Match #1: “Big” Bronson Reed def. Otis The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
With the ring reinforced, “Big” Bronson Reed took on Alpha Academy’s Otis in a clash of gargantuan Superstars. Reed was able to withstand Otis’ tree trunk girth, dispatching him with the Tsunami.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Tommaso Ciampa def. Ludwig Kaiser The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Tommaso Ciampa took the next step in facing Intercontinental Champion Gunther as he defeated Ludwig Kaiser. Kaiser nearly won the match, however, after he took advantage of Ciampa attacking Giovanni Vinci. But Kaiser could not get the win as the referee was distracted with Vinci’s injury. Kaiser then threw out his own teammate hoping to get the win.

It feels a little strange to say this in August, but the 2023 Streamy Awards are officially over, and they handed out a grand total of 50 awards to this year’s top creators.
This was the first year Tubefilter and dick clark productions held Streamys in the summertime, but the change of season didn’t mean everything changed: For the fourth time in a row, MrBeast took home Creator of the Year, and for the second time in a row, Kai Cenat snagged Streamer of the Year.
As for Show of the Year, that went to Michelle Khare and her daredevil series Challenge Accepted.
This year’s ceremony was hosted by MatPat, and featured dozens of presenters, including Dylan Mulvaney, Ryan Trahan, The Try Guys‘ Keith Habersberger and Zach Kornfeld, Smosh‘s Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox, TikTok Npc streamer Pinkydoll, Colin and Samir, Dream, Michelle Khare, Anna Sitar, Austin Creed,...

In only their second match as a team, Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle took on the seasoned New Day. After a huge top-rope fisherman’s suplex, Riddle and McIntyre were rolling, contending well with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods’ tag team chemistry. Before they were able to get going, however, The Viking Raiders clobbered McIntyre, which opened the way for The New Day to gain the victory after a Trouble in Paradise connected with Riddle.

Match #1: Intercontinental Title No. 1 Contender Match – Chad Gable def. Matt Riddle, Ricochet and Tomasso Ciampa The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
In his home state of Minnesota, Chad Gable took on Ricochet, Matt Riddle and Tommaso Ciampa to see who would become the next challenger for Intercontinental Champion Gunther. As The Ring General was watching, the four competitors combined for a jaw-dropping tower of doom that left Ricochet stunned. Ricochet and Gable almost become double winners as they hit a simultaneous shooting star press and frog splash onto Ciampa and Riddle. After a frenetic pace with all four Superstars wowing the WWE Universe, Gable locked up the win with a Chaos Theory Suplex onto Ciampa.

Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Karrion Kross, Xavier Woods and LA Knight collided in this Fatal 5-Way Match for a chance at Gunther’s Intercontinental Title. The match broke down almost as soon as it began, with all five competitors taking the action to the outside. With five competitors, it was no surprise that alliances were quick to occur with Knight and Kross combining to make a unique combo. Nick Cannon set social media ablaze earlier this week when he revealed a big announcement was coming, ultimately quashing suspicions he was announcing he’d fathered his 13th child by revealing he’ll be hosting a new Kevin Hart-hosted game show called “Who’s Having My Baby?”, in which female contestants compete to see which of them will be lucky enough to be the next woman for Cannon to impregnate.
“Expect some big news tomorrow … ,” he wrote on Monday in an Instagram Story post.

That was followed by his “Who’s Having My Baby?” reveal.
“You’re going to get some contestants that want to have your baby,” Hart explained in a short promo clip for the E! game show that was shared by Cannon on Instagram on Tuesday.

Kevin Hart announced his latest project, Celebrity Prank Wars, on Wednesday following a viral bit joking about Nick Cannon and the various women who are mothers to his children.
The show, which premieres April 6, will see the duo take their “friendly feud” up a notch, with Hart and Cannon branching out to also include some of their famous friends.
Episodes will see stars “planning and perpetrating some of the wildest and most viral pranks on each other,” according to the network, with co-hosts Cannon and Hart selecting the winner of each prank war. Each prank is expected to be more elaborate than the next. The show’s celebrity participants will include Anthony Anderson, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Lil Duval, Big E, Fantasia, Tiffany Haddish, Taraji P. Henson, Lil Jon, Kofi Kingston, Ludacris, Joel McHale, Killer Mike, Chance the Rapper, T-Pain, Robin Thicke, T.I. and Xavier Woods.

After a chaotic back-and-forth, the Intercontinental Champion and The Monster Among Men stood toe-to-toe in the ring trading chops and punches. Match #1: Nxt North American Championship Match – Wes Lee def. Dijak The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Dijak promised that Hard Justice was coming, but Wes Lee proved himself to be a worthy champion. The bruising challenger was more than formidable, using his clubbing strikes and his size advantage to ground the high-flying Lee and keep the raucous crowd from backing the champ. Kofi Kingston has attended countless WWE events like the WWE 2K23 hands-on party in San Antonio during Royal Rumble weekend. Even after 16 years with the organization, he still gets a buzz from appearing in a videogame or being Nxt tag team champion with his New Day brother Xavier Woods. Kingston appreciates each high moment knowing the rollercoaster ride he has been on in his career. One minute riding high on “KofiMania” and the next getting decimated by Brock Lesnar. Today Kingston and partner Woods are gearing up for a fatal-four-way title defense against some of Nxt’s emerging superstars at the Vengeance Day premium live event on Peacock on February 4. The 41-year-old takes pride in helping emerging talent on Tuesday nights. At the same time, he isn’t quite ready to fully hand over the torch. We caught up with Kingston ahead of New Day’s big challenge. As we...

