- Derek Dubois is an award-winning writer/director from Rhode Island. His credits include the short films Fallout, Lucid, and Sinners as well as several documentaries. - Derek Dubois attended film school at Rhode Island College from 2004-2008. He then continued at RIC in the Media Studies M.A. program where he now teaches as an adjunct film professor.
- Dubois' first film was called Good News, Bad News. It was shot entirely with a cast of friends and family. No copy is believed to be in existence today.
- Derek was suspended from high school as a freshman in 2001 for writing a sexually explicit parody song about his female English teacher. Later in life, Dubois shot the award-winning documentary "Hot for Teacher" about this experience in his life.
