More than 100 artists contributed to our “Our Frasier Remake,” a frame-by-frame redo of a 1994 episode of NBC sitcom “Frasier,” with the Seattle psychiatrist reimagined as a Lego figure, as Claymation and a dazzling array of other animation styles.
The trailer for the indie project, which follows similar projects “Our Robocop Remake and “Our Footloose Remake,” dropped on Wednesday. It will premiere on Oct. 11 in theaters in Los Angeles, Seattle and Austin, the day before the official reboot, which sees Kelsey Grammer returning to his Emmy-winning role, debuts on Paramount+
“Our Frasier Remake” redoes the Season 1 finale, with 185 uniquely animated segments: A different artist is responsible for each section, reimagining it in their own visual style.
Creator/director Jacob Reed said the episode is “a thinly veiled question about whether or not a spin-off of ‘Cheers’ called ‘Frasier’ was worth it.”

February’s home media releases are an exceptional bunch, led by Mike Flanagan’s Doctor Sleep adaptation, which is headed to a variety of formats, including 4K Ultra HD. In terms of other recent genre titles making their way to Blu-ray and DVD this Tuesday, horror fans will undoubtedly want to add Rabid (2019), Daniel Isn’t Real, The House That Jack Built, and Mon Mon Mon Monsters! to their collections as well.
We also have a few older titles that are making their way to Blu this week, including Frank Henenlotter’s Brain Damage and Evil Ed, and if you somehow don’t already own them, both the original Halloween and Halloween (2018) are being released on Blu as a double feature from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.
Other notable home media titles arriving on February 4th include The Nightingale, Perfect, Ouija Room, Restricted Access, and 10/31 Part II.

"Bygone Behemoth" is a beautiful stop-motion animated short film that tells the heartbreaking story of an old Godzilla-like movie monster whose fame and career have faded away. The short follows the monster and how he is coping with these changes in his life and relives his days in the movies by watching them. The short was created by Harry Chaskin, and it’s a moving story that I think you’ll enjoy.
This kind of reminded me of another great short film that revolvess around the same kind of subject matter. It’s called Titano! and if you haven’t watched that one yet, you really need to because it’s pretty amazing.

Lexus' L Studio is adding another top-notch team to its list of creative talent. The branded platform is the home of Friendship All-Stars, a new series produced by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich of Robot Chicken fame. Like Robot Chicken, Friendship All-Stars will feature a stop-motion animation style. It will follow the wacky lives of a group of fictional celebrities who live together in a apartment building. The shows three creators--Harry Chaskin, Dan Lippert and Justin Michael--appeared with Green on a joke show called Cutting Bowls With Seth G, where they explained the show while Green gives Lippert a dorky bowl cut. LStudio is best known for Web Therapy, Lisa Kudrow's award-winning web series turned Showtime TV program. Friendship All-Stars will be the seventh comedy to debut on the site. "This is a really unique, original and funny series. It's unapologetically silly and at times, just plain ridiculous,...
