Welcome to this week’s column of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Mr. Rogers here with us. Mr. Rogers: Hello my television neighbor. I wanted to talk to you about violence. When people watch violence, that doesn’t make them violent. Violence is wanting to be violent and then choosing to be violent. When you watch wrestling, you are watching it because you want to watch wrestling. Watching wrestling doesn’t always have a meaning besides wanting to watch wrestling. Wrestling can be fun, but we should always remember that wrestling can hurt the people that do it, because it is violent. When wrestlers get hurt, that’s not your fault. However, you should always try to empathize with them when they are in pain. Mr. Robinson: Hello boys and girls! I’m in pain listening to this old-ass...

For the past seven years, Tna has brought its unique brand of action to the United Kingdom in what is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the company’s calendar. From what started as a small tour in places like Brentwood, Essex and Coventry, the annual tour has blossomed into a block of TV tapings in major arenas across the UK that both thrill Tna’s loyal UK following and make great looking television shows.
For 2016, Tna have announced that they’re going back to their roots with Maximum Impact 8, billed as the most “fan friendly tour” of all time, where backstage passes and other treats will be up for grabs for the loudest fans in each arena. As well as this, Tna have promised family friendly event timings, which one would presume means an earlier start and finish times, as well as a ticket pricing structure suitable for all budgets.

Will Ferrell shocked basketball fans by coldly smacking a cheerleader in the face with a ball on Wednesday (January 21).
Don't worry, it was all a stunt for his latest film, but we're not quite sure if everyone in the audience was aware of what the hell was going on.
The incident occurred during halftime at the Pelicans vs Lakers game, and was part of a shoot for Ferrell's upcoming movie Daddy's Home.
Ferrell's character was attempting a half-court shot while the cheerleaders lined up either side. However, instead of aiming for the basket, he pummels the ball directly into the face of one of the girls.
Within minutes of the shoot, many YouTube clips and Vines were uploaded showing Ferrell getting carried out of the stadium.
The cheerleader in question was actually played by stuntwoman and wrestler Taryn Terrell.
Mark Wahlberg, Linda Cardellini and Hannibal Buress will also star in the comedy project.

Tna gets a lot of flack for taking talent WWE has fired. But they definitely don’t get the appreciation they deserve for building their own stars. Guys like Bobby Roode, Aj Styles, James Storm, Austin Aries, Samoa Joe, Magnus, and Eric Young have all been to the top of the mountain in Tna and have been great main eventers. Granted, some of the talent have made it big on the indies but Tna helped make them a household name and made them more familiar to the mainstream wrestling audience.
Tna also has a knack for taking a talent WWE has, some would say, misused, and make them into something you want to see. Take EC3 for example. Relegated to being a low card guy in WWE, he comes to Tna and shows he is worthy of the main event slot and worthy of a World Championship. Taryn Terrell...

It has been quite a busy time for the rumor mill the past few months with all the speculation that Spike TV is not going to renew Tna Impact, leaving the fate of the show and the company up in the air. Dixie Carter says things are “Ongoing”, but that just means that there still isn’t a deal in place.
With the fate of American’s No. 2 promotion looking grim, this leaves a lot of established talent with very few options. A lot of them have a good chance of making it in Ring of Honor, some Tna stars would de well in Japan, but most of them will probably attempt to make a case to WWE management. Unfrotunately for many of them, the time for a chance at a WWE contract has come and gone.

The Wrestling Observer reports that Scott Hall has spurned a ‘get well soon’ card for a child with terminal cancer. It’s the latest in a sting of incomprehensible incidents around Hall’s actions and attitude.
Despite having made vast riches in the wrestling boom period, despite asking fans to pay for his own recent surgeries, Hall couldn’t even spare his signature for the sick child’s card. The Observer notes that this move will have infuriated Bill Goldberg, who already disliked Hall, and who was taking the cause of the child personally.
The young boy is six year old Danny Nickerson. He lives in Boston and the Observer states that he may not have much time left. Several big name wrestlers were asked to sign a card for him at a Phoenix Autograph event. All of them obliged, including Ric Flair, Bill Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Bret Hart and Edge.
