It’s been almost nine years since comedy legend Joan Rivers died following complications during a minor throat procedure. On that day, her daughter Melissa Rivers not only lost her mother but also lost a business partner. They publicly shared their personal lives on the reality series “Joan Knows Best,” on the red carpet every awards season and as critics and producers on “Fashion Police.” If that sounds like the formula for a complicated relationship, you’re right.
“Anyone who says that mother-daughter relationships aren’t complicated is lying,” Melissa told TheWrap. “They can be amazing and you can be close and you can have wonderful relationships with mothers and daughters, but no matter what, they’re complicated.”
Although we got to see them standing on opposite sides of every red carpet during awards season with mic in hand interviewing celebrities who were dressed to the nines and asking “Who are you wearing?...

Welcome to this week’s “Just for Variety.”
Marlon Wayans says it’s time for a sequel to “White Chicks.” In the 2004 comedy, he and his brother Shawn Wayans star as FBI agents who pretend to be the young white vapid socialites that they have been assigned to protect from a potential kidnapping. “I think ‘White Chicks 2’ is necessary,” Marlon Wayans tells me. “I think we’ve tightened up so much that we need to loosen our ties a bit and laugh a little bit.” The $37 million film grossed more than $113 million worldwide. “I don’t think Hollywood understands what a juggernaut ‘White Chicks 2’ would be,” Wayans says. The brothers have plenty of story ideas for a sequel. “And the world just keeps giving us more,” Wayans says. “‘White Chicks 2’ is writing itself.”
The actor can now be seen on the big screen playing Aretha Franklin’s (Jennifer Hudson) abusive first husband Ted White.

The biggest wedding of the year is finally here, and we’ve got all the intel on where and how to watch the royal affair, whether you’re a cord-cutter or loyal to your network TV.
The wedding between Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle will begin at noon in Windsor, England. In the U.S., that’s 7 a.m. on the East Coast and an early 4 a.m. for left coasters — but arrivals begin at least two hours before that … so get your (caffeinated) tea ready.
Several celebrities are expected to show up, from Markle’s “Suits” co-star Patrick Adams to Sir Elton John. And while Markle’s father won’t be attending the wedding because of his health, Prince Charles will walk her at least some of the way down the aisle on Saturday.

As the original host of E’s “Fashion Police” Joan Rivers defined the show which premiered in September 2010. Rivers led a panel of stylists and fashion-conscience celebrities including George Kotsiopoulos, Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne to critique our favorite celebrity’s fashion choices. She was unceasingly and relentlessly impolite and made merry work of mercilessly skewering celebrity’s red carpet outfits. Her banter was outrageous and hilarious. But walking the tight rope of engaging the viewer’s love-hate relationship with celebrity glamour is a tricky business. It seems since Ms. Rivers’ sad passing the show has struggled to find that balance. Instead it

It’s awards season, folks! And with that comes the Golden Globes, the Oscars, and, of course, the return of E!’s Fashion Police. Initially, Fashion Police‘s return was questionable following Rivers’ passing. Everyone, including E! itself, knew that the infamous TV personality and comedienne was the main draw for viewers that would tune into the show. Rivers showed no mercy to Amber Rose and the revealing Laura Dewitt chain dress she wore to the Aug. 24th VMAs. “Amber's outfit is almost as tacky as Amber's seat was when she got up.
