Vaibhav Mathur, who plays Tika in the popular TV show ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai’, talks about his inspiring journey as an actor and how he got the opportunity to be part of the show. When asked if he always wanted to be an actor, he replies: “I was always a dramatic kid. I realised that acting was my thing at a very young age. I used to mimic my teachers, and my classmates laughed at me. Over time, I became more interested in doing voice-over and participating in school plays. A lot of times, I represented my college at Nukkad Natak.”
“That was the beginning of my ultimate journey to becoming an actor. After my academics, I started doing theatre and did many commercials. Looking at my capabilities, I was also offered a scholarship from Hrd (Human Resource Department) in Delhi, which helped me gain the confidence to pursue acting as my full-time career.

Actors perform for their audience. It’s the reaction, love and appreciation they receive from their fans that get them going. Feedback is therefore important for a performer. But many can’t take criticism. They only want to hear nice things about their craft. Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai actor Charrul Malik shares her opinion.
“I always take feedback seriously. Deepesh Bhan always gave me feedback, “Charrul don’t keep your hair straight, keep it curly, wavy and that looks good on you.” In the beginning I thought my original hair style was good. I always take everyone’s feedback positively. In fact in Bhabiji Ghar par Hain, I didn’t get much feedback. I am still craving for feedback.
If you are not getting feedback from anyone, you get nervous, criticise, say good or bad anything but say something. I really want people to come to me and give me feedback.

New Delhi, Aug 12 (Ians) While exercise is essential for good health, fitness freaks must be mindful of their health conditions to prevent injury, especially to their heart, said experts on Friday.
Stand-up comedian Raju Srivastav was reportedly running on the treadmill when he suffered cardiac arrest and was rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Science, Delhi. Srivastav, 59, continues to be “critical and on ventilator”.
“If someone above the age of 50 years is starting to go to the gym, then it may be better to get yourself checked by a cardiologist or do a stress test,” said Dr Tilak Suvarna, Senior Interventional Cardiologist, Asian Heart Institute, Mumbai.
“Avoid overdoing any exercise. Moderate exercise is good enough to reduce your risk of a heart attack,” he said, adding that work out should be immediately stopped if one “gets symptoms of chest pain or shortness of breath or light-headedness while working out.
