Yesterday we began our countdown of the best ever TV kisses after an office vote, including the likes of The X-Files, Dawson's Creek and Cheers.
Today, we conclude our poll to find the ultimate TV kiss, and please vote in our poll to select your own choice. If your favourite hasn't made the cut, please leave us a comment below.
The definitive Top 25 TV kisses of all time: 25-11
10. Kirk and Uhura in Star Trek
Sure, it's not the long, drawn-out payoff of a will-they-won't-they sitcom, and you'd be hard pushed to find a less romantic kiss on this list, but for what it represents in the wider cultural history of 1960s America and the extraordinary story behind the day of the shoot, it's hard to beat Captain Kirk and Uhura's iconic Star Trek smooch. As one of the first interracial kisses on national television - and certainly the most...

If you have this strange urge to listen to Death Cab and read comic books today, there's a reason: 10 years ago, on Aug. 5, 2003, "The O.C." premiered on Fox.
Seminal hardly begins to describe the impact Josh Schwartz's coming-of-age series had on popular culture. The first season exploded through the zeitgeist like a comet, helping user in the age of geek rule while also turning indie rock acts like Rooney, The Killers and the aforementioned Death Cab for Cutie into required listening for emo kids of all ages.
"The first six or seven episodes was really literally stuff off of my iPod," Schwartz told HitFix writer Alan Sepinwall in a new interview. "Some of the bands that we reached out to were these indie rock bands, and that was all we could afford. A lot of these bands probably would have had deeper reservations about having their music debut on a Fox teen soap,...

Although The Eastern Sea has worked hard all year touring in support sophomore album Plague, the Austin-based band certainly isn’t winding down for the holiday season. First Christmas, the band’s third album, is set for release on Nov. 27 and will feature two original Christmas tunes as well as new renditions of old classics. Amidst a swarm of peppy Christmas releases this winter, First Christmas serves as a more relaxing soundtrack to the annual holiday bustle. You can listen to First Christmas, which was produced by Louie Lino (Nada Surf, Matt Pond Pa) in the player below....

Don't let the indie-centric headline fool you. While "The Vow" soundtrack will make iPod toting hipsters happy with its tracklist, it reaches all the way for one of the biggest love songs of all time to kick things off. That's right, we're talking about Meat Loaf's "I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)." But once that song is out of the way (mercifully delivered in a single edit), the tunes brought together for the Channing Tatum/Rachel McAdams romantic drama are a pretty decent bunch. Everyone's favorite sadsacks The National provide "England," though they try keep their cool factor intact by only making it available on the digital version of the disc. Our fave Swedish songstress Lykke Li delivers "Get Some" off her latest album, while Matt Pond Pa hands over "Specks." Meanwhile, roots rockers Phosphorescent dig in for "Nothing Was Stolen (Love Me Foolishly)" while any soundtrack to.

The Wooden Birds are on fire. They teased their recently released second album, "Two Matchsticks," with an Ep that featured covers of two radically different, yet equally brilliant songs -- Hall & Oates' lusty "Maneater" and Kenny Rogers and the First Edition's forlorn, "Ruby Don't Take Your Love To Town."
The third track on that Ep was the ditty, "Two Matchsticks," which is also the full length album's title track, and its artfully menacing video (below) was created by animator Justin Goldwater. The Wooden Birds' spark and jangle is crafted by frontman Andrew Kenny (American Analog Set, Broken Social Scene), Sean Haskins, Leslie Sisson and Matt Pond (Matt Pond Pa). The album also features special guests, Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard and members of Ola Podrida. "Two Matchsticks" is out now on Barsuk.
The Wooden Birds On Tour:
6/17 - Los Angeles, CA @ The Echo (18+)
6/18 - San Diego, CA @ Soda Bar (21+)
