Welcome back to Let’s Scare Bryan to Death! This month, we’re taking a trip to Norway for the beautiful seaside views, the lovely seafood, and the underwater monster-worshiping cults! We get all this and more from Andy Collier and Tor Mian’s 2020 film Sacrifice, and our guide is author Paul Kane, whose short story “Men of the Cloth” is the basis for the film. You might know Kane as the award-winning author and editor of over a hundred books, including the Arrowhead trilogy, The Butterfly Man and Other Stories, Hellbound Hearts, Wonderland, and Pain Cages. He’s also a longtime non-fiction writer and journalist with bylines in SFX, Rue Morgue and DeathRay. You can check out the latest and greatest at his website.
Kane’s pick this month follows Emma and Isaac Pickman (Sophie Stevens and Ludovic Hughes), a young, expecting couple visiting a small town in Norway...

On April 16th, 2011, Motor City Nightmares Film Festival will be the scene for the world premiere of the latest short film by award-winning director Mark Steensland, based on a short story by Paul Kane (The Hellraiser Films and Their Legacy and Hellbound Hearts). Kane was also the writer of Dead Time, adapted into one of the better episodes of NBC's short-lived series "Fear Itself" (New Years Day).

Personally, I think think the combo of Stephen "Evil Ed" Geoffreys (Fright Night) and music by composer Fabio Frizzi (City of the Living Dead, Zombie, The Beyond) is more than enough for any horror fan to invest their time in the 7-minute short.
Even the most A.D.D.-riddled horror fans.
Speaking of Frizzi, you can find the soundtrack for this film on iTunes.

Fangoria: Alright Steve, horror writer extraordinaire, put down the pencil for a second and talk to us horror fans.
Steve Niles: Pencil? What is this, 1901?
Fangoria: You’re in high demand right now! How many projects are you working on as of this interview?
Steve Niles: I have severe freelancer disease. I am incapable of saying no to work. Right now I’m wrapping a new novel and about six new comic series for the next few years. I’ve been working on a video I’m doing most of them with Idw and Wildstorm. Can’t say much now but it’s all new and some really different stuff for me. Film-wise, I waiting for the first draft of a Criminal MacAbre script from Kyle Ward for Universal, reading a...
