Kellyanne Conway and the Fox News “Big Weekend Show” crew gushed over Martha Stewart’s appearance on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue – which inspired the former Donald Trump senior advisor to do some revealing of her own.
“I think she looks hot!” Conway said on Saturday’s edition. “And good for her for doing that, good for Sports Illustrated for putting her on one of the four covers … the old saying is true – now that I’m an old lady I want to say it – ‘Youth is wasted on the young.'”
Host Will Cain was talking about “The Golden Bachelor” coming to ABC this fall when he segued to the Si cover, making Stewart the oldest model to grace the cover in history.

Hakeem Jeffries (D-n.Y.), the soon-to-be House minority leader, has been telling his fellow Democratic lawmakers to think of the next two years this way: The White House is the client, House Democrats are the defense attorney. Indeed, the Biden administration has huddled a coterie of legal, legislative, and communications specialists to map out likely vectors of GOP oversight and will hire more into the effort. Ashley Etienne, who led House Democrats’ impeachment war room, has dispatched top protégés to communications posts at federal agencies Republicans have indicated they’re...

A night after NBC’s Seth Meyers called out Sean Hannity and Fox News for their ongoing opposition to gun law reform, the Fox News Channel personality launched a tirade against the NBC Late Night host, chastising Meyers for name-calling before name-calling him a “limousine liberal, socialist, hypocritical asshole.”
“And you are not funny, ever,” Hannity zinged.
What set off the Donald Trump loyalist was Meyers’ Wednesday night “Closer Look” segment examining gun violence and the recent mass shootings in Boulder and Atlanta. Meyers lambasted “a small minority of sociopaths with outsized power in politics who stand in the way when the rest of us try to do something about it,” and criticized Hannity for only “briefly mentioning” the Boulder shooting during his program.
Hannity took the bait. “You want to call me sociopathic, which you have called many others before, like Trump, like Karl Rove, you use the word a lot,...

U.S. news outlets scrambled to cover the nation’s attack on a top Iran military official by shaking up normal programming schedules, even as they had to work around the holiday vacation schedules of some of their best known correspondents.
MSNBC brought Rachel Maddow back to its schedule at midnight eastern on Friday, assigning her an extra hour after her regular 9 p.m. hour had already broadcast. Maddow, who typically spends hours researching and writing her segments, moved to breaking-news mode for her second effort. At Fox News, Sean Hannity, the network’s most-watched host, phoned in to his own program, which was being guest-hosted by former U.S. Representative Jason Chaffetz. CNN’s Anderson Cooper found his on-air tenure extended, as his regular 8 p.m. show, “Anderson Cooper 360,” took up two hours rather than its usual one.

In the 9 p.m. Et hour, Fox News’ Hannity, guest-hosted by former Gop Rep. Jason Chaffetz of Utah, was the first to devote blanket coverage to the news of the killing of Qasem Soleimani, head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force, which the U.S. has designated as a terrorist organization. Host Sean Hannity called in to the show, which ran a banner that said, “Sources to Hannity: Trump & Advisers Prepared for All Scenarios After Strike Kills Iranian Commander.”

You’ve just suffered a major defeat, and now you’re surrounded. The enemy is gearing up for a charge. Your leaders are readying the surrender flags. Things are looking grim. So what do you do? Well, we decided to write a Google Doc.
In December 2016, our Google Doc in was called “Indivisible: A Practical Guide to Resisting the Trump Agenda.” As two former congressional staffers, we thought we might be able to help demystify congress a bit and tell people how they could use their own constituent power to fight back against Trumpism.

Fox News personalities Raymond Arroyo and Jason Chaffetz are perplexed as to why Bernie Sanders would sit down to talk politics with Cardi B.
The Democratic presidential candidate and the Grammy-winning rapper discussed the 2020 election last month at a Detroit nail salon. The video, released this week by the Sanders’ campaign, showed Cardi B interviewing the White House hopeful about wages, jobs, immigration, racism, police brutality, and other issues.
[Watch the Sanders interview below]
Fox News contributor Arroyo dissected the interview last night in the “Friday Follies” segment of The Ingraham Angle.
“This has to be the weirdest pairing of the week,” he said.
Former Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz, who was sitting in for host Laura Ingraham laughed, and referred to the rapper as “Sanders’ latest campaign sidekick.”
The pair tossed to a social media video in which the Bronx rapper, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, asked what the government was doing with her “f**king tax money.

At a rally in Ohio this week, President Donald Trump went after a familiar target: the late Senator John McCain. “I have to be honest, I never liked him much,” the president told his crowd at the General Dynamics plant in Lima. “Probably never will.” (Trump seemed particularly galled that he never got a “thank you” for giving McCain “the kind of funeral that he wanted.”)
Baffling as the attack might seem to someone who wasn’t conditioned to years of Trump’s rambling, extemporaneous grievance-airings, the attack barely registered in Washington.

Jason Chaffetz, Katie Pavlich, Brian Kilmeade and Pete Hegseth to Sub for Laura Ingraham on Fox News
Fox News Channel will use Laura Ingraham’s vacation this week to give more air time to four other staffers. Jason Chaffetz, Katie Pavlich, Brian Kilmeade and Pete Hegseth are expected to fill in for the host on “The Ingraham Angle,” according to the network.
They will also likely draw other kinds of viewership. A handful of advertisers ranging from Nestle to Ibm have said they’ve moved their advertising out of Ingraham’s 10 p.m. hour in the wake of an ongoing controversy spurred by a Twitter post she made mocking Parkland, Florida shooting survivor David Hogg. Ingraham has since apologized, but the teenager spurned her efforts, urging his social-media followers to pressure advertisers to abandon her program.
Ingraham told viewers during her Friday-night broadcast that she was taking a pre-planned vacation with her children.
The three contributors are likely to hew close to Fox News usual primetime efforts.
