio station Ktoo, the Time Bandit was near Dall Island, on the outer coast of the southern end of Prince Edward Island, at about 4:30 a.m. local time on Wednesday, Aug. 14.
At about the same time, the Coral Sea, a 56-foot seiner -- a fishing boat that deploys nets -- ran aground.
The Time Bandit responded to the distress call, reaching the Coral Sea, which was partially underwater.
