Is the decade-long “The Voice” Instant Save curse about to be broken? If John Legend‘s Florida singer Omar Jose Cardona ends up winning Season 22 during the Tuesday, December 13 finale, he’ll make history as the first artist to prevail who was previously saved by social media users. Since the creation of the Instant Save twist in Season 6, none of its recipients have ever gone on to win “The Voice.” Britton Buchanan (Season 14) and Toneisha Harris (Season 18) came closest by each placing second behind their winners, but all of the other times the saved artist finished near the bottom of their respective finales.

The battle round of Season 21 of “The Voice” came to a close on October 19 leaving coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Ariana Grande with eight artists remaining on their teams. Throughout this round each coach was allowed one steal and one save. The eight members of each team now consist of six artists who won their battles, one losing artist each coach stole from another team and one losing artist the coach saved from their own team.
The most memorable battle of the season pitted two soul singers against each other, singing a pop/rock song and representing their country coach. When Wendy Moten and Manny Keith took the stage for Team Blake performing “If I Ever Lose My Faith in You” by Sting it was almost a foregone conclusion that Wendy would wipe the floor with the performer 25 years her junior. Manny went toe-to-toe with the seasoned...

“Never!” is the quick response Emmy winner Carson Daly has when asked if he predicted his hosting gig on “The Voice” would last for 20 seasons. “It was quite the opposite. People thought we were crazy. If you recall the landscape in television at that time, ‘American Idol,’ by all accounts, was kind of rounding third heading for home after their monumental success. Yet there still seemed to be an appetite for singing competitions because ‘X-Factor’ was coming over from Europe. When we got this format from Holland, we had a very small window of time to get it on NBC before ‘X-Factor.’ We never thought we’d last, we barely thought we would survive.” Watch the exclusive video interview with Daly above.

During Tuesday’s finale of “The Voice” Season 20, fans everywhere celebrated the return of one of the reality TV show’s original coaches, Adam Levine. The former occupant of the big red chair reunited with old “frenemy” Blake Shelton at the start of the episode. As you’ll recall, Levine was a coach on the reality TV program between Season 1 and Season 16, leaving unexpectedly after that and being replaced last-minute by Shelton’s girlfriend Gwen Stefani.
“I was just texting to say I can’t wait to see you,” a giddy Blake told a pink-haired Adam in the pre-taped video package. After they took a selfie together, Adam got annoyed by how excited Blake was to see him. When Adam walked toward the entrance of the building, Blake told him, “I’m texting you that you’re wearing two shirts right now. Did you get the text? Did you get it?...

As the only coach who’s been with “The Voice” since day one, Blake Shelton understandably has more victories than anyone else. But that still doesn’t take away from the fact that he just won his 8th championship out of 20 seasons thanks to Cam Anthony. (See “The Voice” winners list.)
Season 20 ended on Tuesday night with Cam, the 19-year-old soul/R&b singer from Pennsylvania, claiming victory over Kenzie Wheeler (Team Kelly Clarkson), Jordan Matthew Young (also Team Blake), Rachel Mac (Team Nick Jonas) and Victor Solomon (Team John Legend). In recent weeks, Blake received flack for saying Cam would become the show’s biggest “superstar” ever, but he doubled down on that statement during the two-night finale.

“The Voice” has crowned its Season 20 champion: Congrats to Cam Anthony from Team Blake!
The five Season 20 finalists were Cam Anthony and Jordan Matthew Young from Team Blake, Kenzie Wheeler from Team Kelly, Victor Solomon from Team Legend and Rachel Mac from Team Nick.
In addition to the finalists and their coaches, Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, Snoop Dogg with DJ Battlecat, Gwen Stefani ft. Saweetie, Thomas Rhett, OneRepublic, Lauren Daigle, Ben Platt, and Kelsea Ballerini took the stage during Tuesday’s live, two-hour Season 20 finale on NBC.
Below are the “Voice” bios for the five finalists.
Victor Solomon
Victor and his three siblings were raised by a single mom. He remembers times when they went without electricity and water, but they were a tight-knit family and always got through the difficult times together. Victor started singing in church at 6 years old and won his eighth grade talent show by singing John Legend’s “Ordinary People.

No pressure or anything, Cam Anthony. However, going into Tuesday’s Season 20 finale of The Voice, he was not only the favorite to win but the contestant that over and over again coach Blake Shelton had suggested could be the first actual superstar launched by the show.

Pete Mroz and Blake Shelton have been buddies ever since they were young up-and-comers, but that friendship didn’t help Pete when it came to getting Blake’s save in the first live results show of “The Voice” Season 20. After America voted to advance Cam Anthony to the next round, the country coach shockingly saved Jordan Matthew Young instead of Pete. That meant Pete, who had higher votes than teammate Anna Grace, got one last chance to sing for his life via the wild card instant save; he lost to Corey Ward.

Team Nick Jonas got a big boost on Monday night’s episode of “The Voice” when viewers voted that Devan Blake Jones was the winner of the 4-way knockout. The Knockouts for Season 20 of “The Voice” concluded on Monday, April 26, and coach John Legend is hoping to return to the trophy wall after two years since his only win. With a team of four female vocalists and only one male, John has developed a group of precision singers that straddle the soul, gospel and pop genres, making them one of the most competitive for the few spots that they’ll occupy after the first live show.
The Top 17 will sing live for America’s vote on Monday, May 10 and the results will be announced on Tuesday, May 11. “The Road to Lives – 10th Anniversary Edition” will air the week prior on May 3. If the same format as last season is followed, the top vote-getter from each team will advance to the next round and each coach will then get to choose one more artist to represent them in the semi-finals.
