I was initially skeptical that The Mere Wife would suit my usual genre-heavy reading tastes. As it turns out,...

Each season of FX’s anthology series, American Horror Story, leaves behind a lot of questions for the viewers. Well, it turns out the actors also need some answers, too!
Et caught up with the cast of American Horror Story: Roanoke at PaleyFest in Los Angeles over the weekend, where they spilled nine questions they still have from the series’ first six seasons.
1. What was the deal with those aliens from Asylum?
FX
Mysterious aliens popped in and out of season two of the show, but their connection to the greater story was never really revealed. They seemingly abducted Kit (Evan Peters) at the end of the season with little to no explanation as to why.
“What happened with that weird monster that had a face like a vagina?” Sarah Paulson asks. “Do you remember that? It had a full, like, gaping vag face. It was weird. I wanna know what happened there? What happened...

Sarah Paulson truly shines in Freak Show, a series that has a great deal else to recommend it, too...
This review contains spoilers.
4.2 Massacres And Matinees
Sarah Paulson is phenomenal. She's been a bit of a workman over the years, putting in solid performances in thankless roles like that of Cordelia Foxx in Coven, but this season she's really showing off what she can do by taking on a very difficult bit of work: playing two roles at once. Bette and Dot are similar enough in look, but completely different in personality, and not only does Paulson have to act out both of them, she has to make it look convincing when playing against herself. Plus, she's got a very good singing voice.
Paulson's expressions and visual tics are really well thought-out. Bette and Dot are two different people who share the same body, and they may be twins, but...
