Exclusive: Kitty Walshe, the CEO of Rdf Group and Your Home Made Perfect producer Remarkable Factual, is exiting after eight years, with the pair of Banijay labels set to merge.
A redundancy consultation process is currently taking place and a number of staff are expected to be laid off, with the newly-merged label badged Rdf. Walshe’s decision to leave preceded the merger decision. Rdf West MD Jo Scarratt-Jones and London boss Meredith Chambers will remain with the company.

Walshe joined from Twofour almost a decade ago to shepherd Remarkable Factual before adding Crystal Maze and Only Connect producer Rdf to her roster in 2021. Remarkable Factual makes the likes of Your Home Made Perfect, the BBC’s VR format hosted by Angela Scanlon in which technology and innovative architects turn ordinary houses into dream homes.

The One Show host Alex Jones has claimed she split with ex Steve Jones over a betrayal involving Angelina Jolie.
Alex, who dated fellow TV presenter Steve from 1999 to 2002, recorded an appearance on Dish podcast with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, in which she revealed the lengths her former partner went to prevent her from getting an interview with the Hollywood star – an alleged betrayal that led to their break-up.
The presenter spoke about the situation in response to a question written by the podcast’s production team before recording began. It was: “Did you ever get revenge on Steve Jones for that stunt he pulled on Rise?”
Alex replied: “I’ll definitely answer it. So long, long story short, back in the day I was an entertainment correspondent on Rise, and Angelina Jolie was coming on to be interviewed.”

The One Show host Alex Jones has claimed her ex Steve Jones once lied to stop her from interviewing Angelina Jolie.
Alex, who dated fellow TV presenter Steve from 1999 to 2002, recorded an appearance on Dish podcast with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, in which she revealed the lengths her former partner went to prevent her from getting the interview gig – a betrayal that led to their break-up.
At the time, Alex was working as an entertanment correspondent for the Channel 4 series Rise.
The Welsh presenter said the opportunity to interview the Mr and Mrs Smith actor arose, but Steve told her bosses that she was sick when she was actually just out at the shops.
“Normally, they would call in the morning and ask to come and do an interview or a junket,” MailOnline reports Alex as explaining on a forthcoming episode of the podcast.

Exclusive: The UK has a long history of producing hit property shows such as Kevin McCloud’s Grand Designs and Phil and Kirstie’s Location, Location, Location. The BBC is now moving into the virtual reality-led future with its latest format in the genre.
I understand that the British public broadcaster has ordered Watch This Space from Endemol Shine’s Remarkable Television. For the first time on British television, cutting edge Vr technology and visual effects will be used in a property format, transforming ordinary homes with unique designs.
Hosted by Robot Wars’ Angela Scanlon, the eight-part series, which will air on BBC Two, will see two couples who disagree about the best designs for their home work with architects Laura Clark and Robert Jamison. The pair will produce two conflicting briefs and then the homeowners will be able to “step into” the redesigned properties using the Vr tech. Through...

Series 9 will feature a new competition format, which is set to include both Robot Redemption and a magnificent-sounding Ten Robot Rumble - a fight to the death between ten robots, with no time limit, which will decide who'll snatch the wildcard for the Grand Final.

Few robots are left standing in the latest, ultra-destructive episode of Robot Wars…
This review contains spoilers.

It’s somewhat in the lap of the gods, the entertainment value of any given episode of Robot Wars. If they smile upon the arena, the spinners spin and the crushers crush and we all have a jolly old time of it. Every so often though, things just never quite get going. Drive motors burn out, bots are immobilised after a single collision, and it all ends not with a bang but a whimper.
When that happens, it’s the job of the production team to string out the pre and post-bout interviews and make up for the thrills absent in the arena...

If you don’t watch Robot Wars then you definitely should. It’s about as high a competitive filled show as there is on television. While we’re still waiting on Robot Wars to get to U.S. television it’s alive and well on BBC. On Sunday night’s show, Team Behemoth which is made up of four adults went head to head with Team Cherub, a group of three children and their guardian. But when presenter Angela Scanlon announced that Team Behemoth had lost, Ant the team captain stormed off camera muttering “whatever” under his breath. He could be seen handing the robot’s controller

Here’s what I love about Robot Wars - the people. Forget gear boxes and weaponry; this is a show about human beings and the lengths to which they’ll go to achieve their dreams.
It is ‘dreams’ plural rather than singular too. Not all Robot Wars contestants share the same goal. Some, like twenty-five grand armour-plated Rapid, obviously enter because they fancy their chances in the grand final. Others,...
