Hélène Biandudi Hofer is an award-winning journalist, a documentary filmmaker and the host and producer of the PBS weekly news magazine show, Need to Know, on WXXI Television in Rochester, New York. She's also the owner of HBH Enterprises, LLC, a solutions storytelling media group. HBH Enterprises partners with businesses, news outlets, nonprofits, and others to create and produce short films focused on unique solutions to social issues around the globe.
Among her current projects is The Empty Hanger. This original series created by Hélène uncovers and reveals the untold and often overlooked stories of the people who design, manufacture, tailor, study, wear, talk about and claim to be forever changed by clothing. One goal of The Empty Hanger is to challenge and expand how consumers view fashion choices and everyday dress by examining the varying degrees of impact and influence of clothing on our culture.
Hélène previously worked at the CBS Primetime show 48 Hours Mystery in New York City where she contributed to several documentary specials for the network, including the first inauguration of Barack Obama, the death of music icon Michael Jackson, and the CBS/Vogue Fashion's Night Out program.