To borrow a phrase from the current Nxt Tag Team champions Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, at DC Studios under the guidance of James Gunn and Peter Safran, "it's a new day, yes it is." Ever since the duo was appointed as the co-chairs and co-CEOs of the company and were given the responsibilities of overseeing all DC film, television, and animation projects back in October 2022, they have been hard at work compiling a plan for the future to present to Warner Bros. Discovery head David Zaslav. Part of that preparation period has included clearing out projects that no longer fit in their live-action theatrical release slate like Patty Jenkins' "Wonder Woman 3," shelving others for the time being (or longer) like "Black Adam 2" starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and announcing new ones like a Superman movie written by Gunn that does not star Henry Cavill.
However, all this planning...

Match #1: Ricochet def. Mustafa Ali The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The first round of the SmackDown World Cup on Fox Tournament continued as two of the biggest high-flyers in Mustafa Ali and Ricochet battled on the ground and in the air. Ali, already nursing injuries stemming from the beatdown he suffered at the hands of Bobby Lashley on Monday Night Raw, clearly was not at 100 percent but still took the fight to Ricochet. Top-rope offense, including a backstabber and a superplex, put Ricochet in complete control, and it continued with a Michinoku driver on the outside of the ring. A valiant Ali nearly caught Ricochet with a 450 splash, but Ricochet rolled out of the way and finished off Ali with a shooting star press.

With history on the line, The New Day were hoping to keep hold of their record run as tag team champions, and they brought everything they had to the titleholders. The Usos isolated Kofi Kingston from Xavier Woods, not allowing Kingston to tag him in. When Kingston eventually tagged in Woods, the former King of the Ring was a house on fire, almost capturing the titles after a flurry of offense. A huge top-rope leg drop from Woods nearly sealed the deal, but Jimmy kicked out at 2.9 repeating. The Usos had a heart-pounding moment of their own, as Woods kicked out of a massive Double Uso Splash.

When Butch climbed to the top rope, Jey failed to understand that Zayn was playing possum to his ascending opponent. Thinking he was helping, Jey opted to pull The Honorary Uce out of the ring. A frustrated Zayn wasted time arguing with the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion, and when Ridge Holland took out Jey and Solo Sikoa, Sami finally reengaged Butch and immediately fell victim to the small package for the loss.

G4, the Comcast Spectacor-owned cable channel dedicated to gaming, has shut down — again.
Dave Scott, the Comcast Spectacor chairman and CEO, broke the news to the G4 staff in a memo circulated on Sunday. (IndieWire obtained the note; it’s posted below.) Comcast Spectacor is the sports- and entertainment-focused subsidiary of Comcast that owns the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers and used to own the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers. Forty-five staffers at G4 lost their jobs immediately as a result of the decision.
The shutdown comes just under a year since the channel’s relaunch last November. The channel’s relaunch — first announced in July 2020 — followed seven dormant years for the gaming channel, which first began in 2002. The early version of the network was operated by G4 Media, a joint venture between Comcast and NBC Universal Cable.

G4 is shutting down — again.
Comcast Spectacor, the cable and entertainment giant’s sports and esports division, told G4 TV employees Sunday that the gaming network was shutting down effective immediately. The decision has resulted in 45 staff members of G4 TV losing their jobs.
In a memo, obtained by Variety, Comcast Spectacor chairman and CEO Dave Scott cited low viewership and said the network had not achieved “sustainable financial results.”
“Over the past several months, we worked hard to generate that interest in G4, but viewership is low and the network has not achieved sustainable financial results,” Scott wrote. “This is certainly not what we hoped for, and, as a result, we have made the very difficult decision to discontinue G4’s operations, effective immediately.“
Comcast Spectacor in July 2020 said it would reboot G4 TV, which NBCUniversal shut down in 2013 (after the network first launched in 2002). Russell Arons, the former Warner Bros.,...

Match #1: Liv Morgan def. Lacey Evans The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Focused on proving her Extreme side en route to her Extreme Rules Match against Ronda Rousey on Oct. 8, SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan looked to make Lacey Evans eat her words in a tough showdown. Evans attempted to use a Kendo stick, but Liv avoided the attack and hit the Oblivion for the victory. After the bell, Morgan unleashed a vicious post-match Kendo stick attack on her fallen opponent before driving Evans through a table with an earth-shattering flying Senton off the turnbuckle to send an Extreme message to The Baddest Woman on the Planet.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: The New Day def. Maximum Male Models The following is courtesy of wwe.

A press release describes Woods (whose real name is Austin Watson) as an “avid gamer.” On UpUpDownDown, he will lead at least five different weekly series, with guests from the wrestling and YouTube communities joining him along the way. The series are all based off tried-and-true formats that have become popular on YouTube. Mondays, for example, will be devoted to “Let’s Play” videos, while a Friday series called Jump Scares focuses on horror games like Five Nights at Freddy’s.
