A few years after they started their channel, Bria Kam and Chrissy Chambers, also known as BriaAndChrissy, got the email saying they were verified. They remember that moment in 2014 well. It had been two years since they started their channels, where they posted Lgbt-themed skits and music videos, and they had amassed 100,000 subscribers, the minimum amount required for YouTube verification.
The day they got that check mark, “I felt recognition for working so hard and being able to build up an audience,” Chambers tells Rolling Stone. “It was like the company was saying,...

Chrissy Chambers, a YouTube creator and musician -- who headlines the Bria And Chrissy channel (760,000 subscribers) with her fiancee, Bria Kam -- just scored a major legal victory in a first-of-its-kind U.K. revenge pornography civil lawsuit.
The U.K. High Court ruled yesterday that Chambers receive an undisclosed sum in damages from her British ex-boyfriend, who shared six videos of the couple having sex on a handful of free-to-watch websites. He will also cover all of Chambers’ legal costs. (Chambers’ lawyer said that the overall payment was “substantial”). To celebrate her win, Chambers proposed to Kam on the courthouse steps, whereupon she promptly accepted. "To every victim of this insidious kind of attack, I am here to say: you can fight back, and win. You will heal and move on -- and you will not have to take those steps alone,” Chambers said after the ruling, per the BBC.

YouTube creators (and couple) BriaAndChrissy are taking a brave and definitive stance in their latest music video, Can't Break Me, which also serves a rallying cry for victims of revenge pornography.
The poignant ballad -- co-written by Bria Kam and Chrissy Chambers and featuring lyrics like “Years of healing/And my scars still show” -- holds a special place in Chambers’ heart, she says, as she was a victim of revenge porn in a relationship prior to meeting Kam.
“When I was 18, my ex-boyfriend filmed himself having sex with me while I was unconscious,” Chambers shares in a coda to the music video. “Six out of 10 exes threaten to post explicit content of their former partners,” she adds -- and 90 percent of these victims are women.
Currently, Kam says that the couple is “pursuing the first-ever revenge porn civil lawsuit in England.” (Chambers’ ex hails from the UK, and given...

Good morning! A huge thanks to Heather Hogan for holding it down and doing Morning Brew for the past two weeks while I was in L.A. What a gal.
In some incredibly sad news, Chavela Vargas has passed away at the age of 93. The out lesbian Mexican singer came out at age 81, but defied gender norms throughout her entire career. Rip Miss Vargas.
Rashida Jones is in love with her Parks & Recreation co-star Amy Poehler. She tells HollywoodLife:
I would go gay for her. It doesn’t seem fair that I get to work with her. I love her unconditionally.

Get in line, Rashida! I hope Aubrey Plaza feels the same way about them both.
It looks like Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta star K. Michelle isn't the only bisexual one on the show. Her co-star, Joseline Hernandez,...
