Update: Apparently, whether Donald Trump was booed or cheered at his Madison Square Garden appearance is a matter of perspective. The New York Post proclaimed that the President was greeted with cheers, while more partisan opponents in the media claimed the boos outweighed the huzzahs.
Trump himself chose to tout the positives, with support from Ufc fighter Jorge Masvidal.

Walking into Madison Square Garden last night with @danawhite for the big @Ufc Championship fight was a little bit like walking into a Trump Rally. Plenty of Maga & Kag present. Great energy. Fantastic job Dana! Heading to D.C. and then to Kentucky for a big @MattBevin Rally…

Ufc president Dana White has praised Trump for backing the Ufc early on—including agreeing to host fights at his venues and watching from the front row.
