- In 2010, Joshua King became the youngest known harmonica player to play harmonica live and act as a principle actor in an Off-Broadway show when he appeared in the role of 'Tay' in a Cool Dip in the Barren Saharan Crick at Playwright's Horizons in New York City. Playwright Kia Corthron changed the script to include his harmonica after being inspired by his music.

- In August 2010, Joshua King made his international musical debut singing and playing harmonica alongside blues legend James Cotton at Canada's Dutch Mason Blues Festival. With nearly 18,000 in attendance, it was a performance like no other that earned an enthusiastic standing ovation from fans of all ages before sets by Jonny Lang and Robert Cray.
