Vince McMahon is the creative genius behind Wrestlemania. However, regarding other things that Vince is the “creative genius” behind, that’s actually an incredibly small number of things for which he is deemed almost solely responsible. Yes, outside of wrestling there’s things like the Xfl that get bandied about as key McMahon mistakes. However, when it comes to WWE, outside of Wrestlemania, Vince has absolutely had more epic moments of complete failure than successes.
In the current era, much ado is made over Vince being “an out-of-touch 70 year-old man.” However, when Vince was a 50 year-old man and 60-year old man he was as much (or even more) out of touch than he is now, with a series of creative decisions made exclusively by him that leave much to be desired in terms of actual success.

The WWE main roster is always changing, some wrestlers leave for whatever reason happens to cause their departure, some wrestlers move up the card because management wants to give them a push and some wrestlers move downwards, or stay still, sometimes merely because the creative team has a lack of ideas for their television character.
The last twelve months have been memorable and a lot has happened to the main WWE roster since June of 2013. So, let’s take a look at the main superstars who are on the main stage of WWE, rate them, and look at how their future in WWE looks at this moment.
The grading system is as follows:
A+ – Is/Should be one of the main faces of WWE. A true star.
A – Should be/Is in the main event scene and has the talent to stay there.
B – Should be being pushed as a future top contender.

When you fall in love with professional wrestling (as we all have, hopefully), you hold yourself open to being sucked in by a good rumour or two. If you’re a serious WWE fan, one of your favourite hobbies will be scouring Internet sites to find out if there are any dramatic twists in the pipeline.
And whilst it’s nice to be ahead of the game and be on top of what’s happening, don’t you sometimes wish you didn’t know – and you’d be surprised a bit more? WrestleMania is one such show where rumours, conjecture and speculation are at their peak, and it’s always an event that literally throws up anything for us loving fans.
And given how there have been 30 editions of the show, there are always going to be stories which have slipped through the net. Whether it’s backstage...

The annual Royal Rumble match, held in January, is one of the highlights of the wrestling year, as thirty men from an assortment of different spots on the card enter the ring and participate in an hour of relentless and unpredictable action until just one man is left standing, receiving a title match at Wrestlemania for his troubles.
The brainchild of Pat Patterson, the match was first held in 1988, where just twenty men competed and ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan emerged victorious. Twenty six years later, the match dawns upon us once again.
Though the current roster has an abundance of talent, this has not always been the case, and in years gone by the WWE has had to scrape the very bottom of the barrel on occasion (who can forget the appearances of Squat Team Member #1 and Squat Team Member #2 in 1996!) to fill the Rumble match with thirty participants. As a result of this,...

Welcome to this week’s results and review write up of WWE Raw, the flagship show of the biggest sports entertainment company in the world.
So, tonight is a special “Slammy Awards” themed Raw, with awards being given out throughout the evening in a variety of categories, including “Superstar of the Year”, “Rookie of the Year”, “Diva of the Year” and “Match of the Year”. So let’s get going shall we?
The show begins, live from Washington, with local boy, and most-over guy in WWE, Daniel Bryan, making his way to the ring to a monster pop and thousands of “yes” chants from the fans in attendance. His opponent tonight is the dancing, silk shirt wearing, former Johnny Curtis, Fandango, who is accompanied by the lovely Summer Rae. The match isn’t a long one, but allows both men to get some offence in before the inevitable victory of Bryan.

Welcome back to the Nxt reviews, this week’s show starts with a promo video hyping Fandango appearing at tonight’s Nxt taping. Faaaaaan-daaaaaan-goooooo.
We head to ringside as the ring announcer introduces Summer Rae and Fandango for a mixed tag team match. Johnny Curtis is back in Nxt, a fact I’m sure he isn’t exactly giddy about. Emma makes her way out, in new ring attire, with her chosen partner for the night, Santino Marella. Oh dear. The fans, for some reason I can’t put my finger on anymore, pop loud for Santino. Santino speed walks and Emma does it too. The fans, before anything has really happened, chant “this is awesome”. Proof that there’s still some steam in the Santino train yet. Santino poses for the crowd and Fandango retorts with a dance move of two. The match from then on is merely a...

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been really critical of the corporate storyline in the WWE. Why? Put quite simply there wasn’t enough balance. While it’s great that the corporate regime has looked strong, the good guys have looked rather neutered in what they’ve been able to accomplish. I know that comes with giving the heel faction credibility, but when the leader is the corporate head of the company that just came off to me as overkill. Luckily, the scale seemed a little more even this week as it set up more of an even playing field. Let’s not get too ahead of myself.
The show opens with Triple Hi introducing the face of the company Randy Orton who says that protecting the image of WWE is his number one priority concert (insert wellness policy violation joke here). Randy says he doesn’t want anyone...

