Gearing up for the big Grammy Awards weekend ahead, Lady Gaga showed up at Epix’s Evening with Arthur Fogel afterparty at Chateau Marmont on Thursday night (January 23).
The “Edge of Glory” singer toned down her wardrobe a bit for the occasion, sporting a one-shoulder cream colored dress with blinged-out earrings and gems affixed to her forehead as she mingled with fellow party-goers at the West Hollywood haunt.
And given her own experience with bullying, it’s no wonder Mother Monster was quick to defend Justin Bieber following his DUI/drag racing/resisting arrest drama earlier in the day.
She posted a message to her fans, stating, “Hey monsters. I know everyone today is taking about Justin‘s arrest and all sorts of words and judgments are happening on the Internet. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and to stand up for themselves, but I think we should be supportive of Beliebers.

There's been a bit of shizz slinging of late regarding Madonna's new album, her world tour and whether we should be calling either a success.
After earning positive reviews and debuting strongly at #1, Mdna, experienced a sharp sales decline in its second week and a majority of her Us tour dates have yet to sell out. Those two facts taken together sent a few music writers down the rabbit hole, with some going so far as to say Live Nation, which signed Madonna to a $120 million 360 deal with in 2007, was concerned over both her album and concert ticket sales given the size and length (10 years) of their commitment to the Queen of Pop.

There's a reason Lady Gaga doesn't ever seem to want to wrap up her globe-trotting Monster Ball Tour: It's a moneymaking machine.
Billboard is reporting that, by the time the curtain finally falls on the Ball — which kicked off in November 2009 and is scheduled to run until at least April 2011 — it will have grossed nearly $200 million worldwide.
It's a huge number, to be sure, and it's more proof that Gaga has ascended to the upper echelon of touring acts. In 2009, U2's 360 Tour was the year's top-grossing jaunt, raking in more than $300 million, according to Billboard. Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour was at #2, with receipts of more than $220 million. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band landed at #3, grossing more than $156 million.

Hollywoodnews.com: Bono’s back injury might end up being more of a pain for U2 fans holding tickets to the band’s upcoming concert tour.
Not that the lead singer is recuperating from emergency surgery conducted in Germany, the iconic rock act has been forced to cancel its North American tour, according to Time Magazine.
U2 had 16 shows on the schedule in June and July. International fans are also left holdign the bag, as U2 has dropped out of a headlining gig for England’s famous Glastonbury festival.
“I’m heartbroken,” Bono said in a statement. “We really wanted to be there to do something really special.”
So when will Bono be back on his feet? The band’s official Web site says the earliest possible date would be Aug. 6, when U2 is scheduled to play Turin, Italy. But that’s just if the recovery goes according to plan.

Lady GaGa has upset Alphabeat, the supporting act of her U.K. Monster Ball tour. She was claimed by the Danish pop band to have only focused on perfecting her own act and given them no soundcheck time for each show.
"The first time we got to see the stage was when we performed each night," one of the band's member Anders Sg testified to the press. "She said, 'I promise you'll get your soundcheck,' but we never did."
"We didn't really get to socialize with her either," he continued on criticizing the way she treated her tour partners. "She had 30 trucks and 12 tour buses. About five of those were for her clothes. We have one bus and a truck."
This is not the first time Lady GaGa comes under fire concerning her on-going traveling show. Fans were previously outraged after learning that tickets for her new tour dates in the U.

Madonna broke her own record for top-grossing tour by a solo artist. Tour promoter Live Nation Inc. has announced on Wednesday, September 2 that the "Material Girl" songstress has earned approximately $408 million after performing in front of more than 3.5 million fans at 85 shows for her "Sticky & Sweet" tour.
With this impressive tally, the former wife of director Guy Ritchie has broken her previous record from her 2006's "Confessions" tour, which earned her $194 million after playing to 1.2 million fans at 60 shows. The number also placed "Sticky & Sweet" on the runner-up position of the top-grossing tour overall, following behind "Bigger Bang" tour by The Rolling Stones, which earned the band $558 million.
Of Madonna's record breaking tour, Live Nation's Chairman of Global Music and CEO of Global Touring Arthur Fogel said, "With "Sticky & Sweet" Madonna has proven yet again that there is virtually no limit to what she can accomplish both creatively and commercially.
