The three founding members of Bananarama spent many cruel summers apart since Sibohan Fahey left the group in 1988. But after almost 30 years, the ladies have reunited to hit the road together for the first time.
“It just seemed like such a tragedy that we hadn’t done it when we shared sort of the prime years,” Keren Woodward tells People of never getting to tour with Fahey. “This is just a proper celebration of that period.”
Woodward, 56, and fellow Bananarama cofounder Sara Dallin went on to release numerous albums and tour together, joined by Jacquie O’Sullivan from 1988–91. Meanwhile, Fahey...

It might be a relatively new institution, but Halloween Week on The X Factor is always guaranteed to bring us brilliant performances - and some nightmare-inducing ones, too. It was, after all, Halloween Week which brought us Gary Barlow's infamous "fag ash breath" comment.
With our current batch of contestants hurriedly preparing their scariest songs, and once we got over the disappointment of discovering Jedward's 'Ghostbusters' was actually in Movie Week, we picked out 12 memorable Halloween Week performances from years gone by in no particular order...
1. Cher Lloyd - 'Stay'
This is how you shake it off! Cher was getting all sorts of criticism for being fond of an old rap or two, so she came out on Halloween Week to prove she could sing with a performance of the belter 'Stay' by Shakespears Sister. The vocals were slightly shaky at times but that didn't really matter because...

Rachel Riley has been voted out of Strictly Come Dancing.
The Countdown star is the fifth celebrity to leave the competition, following Deborah Meaden's departure last week.
Abbey Clancy and her partner Aljaž Skorjanec surprisingly found themselves in the bottom two with Riley and Pasha Kovalev, after the judges' scores and viewers' votes were combined.
The two couples repeated their dances from Saturday to fight to stay in the competition, with Riley and Kovalev performing an American smooth to 'I Put a Spell On You'. Clancy and Skorjanec performed their rumba to 'Stay' by Shakespears Sister.
Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli each chose to save Clancy, with head judge Len Goodman agreeing that he would also have sent Riley home.
Looking back at her time on the show, Riley said: "I haven't cried until now, I have made some amazing friends. I really enjoyed tonight, I...

Paije Richardson was voted off 'The X Factor' last night (21.11.10). The 20-year-old pop hopeful - who found himself in the bottom two alongside Cher Lloyd after the pair failed to impress the viewers with their versions of 'Let It Be' and 'Imagine' respectively - was forced to leave the ITV1 talent show after judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh chose to save Cher. During the sing-off, Paige - who was saved by his mentor Dannii Minogue - sang Sam Brown hit 'Stop', while Cher performed 'Stay' by Shakespears Sister. After they had both performed, host Dermot O'Leary asked the judges who ..

Cher Lloyd has claimed that she is annoyed that Paije Richardson was axed on tonight's X Factor. Lloyd survived a sing-off with the 20-year-old cinema worker after impressing the judges with an emotional rendition of Shakespears Sister's 'Stay'. Speaking on The Xtra Factor, the Malvern native implied that some of the other acts should have left before Richardson. "I'm a bit speechless. I just want to say sorry," (more)...

Paije Richardson has become the ninth act to be voted out of The X Factor. The former cinema employee pulled out a crowd-pleasing rendition of Sam Brown's 'Stop' after finding himself in the bottom two against Cher Lloyd, who reprised her emotional "performance of the season" from two weeks ago, 'Stay' by Shakespears Sister. When Dermot O'Leary turned to the judges, all four agreed that neither act deserved to be in the sing-off based on last night's performances. First Simon Cowell decided that he was "gonna go with the person who I've continually supported" and voted to save Lloyd. Cheryl Cole quickly echoed Cowell's decision, backing her own act at the expense of Richardson, before Minogue followed suit and voted out Lloyd in order to save her (more)...

Cher Lloyd and Paije Richardson were both placed in the bottom two for the first time on tonight’s X Factor show.
Paije, who originally joined the series as a wildcard, looked shell shocked when the result was announced and told Dermot O’Leary that he would be singing ‘Stop’ as his save me song. Cher Lloyd revealed that she would be singing Shakespears Sister’s ‘Stay’, after it impressed so many of the judges and viewers on the guilty pleasures themed show a few weeks ago.
Paije took to the stage first and he sang his little heart out, not that he ever had a chance against judges blue eye Cher. He was note perfect, vocally amazing and we think the funky singer has really been coming into his own for the last few weeks….it’s a pity he wasn’t allowed to continue down that road.

X Factor judge Dannii Minogue has claimed that contestants One Direction have the same energy as top selling manband Take That.
After the group performed their newest single ‘The Flood’ on Sunday night’s results show, the Australian star admitted that she thinks the teenage singers could emulate their phenomenal success after the show.
She told X Magazine:
“All I think about is when I first saw Take That at the BBC. I remember so vividly, with their codpieces. One Direction have the same energy. They sing really well for a boyband.”
Dannii also revealed that she enjoys watching Cher Lloyd perform on the talent series but thinks that Cheryl Cole may be directing her in the wrong way. She feels the 17 year old should concentrate more on her vocals, as she did when she performed Shakespears Sister’s ‘Stay.’ She added:

Rihanna has climbed to the top of the Irish single's chart this week. The singer scores her third number one track with 'Only Girl (In The World)' following her well-received performance on last weekend's X Factor. She is predicted to repeat the chart success in the UK this week. Rihanna knocks last week's number one from Cheryl Cole down to second place. There is no change from numbers three to seven as tracks from Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Duck Sauce, Cee Lo Green and Mike Posner retain their respective positions. The top ten sees one new entry from Shakespears Sister as 'Stay' returns to the chart 18 years after it topped the chart, thanks to Cher Lloyd's highly-praised performance on The X Factor. X Factor finalist Cher Lloyd has promised that her performance on this week’s live show will be more ‘fun.’
The 17 year old gave an emotional rendition of Shakespears Sister’s ‘Stay’ last Saturday and ended her song in tears, as the judges raved about her surprisingly strong vocals.
However Cher has promised to go back to her old style of mixing songs up and speaking in her official video diary, she admitted that she was relieved when Simon Cowell and co changed the theme from rock to American anthems. Cher said:
We’ve just had the note that our theme for this week has been changed. I’d like to say that I’m really, really nervous, that I’m having a bit of a struggle but actually I’m very very happy with the change because I was scared about the first theme.

Cher Lloyd’s emotional performance of Shakespears Sister’s ‘Stay’, has pushed the track back into the UK top ten.
The track was first released in 1992. It is one of the longest running UK number ones in UK chart history (8 weeks), and the longest by an all-female group or duo.
Despite it’s initial chart success, the song was rarely covered (unless you count French and Saunders!) before last Saturday, when it was tackled by 17 year old Lloyd.
However, since her rendition of the haunting tune, the original track has been snapped up by music fans. It is already at Number 12 in the UK’s iTune charts and is set to go into the official UK singles Top 10 this weekend.
Martin Talbot, managing director of The Official Charts Company, told MailOnline that the track was currently already in the Top 10 according to sales figures so far this week and should...