After last week’s stellar performance, it seemed WWE was starting to get what was behind the bearded wonder also known as Daniel Bryan. Bryan continues to be one of the most popular superstars of the modern era of the WWE. The “Yes” chant has transcended the world of sports entertainment into popular culture reaching into other venues. T-shirts and other merchandise seems to have permeated through the crowd at WWE events. And his talent and skill go unmatched by few on the roster. The question is why do they want to put him in the mold of a PG Steve Austin? I guess I better start at the beginning.
The show begins with Brad Maddox coming out along with the Chairman. Maddox apologizes for his stupid decision of letting John Cena decide his own opponent for SummerSlam. Vince goes into the reasons why Daniel Bryan should not be WWE Champion.

This week’s edition of WWE Nxt comes to us from Providence, Rhode Island. Josh Matthews and the Miz welcome the audience on commentary as action begins with Christian versus Fandango. Now when you first hear those two are paired together, you would think the match was subpar . Far from the case, the former Johnny Curtis really brought it. Fandango seems to be on a roll when it comes to strong matches.
(And it should be mentioned that Summer Rae is awesome in her role. From her reactions to her mannerisms on the outside. She is so great and will probably go unappreciated by most fans. But she is awesome at what she does. She really adds a lot to the overall presentation of Fandango.)
Christian gets the victory with a surprise roll up. I’m sure Captain Charisma would’ve smiled more if he didn’t need a root...

Over the last few weeks, Raw has been very entertaining to say the least. With the rise of Daniel Bryan, the disintegration of the Punk- Heyman relationship and Kaitlyn and Aj battling it out, the show has felt more vibrant. However, even with all those elements still in play the show felt a little lackluster then in previous weeks.
The show begins not with a recap of last week as has been customary for the last few months, but with a cold open with Vickie Guerrero. The managing supervisor announces the champion versus champion main event with Alberto del Rio and John Cena.
This would lead to a showcase of great WWE and World Champions of their perspective eras. I like the pomp and circumstance of it all, but I think more often than not, regardless of how you hype the match it just doesn’t matter like used to.

Smackdown this week from Knoxville was quite the song and dance. With most most of the roster already in the UK it was a bare-bones crew. However, there was some solid wrestling and silliness definitely thrown in for good measure.
The show opens with Fandango having his long elaborate entrance as the crowd very quietly hums the theme. Then his attention turns to Lillian Garcia as he tests her dancing abilities asking her if she wants to Fandango with him. This leads to some awkward sequence where it almost looks like Garcia wanted to kiss him at one point. I love the combination of dirty Johnny Curtis from Nxt and Fandango it gives the character a lot more depth. In the end, Fandango drops Lillian for her bad skills leaving her distraught.
Santino comes out calling the dancing douche bag a couple bad names that he thinks are funny before they get to the match.

If there’s one message to take away from this week’s Monday Night Raw from Greenville, South Carolina it would be expect the unexpected. From quick upset wins over champions to out of nowhere attacks on certain superstars, it seemed like WWE was really trying to get people talking. But did it work? Let’s talk about it.
The show began with a handicap match featuring Sheamus and Randy Orton getting revenge once again on The Big Show. This time Randy and Sheamus are able to use their teamwork to easily dispatch the giant superstar with a Brogue Kick/Rko Combo clean for the win. After this, I wasn’t sure what was left in this feud since they just got the victory. Well, my questions were answered later on in the night as with a second attack on Sheamus Mark Henry has now been added to the mix...

You want to talk about a quick turnaround, last week Johnny Curtis A.K.A. Fandango was hated and booed out of the building on WWE’s Raw. Cries of “WWE fans don’t have the patience for him“, “he doesn’t deserve the push” or/and “why is he facing Jericho at Maina” were omnipresent online. Now one week later that has all changed. Literally Fandango looks to be 2013′s Daniel Bryan, and just like Bryan he has go over what was on paper one of the worst gimmicks in WWE history. And guys, that is saying something!
How did this happen? Well we must go back to Monday’s Raw which came from the Izod Centre, in New Jersey. The NJ/NY crowd is a time-tested amazing crowd and that night was no exception, although I wish the crowd was that good the next before. The show that...

Last night’s Monday Night Raw had one of the most incredible crowds in WWE history. I was lucky enough to be there. Whether it was the crowds response to an overall average WrestleMania or the electricity of the post-Mania show, this crowd was buzzing throughout the entire night. To be a part of it is something I’ll remember the rest of my life.
It all started right from the very beginning. John Cena came out to open the show and was met with relentless boos ad chants telling him he sucked and should maybe try some new things. Not in those nice of words though I’m afraid. Cena though, to his credit, has embraced the hatred from fans recently and has fun with it only adding the crowds fire. Cena challenged anyone in the back to a WWE Championship match and Mark Henry came strolling out, the...

WWE definitely had its campaign hat on as Monday Night Raw came from the Beltway and Washington, DC as the company tried the hard sell on why you should buy Wrestlemania this Sunday on pay-per-view. This episode much like the politicians that reside there was all talk and no action. But was it good old-fashioned rhetoric or just a filibuster? I’ve already cast my vote… Let’s see what you think.
The show opened up with John Cena giving his final speech and into MetLife Stadium and how he will overcome his past failure and take that symbol created by The Rock (his words not mine fans of Cm Punk). A lot of this for standard Cena saying the same things we have heard week after week on how he has to beat The Rock to prove to himself that he can do it. That is better than The Rock.
