CBS has decided not to move forward with its gender-flipped “Early Edition” reboot project after completing the pilot, Variety has learned.
The original ’90s drama “Early Edition” starred Kyle Chandler as a man who magically received tomorrow’s edition of the Chicago Sun-Times today, delivered to his door each morning by a mysterious ginger tabby cat. His knowledge of the future then gave him the chance to change it for the better.
In the rebooted version, ambitious but uncompromising journalist Beth (Alice Eve) starts receiving tomorrow’s newspaper today. She then finds herself in the complicated business of changing the news instead of reporting it.
Beth is further described as the executive producer of Ksea, a local Seattle TV news station. A journalist/investigative reporter since she was a kid, Beth is very focused on getting the story no matter what, which sometimes puts her at odds with her beloved mentor,...

Everything has a beginning and an end. Grimm spinoff makes for a new start.
“We shall see the crumbs of bread, and they will show us our way home again,” Hänsel and Gretel assured each other before flaking out with a witch in the woods. A fractured fairy tale is putting the pieces back together for a comeback. NBC is developing a Grimm spinoff which will feature a female Grimm, according to Variety.

The as-yet-untitled Grimm spinoff will be written and executive produced by Melissa Glenn. It will be produced by Universal TV and Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner’s studio-based Hazy Mills Productions. If the spinoff is picked up to series, the original series...

NBC is not done with the Grimm franchise quite yet.
According to Deadline, a new series set in the same universe as the network's hit series is in the works.
The project would be penned by Melissa Glenn (Marvel's Iron Fist) and would center on a female Grimm "building off the mythology of the original series."
The most exciting part of the report is that the door will be left open to bring in some fan-favorites from the original series, which would likely sweeten the deal for fans of the franchise.
While the project will follow a female Grimm, no actors are attached to any of the roles at this moment in time, with more details set to be revealed down the line.

4.6 Door Number Three
It's interesting to see Falling Skies leaning increasingly on its history to bring back tidbits from the past and make them relevant to the current events. In the case of Lexi Mason-Glass (Glass-Mason?), it's wise of the show and writer Melissa Glenn to bring back elements from all sides of the Mason family to tie things in the fourth season to those in the first three. After all, there have been a lot of suspicious elements throughout Falling Skies, most of which have to do with various Mason entanglements with the Espheni or their agents.
Tom spent a significant time on board the space craft of the Espheni, and even spent time with them during his time in the concentration camp. Ben...

Revolution, Season 1, Episode 16: “The Love Boat”

Revolution is not so much about bad guy-of-the-week as it is weapon of mass destruction-of-the-week. Following a nuclear threat a couple of weeks ago, the big bad facing the rebels is that of anthrax.
Needless to say, they snuff it out, but fail to advance anything in the process beyond showing that Miles Matheson is still a ruthless bastard at heart and will do whatever it takes for the greater good after threatening the anthrax manufacturer’s family.
It takes us on yet another minor sidequest to the main plot, which is some kind of struggle between the rebels and the Monroe Republic. Probably. There’s too much stuffing to really push forward the thrust of the show, and beyond the very brief heist sequence where the gang...
