Charlie Wright’s casting as Rodrick Heffley in the fourth live-action Diary of a Wimpy Kid film sparked the #NotMyRodrick meme, which the actor claimed had “ruined my career”. In a video about the incident that was uploaded on YouTube and TikTok on Sunday, the actor addressed the harsh criticism he received after playing Rodrick Heffley in what is considered to be his first public statement.
In the nine-minute clip, Wright talked about the negative reaction that followed the initial release of David Bowers’ Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul trailer in early 2017. This revelation has sparked outrage among fans, who are now calling for a much-needed change in the entertainment industry.

The West Orange Scholarship Fund (Wosf) Board of Trustees announced today the establishment of a permanent endowment in memory of musician and music executive Tommy Page, former publisher of Billboard and a longtime executive at Warner Bros. Records. Page, best known to the public for his 1990 No. 1 single “I’ll Be Your Everything,” died last March at the age of 46.
He was a resident of West Orange with his partner, Charlie Wright, and their three children who currently attend the city’s public schools. The scholarship was founded by his friend and long-time attorney, Mark Levinsohn, and devoted friend and neighbor, Lisa Boymann, “in the hopes of continuing to keep Tommy’s spirit, love of music, and memory alive,” according to an announcement.

"There's a new hero who dares to be... wimpy." Fox has debuted the official theatrical trailer for the latest sequel in the comedy series Diary of a Wimpy Kid, this one subtitled The Long Haul, about a family road trip. This is the fourth movie in the cinematic franchise based on the series of books by Jeff Kinney. Young actor Jason Drucker plays Greg, who convinces his family to take a road trip to attend his great grandmother's 90th birthday as a cover for what he really wants: to attend a nearby gamer convention. The cast includes Jason Ian Drucker, Charlie Wright, Owen Asztalos, Tom Everett Scott, and Alicia Silverstone. Surprisingly, this trailer is better than the teaser trailer but cuts out all the gaming convention footage. This actually looks like it might be an enjoyable road trip comedy, but I'm still not going to watch it. Here's the second...

"A Wimp will rise." Fox has released an extended teaser trailer for the latest sequel in the comedy series Diary of a Wimpy Kid, this one subtitled The Long Haul, about a family road trip. This is the fourth movie in the cinematic franchise based on the popular series of books by Jeff Kinney. The cast includes Jason Ian Drucker, Charlie Wright, Owen Asztalos, Tom Everett Scott, and Alicia Silverstone. Yes, this looks as campy and as absurd as you might expect for the fourth movie in the Wimpy Kid series. Not for me. Here's the first teaser trailer for David Bowers' Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, from YouTube: In...

When the original Diary Of A Wimpy Kid movie first arrived in 2010, it would have been hard to conceive that it could become a four-film-spawning franchise that would still be kicking some seven years later. However, after a five-year dormancy, the series, based on the irreverent novels written and illustrated by Jeff Kinney, is set to relaunch with its fourth film entry Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul.
